Aging Skin

Anyone with over 50 skin use this and how do you like it? I currently use the Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream but wonder if I can use the Essential-C in tandem with the Renewing to get the benefit of both. (like, one in a.m. and one in p.m.)

I'm 48 and I love it. My skin is dry and I have concerns with wrinkles and fine lines. I use this one because I don't like creamy or milky cleansers. I prefer a foaming gel cleanser and this one is perfect.

I am mid-50's, have been using this product for a couple of years, and love it. My skin is not dry, but I do have sun damage and am sensitive to dyes and perfumes in many facial care products. I use it twice a day and it cleanses without being too harsh. I think it would be a good night time product because it removes makeup well.

I'm over 50, and I like this product better than the one you are using. It feels less heavy and cleaner, at least to me. My mother who is nearing 80 also likes this. Of course, one consideration is that neither my mother nor I have dry skin, so that may have a lot to do with how we like the product.

Break-outs ???

Does the cleanser control break out by any chance? I only get occasional zits here nad there so I don't need a strong acne cleanser but was wondering if this is deep cleansing and preventing against break outs.

I don't think that it control it. but the cleanser remove the bacteria so you have less chance that have breakouts after : )

This is perfect for you! IT really does prevent breakouts, because it cleanses and dries out those areas that are acne prone, at least, I find it to do that for my t-zone area, give it a try!

I get occasional mild acne, and when I used this regularly in conjunction with the other Murad vitamin C products I had almost no breakouts, and my skin was a lot brighter. I tend to have problems with my skin being dull because of breakouts with dry skin, but this solved both problems.

I wouldn't say it controls break outs, at least not for me. I don't have any sort of big break outs, but I do get the occasional pimple here and there and haven't noticed that this helps in that regard.

My skin is very prone to acne but this has not made it break out. I think it actually has helped to dry out and zits that come along. I have a lot of sun spots on my face that it has faded.

I am 53 and have been using high-end skin care products for 30 years. I have found that the only cleansers that really do anything are those meant to serve a very specific treatment purpose and those meant for very oily or very dry skin. All the others meant for "all skin types" don't really do anything special.

This cleanser made my skin appear smoother and less blotchy. I also used the Murad kit for sun damage which includes not only the cleanser, but a skin lightener, a serum, and sun block, prior to using just the cleanser. I thought all the products worked well. My sun spots are barely visable and the blotchy areas alot lighter. The serum worked, but is expensive! And I have enough of the sun screen left to use this summer-we don't get much sunshine in the winter!

yes! I would start out only using it once a day in case it should irrate your skin. I have really picky skin and this has been just wonderful if I only use it once a day. I use Oil of Olay for sensitive skin at night. works out great!

My skin has some minor sun damage and also considerable ruddiness. This cleanser is fine but doesn't work any miracles. It is very mild and slighly hydrating and very, very slightly exfoliating, but that's about it. I think for our skin issues, we need something more aggressive.

Compared to Ole's vitamin c cleaner?

I think it is called on the go. Is this better or about the same? I also had a question about the scent. Does it go bad quickly? I had one that i had started using, but i put it away to use another one. When I went back to use it, it smelled funky. It was only about a month of not using it.

I've used both, and I like Murad's SO much better. I always feel like I can't get Ole's off my face all the way, but this feels light and clean. And this does a much better job brightening than Ole. I prefer the Murad Vitamin C toner over Ole's as well. I think it's just a better product and the smell stays great the whole time :)

This doesn't make a foam. Not sure how it compares to the other. But it makes like a silkyish layer while it cleanses well and feels very refreshing on the face. Doesn't feel rough or leave you red like other exfoliants.

My skin can definitely be dry at times...I live in a dry climate. This cleanser does not dry out my skin, but I am not sure I would use it in hopes of moisturizing. It would probably depend on how dry your skin is...but it is definitely a product I would recommend.
