Questions & Answers for Korres Yoghurt Cooling Gel

Question
Good for sensitive skin?

answer 1
My skin is very sensitive and as my pores are very small, my skin often has trouble absorbing creams/gels, resulting in a gross, greasy feeling. I have tried several Korres products (body lotions, facial masks, face cream and shower gel in addition to the Yoghurt Cooling gel) and have become a huge fan of the brand. I would recommend this gel for anyone with sensitive skin. (I have medium-fair skin with freckles, fair eyes and hair).

I have very sensitive skin, and my skin usually reacts easily to products that contain anything bad like oil, fragrance, and synthetic dyes. But this worked great without irritation. If some ingredients concern you, please consult a doctor or a dermatologist just to be safe.

"I think this product is great for sensitive skin as long as you know what makes your skin sensitive." My husband had a severe sun burn... You can't get anymore sensitive then that. It didn't burn him nor did it cause him to react to the product. Worse comes to worse, sample it first if you're unsure.

I would say yes, as it is formulated to be calming and soothing. My skin is oily and acne prone, but also tends to get red, dry and itchy when I use harsh products (like alot of acne products are) , but this has never given my skin any trouble. If you have any doubts about it, the yoghurt cooling gel is available in several of the sampler kits Korres offers, you can try it out while sampling other great products of theirs :) If you are located by a store, you could also ask for a sample to take home.

Sensitivity can vary from person to person, but if you are not sensitive to the ingredients in this item it would be fine for you to use.

This item is helpful in reducing redness especially redness due to sun damage/ sunburn and has a cooling, soothing action.

This product is meant to be for after sun, but during the summer months, I have been using it on all parts of my body that have been exposed to the sun. The gel is very light and I find that a small amount goes a long way. Also, the gel gives the skin a "drink of water" and quenches it in a way that makes your tan look very healthy. The gels also prevents that "dry" look that is sometimes associated with a suntan, especially on those of us that are 30 years or older ;)

I don't think there would be any harm in using this on a daily basis, but personally, I save it exclusively for after I have been out in the sun. It works great for that purpose. I think another product would probably be better suited for an everyday lotion if you were trying to moisturize your skin or something along those lines.

I call it the miracle anti-peel gel :) I have issues with aloe, and my sister in law who is a seasoned tanner borrowed some when she was visiting. She keeps calling saying I've spoiled her! I am naturally very fair skinned, but this has carried me through my first serious year of tanning for a vacation with class and no itching/peeling/dryness that usually accompanies my life in the sun.

I have found that it extends my tan when I have not burned. The one time I did sunburn and used it, it turned me from being burned to tan, which I loved! I would really recommend this product to anyone, aside from the effect it has on tans its just a really great product. Sometimes I just really want to use it, so I swap it out with my regular moisturizer.

Any product that helps keep skin moisturized will help prolong a tan. I am incredibly fair, so I don't tan in the sun or with a bed. Even the self tanners can leave me too dark, so I mix them with this to get a shade that actually is believable with my skin tone.

Products that don't contain parabens (preservative), do expire quicker. Just know that once you pruchase a product if it expires you have a few months to use it. Just check for changes in color and smell.

Natural and organic products generally expire a lot earlier than most because they don't have the chemicals and preservatives. It might still be okay to use, but if the products have begun to break down you might have a reaction. Better to exchange for a new one than risk it.

Question
SPF? Searched new Sephora site to find natural sunscreen; this is the only affordable product listed...
...but it doesn't appear to have SPF, does it? Looks like it might be time to shop for natural sunscreen elsewhere. :/ (Anyone else think New Sephora is trying a little hard to be young & modern? The problem with that, as I'd hope most women know, is you end up looking tacky, desperate, and overly complicated...)

This is great for soothing skin after sun-exposure, but you're right, it is not meant as a sun-screen and that's why no SPF is listed. I'm not sure what you mean by 'natural sun-screen' ---sun-screens generally work by containing one of several substances that either block UVA light--like zinc oxide--or one of the newer substances.

This product does not have SPF in it because it is for use after sun exposure. If you are interested in a natural SPF, then may I suggest Korres' sunscreens. They have one for the face and one of the body. I've used both and they are very effective. Korres makes excellent natural products. I've been using their products for over 10 years.

this product is better used, I have found, to be an after-sun or after-ski treatment. I have tried many products like aveeno spf 55 (which works well) and TIGI beach bronze spf 20 (ok, makes me look a little fake n bake...since I'm so pale). I was a little disappointed in the selection of sunscreens on sephora but I was glad that I came across this product. It works WONDERS on sunburn, windburn, and actual burns. It also has a very light but pleasant smell.

I don't know what search criteria you tried, but this product is not intended to be a sunscreen. Nowhere in the name or the description does it suggest that it is. Criticizing it for it not having SPF or being ineffective as a sunblock is kind of like criticizing hand lotion for not being lip balm.

Hi,

I think it would be great. One of my teens used it after a too strong skin treatment, and it almost immediately gave relief and took away the red irritated skin tone. I think this is so soothing to use. You should be happy with it.

Hope this helps.

I have combination, verging on dry skin, and for me it it does break my face out. I love it as a body moisturizer, though. I've used it on my forehead when I've gotten too much sun, and it still irritated my skin, so it may work fine, as it says for body and face, but I'd be aware that it can break you out when used on your face.
