Question
Best facial moisturizer for dry skin prone to clogged pores
I have very dry skin and live in a dry climate. I only use organic products on my face - both cleansers and moisturizers. I have chronic clogged pores in my t-zone, chin and under my eyes. I use an exfoliate, but it doesn't seem to help and my skin is still dry. It is an annoying problem at 25!

Have you tried the Clarisonic Mia? I have very dry sensitive skin, so I use the delicate brush about 3x a week and my clogged pores have improved. This cream doesn't seem to clog them.

I have similar problems with my T-zone prone to break out after a recent facial I was actually told to stay away from this product, and against the technician's request I contiued to use it with Origins friction exfoliation wash and Origins Checks and Balances frothy wash and I have noticed a improvement, don't get me wrong I don't occasionally break out but with the washes I use on my face I needed something more than the typical drug store moisturizers that I felt did nothing. I like the product and I am happy with the results. PLus this moisturizer feels wonderful on.

If you think that you have been using a *natural product* you're wrong. I love this cream and it works for me but its not natural. It doesnt have parabens and a few dyes but aside from that, its a chemical cream. It doesnt even have Sephora's natural seal and it is very very easy to get that seal ( dont trust it). So long as you dont have a handful of Sephora no-no ingredients, they award you that seal. I recommend Weleda skin care to you.

use natural (organic) aloe vera gel or natural rose water or honey or milk + lemon or all together. They nourish without damage. Btw, open pores always get clogged in heat and dust, that is why use a herbal fruit mask (preferably homemade) during weekends. You can mix a pinch of olive oil, and lemon in the mask.

If you use L'Occitane Ultra Face Creme and Sephora's Clarisonic, your skin will even out and your pores will not clog. I use both everyday and have never had such great skin.

i use theL'occitane ultra rich face cream every night and i have very sensitive, very dry acne prone skin. it has never broken me out and it doesnt leave my face burning or itchy like most face creams do. my skin also tends to be a bit oily during the summer when i wear foundation and ive found that this actually makes my skin less oily. i would definately reccomend this. . .

I like this one for my dry skin. It gives enough moisture without being oily and it is really gentle. I can only use organic products or my skin freaks out and this one has made it much softer and smoother without causing break outs or other irritation.

In regards to your clogged pores & open pores, have you tried proactive? It may work for you.
This moisturizer should definately help your dry skin problem. Just be sure to use a little bit, not too much. It wont clog your pores. I too have some open pores. This product may cost a bit more than others, but the first time I bought it was in the mid-summer and I havent had to re-purchase it until now.. so it lasts a very long time. I have some rosacea on my skin (my skin loves to be pinkish/red for some reason!) and this moisturizer helps with that problem.
