answer 1
After more research I found a more extensive ingredients list and unfortunately the fragrance portion of this tanner DOES contain parabens:
Ingredients for:
Faux Tan Self-Tanner:
Purified Water (Aqua), Dihydroxyacetone, Caprylic/Capric, Triglyceride, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate (and) Peg-100 Stearate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Stearate, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol (and) Tyrosine (and) Glucose, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Ascorbic Acid, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Phenoxyethanol
Fragrance (Parfum), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Sodium Metabisulfite, Citric Acid, BHT, Tetrasodium EDTA, Blue 1 (CI 42090), Red 40 (CI 16035), Yellow 5 (CI 19140)
I will not be purchasing this product because of the synthetic materials and dyes that I am now aware of. It's unfortunate because I thought BE was truly "natural." Hope this info helps.
answer 2
I've been wondering the same thing and found this info online:
Bare Escentuals Faux Tan Self Tanner is a lightweight formula that dries quickly. It will not clog pores and is safe for sensitive skin since this is a natural based formula. Aloe vera and vegetable emolients protect the skin, keeping it fully hydrated, moisturized and soft. Don’t forget to use an exfoliator first for best results.

Looks like there are no parabens or lauryl/laureth sulfates....I've heard mixed things about propylene glycol but overall the ingredients list looks pretty safe to me.
