Definitely worth it! I use this when I'm having my worse breakouts and oil.
I alternate with the Fresh Umbrian Clay Mask in the tube when my skin needs an anti-acne/oil absorbing mask but is feeling more sensitive and/or dry/stressed.
But, YES, I really feel this product is worh it and a MUST! A little will really spread out and go a long way, too. If it's easy for you to get to a store request a sample. If not, you can return or exchange. You should go in and request a few masks so you can use them all then compare and choose your best & favorites for all your skin situations.

Yes, it's worth the money. I just wrote a review that will take a few days to show up, but this plus the Murad Acne Spot treatment are my go-to items. They clear me right up - fast. Although gentle and natural, this mask is intensive and really works and lasts a really long time. It's thick, sucks out the germs, and you shouldn't feel you wasted your money.

You should definetly pop into a sephora near you and request a sample of this. I love this product and it has SERIOUSLY cleared up some INTENSELY painful cystic (under the skin) acne literally OVERNIGHT...but, some people can't handle the strong scent of sulfur and of course, everyone's skin is different and reacts differently to different products. As mentioned, the Origins Charcoal mask is also known to pull out impurities in the skin and work for acne, but, that specific mask has actually caused me MORE breakouts...so I can't use it.
Bottom line: IF you can, request a sample in the store and give it a try. I love this product.

I'd try a couple of cheaper ones first. I really only use this because it's part of the system I like. It's really nice and works well, but there could be others out there you'd like just as well, and this one IS expensive. Origins makes a nice clarifying mask that's cheaper I think-its black and uses active charcoal.

I use philosophy face wash twice a day. I use several different face moisturizers. I switch around on face creams. I use this product (murad clarifying face mask) about once a week and love it. It has made a differnce in my skin. I had really clogged pores and this as worked better than anything else. I have tried so many other expensive products with little to no results. This worked after the first time.

Yes - most Brand lines are not one-stop shops, though they'd like you to be. No woman's face will ever be completely served by using all the products of one line. I use a mix of Murad, Dermalogica, Dr. Peter Thomas Roth, and Philosophy, so you should be fine. :) I use this masque for problem flareups. Note, you should never use ONE mask all the time unless you consistently only have one problem to treat. If acne is your main issue then yes you can still use this pretty regularly, but you'll probably only need this 1-2x a month (maybe more if you have lots of acne issues).

I'd probably intersperse this with 1-2x a month to fight existing acne and prevent acne during hot summer months, particularly in tropical areas. Rest of the month, 1-2x, something tightening, lightening, or rejuvenating, something strong in antioxidants or Vitamin C.

This product definately helps with oil control! I have combination skin with an oily T-zone but this product helps keep it under control. I recommend using the Murad acne control system (Cleanser, Toner, etc) for you blackheads. The mask helps decrease redness, swelling, and visibility of acne but it does not make it go away. Think of it as more of a supplement to the Murad system, useful in combination but just alright on its own

YES, YES, YES! Use this then a Biore pore strip and youll be so clear and smooth! This REALLY pulls blackheads out and allows the strips to grab EVERYTHING!!!! Then apply an acne treatment like 2% Salicylic Acid (I use Peter Thomas Roth 2% Salicylic+10% Glycolic Acid) so it can go Striaght into your pores, THEN SEAL IT UP W A CLAY MASK such as Fresh's. You can sleep in that overnight or just use a treatment but I hv had SERIOUSLY AWESOME RESULTS W THIS! Just get ready for the rotten egg sulfur smell:)

Its a wonderful product, definitely definitely give it a try. It does an awesome job of pulling out impurities, closing up pores (at least it appears, I've heard changing pore size isn't possible), but this stuff is incredible! Also, I believe there is a product designed specifically for the T-Zone, I'd give that a try and would be shocked if you didn't see a great improvement!

I would recommend using this after exfoliating your face and then leaving it on for a while at night, or all night. I wouldnt say it gets rid of the blackheads, but it definetly shrinks your pores and helps minimize your blackheads if you use it regularly. I would use it like 2 or 3 times a week, but no more than every other day. A little goes a long way and if you are using it regularly than I would spread it on thin, but you can use it thicker for those bad days. I also like to use the Murad T-zone pore refining gel after I wash this product off to help keep your pores tight. Another thing I would recommend is the Dr. Brandt Pores no more vacuum cleaner, which does help to clean out blackheads.

I am not an African American, but I also have the t-zone issue and tiny blackheads on the nose. I have noticed a slight decrease in blackheads on my nose, but I haven't noticed that much of a change in the amount of oil I produce. This does make you feel nice and tight and clean after usage and is especially amazing on breakouts. Clears them up amazingly fast.

It helps, a lot. I have lots of blackheads on my nose, and using this a few times a week makes them a lot less noticeable. And it loosens them up so you can extract them more easily if you want. I think this mask will work for you but just try it first, as a test, in a small area and or only use it as a spot treatment. I personally can use this overnight, it gets to work very intensely that way, but I'd not recommend that to you. ALWAYS keep this away from the eye area!! Remember sulphur smells... so keep that in mind. You don't have to use much, it spreads out really well and smoothly. Stick to using it in your most oily, blackhead, breakout, large pore areas so it won't dry out your skin like along your jaw, etc. I do sometimes, even with my grease-face/combination skin, feel that I need an acne treatment mask but that this is a bit too much so at those times I alternate with the Fresh brand Umbrian Clay Mask in the white tube. Goodluck :) (and don't forget sunblock!!)

No, this is to dry, shrink, reduce zits, pores, blackheads, oiliness, etc.
To refine and retexturize try the different exfoliants in their different forms, cleansers, treatments. You can also try many brightening serums if the scars are dark. Pet Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel is a great all around exfoliater, smoother, and brightener. I also really love Murad's Pomegranat Mask, sometimes I leave it on overnight. It's so gentle but so effective on spots left by breakouts! Goodluck :)

No, I don't think it's for that. It could possibly cause dryness and then more redness if you don't need this sort of treatment.
If you want to treat acne/oil still though, maybe try the Fresh Umbrian Clay Mask, it is more gentle. I'd not put sulphur on redness not caused by acne. Fresh's mask has no sulphur and balances pH.

I have stubborn blackheads on the tip of my nose. I was wondering if it is safe to leave it on overnight over a large area (well, not that my nose is large, but it's a larger area than if I was spot treating) or if that would cause dryness and thus lead to more problems.

Yes, I use this overnight. I agree to keep it only in your most oily spots. Just using on your nose should be fine. VERY IMPORTANT to keep it away from eyes, though! Rinse ASAP when you wake up to avoid any of the dried mask's flakes that can possibly travel to or around your eyes. You don't want a bad reaction in your eyes right when your skin is looking good! :) I found that when I leave this on overnight it REALLY adheres to my blackheads and as you rinse you can sort of do a gentle exfoliation/removal of the ones that were really pulled up & out by the mask as it dried. Something like a buff-puff or exfoliation scrub very gently rubbed on your facial skin will get your face looking alive, and healthily glowing that morning!
