Questions & Answers for Clarins Super Restorative Total Eye Concentrate

Question
"Concentrate" doesn't tell me anything
Is this a serum, moisturizer or what? Do I need to use a moisturizer with it? Or is it used alone?

Concentrate usually means it has both a serum and moisturizer "concentrated" into one formula. In the case of Clarin's Eye Concentrate, it is a moisturizer. You do NOT need anything else. Hope this helps :)

It's a concentrate in that you use a very small amount. Light lotion consistency. NO OTHER moisturizer is needed in the eye area. Think you'll be pleased! :>)

This product has the consistency of a thicker lotion. It is described as a serum. But, I found it to be hydrating. At least, it was hydrating enough for the needs of my husband and myself. However, if you feel after trying it that you need some additional hydration I would say "go for it". I was already using a skin regimen when I incorporated this product. I am not someone who ties herself to a particular brand. Instead, I base my skin care regimen on incorporating products that contain the top anti-aging ingredients that give me the results I'm looking for. The Clarins concentrate does not contain anything that would conflict ingredients wise with another eye cream should you add one for additional hydration. I've had great results with this particular eye product. I hope that I was able to answer your question. And, that you find a product that works for you. Good luck!

it is not a serum - it is a light-weight moisturizing cream. it just takes a little bit and immediately goes into the skin (not greasy at all) - I am 52 with fair/normal skin and this relieves all of my eye-area concerns (bit of crows feet/puffiness) - it does NOT sting at all (as a lot of other 'active' eyecreams have done to me - for example - Perricone was effective, but too harsh). I've used a LOT of different brands of eye creams. This is the only one I have repeat-purchased (4th. time buying this). I think this is called concentrate because it goes into the skin so thoroughly and you don't need much at all (just a polka-dot on your finger does both eyes). Hope this helps ! I love it !

It's a cream in a pump-type bottle. I don't use a moisturizer with it. For me it moisturizes my the area enough. I use it from temple to temple - literally my entire eye area.

Scientifically speaking, skin becomes "mature" at the age of 25, according to the dermatology community. Any product that contains Caffeine, such as Clinique's All About Eyes Roller Ball Concentrate or their Anti-Gravity Eye Cream, which I have witnessed someone's large puffy under eye deflate within 15 minutes of applying it. Its safe for your age ( I used it from the time I was 24-32). It works wonders! I hope this helps!

I use this product now that I'm in my 50's... but when i was your age I LOVED Clarins Eye GEL (not the cream.. the gel ) - it's a lightweight blue gel in a tube and I swear that it was the BEST de-puffing agent I've ever used !! I still keep a tube of it around to use occasionally. Since I'm older now, I need a bit more moisturizing.. but if you're looking to de-puff.. try the Clarins Eye Gel. Hope this helps !

this is the best eye product that clarins makes! i love it! i am 24 and i use it. it does it all: reduces puffiness, dark circles, firms lines and wrinkles, and moisturizes. apply it over your whole eye mask (temple to temple including between the brows) for best results. but yes, this is great for puffiness.

While there is certainly nothing in this product that would hurt you I would hate for you to spend this amount if it's not really needed. Clarin's also has an "Extra Firming" line that is a bit less expensive. I think the eye product is around $60.00. Just make sure you grab the eye contour in the cream formulation rather than the serum. I think the eye contour cream is just a little bit better. Also, many times those extra fine lines (especially at your age) are really because of a lack of hydration. So, make sure you are using an eye cream that contains enough moisture for your particular needs. Additionally, you might consider adding a serum to your routine instead. What you are looking for is a moisture binding and increasing treatment serum. Look for something that contains a good amount of hyalauronic acid (not sure of that spelling). A Sephora beauty associate should be able to help you find one that's good. Look for one that you can use all over your face - including the eye area. Put this on after cleansing and toning and before any moisturizers. Give the serum a few minutes to penetrate (and use just a little) before your eye and face cream. That may really just do the trick for you. Hope this info helps and good luck!

I would say that this product would help relieve your under-eye wrinkles. I am 52, fair with normal skin - a few wrinkles - and this definitely worked for me almost immediately. It feels good, goes into the skin quickly, can even be applied a second time after you finish your makeup to add a bit of extra moisture to the under eye area and help smooth out wrinkles even more. I love it because it de-puffs quickly and when I apply it at night I don't have puffy eyes in the morning (some eye creams clog your skin up and make you retain fluid). I have used a lot of eye creams - some a lot more expensive - and this is the best I've used and the only one I continue to buy over and over - I'm on my 4th bottle ! I apply day and night - a bottle lasts me about 3 months or more. hope this helps !

I noticed an improvement within a week's time - the skin around my eyes seems plumper and while it doesn't erase wrinkles (nothing in a bottle does :-), it definitely improved my skin texture without being too heavy. I've used other expensive products and this is, by far, the best I've found. Hope that's helpful!

Any product with Caffeine will eliminate the bags. Try Clinique's All About Eyes Roller Ball Concentrate for the bags and their Anti Gravity Eye Creme on top. The Roller Ball won't give enough moisture - its more of a puff solution only. Both have caffeine and I have seen them both do MIRACLE work on the puffiest of eyes within 15 minutes of application. Hope this helps you! :)

I got great results with this product. It reduced my puffiness and helped with dark circles. In fact, this product worked while others failed miserably. I'd say give it a try. Everyone is different but Sephora has a great return policy. Also, give it some time to work. We didn't get dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines over night. So, we shouldn't expect a product to take them away immediately. Although, wouldn't that be great !! Hope this is helpful and good luck!

I am 52, fair with normal skin. This product really helped my 'above eye' puffiness... I would think it would help under the eye as well. You might also try the Clarins eye GEL - I used to use that one exclusively to de-puff until I decided I needed a bit more moisturizing at my age. sephora is great about making up samples. I'd ask them for a week's worth (it only takes a tiny bit to cover both eye areas) - you should know by then if it is effective for you. I noticed a huge difference in 2 or 3 days ! I'm now on my 4th. bottle because it works so well for me. hope this helps !

Clarin's is exceptional for those with sensitive skin. They use a combination of botanicals and the latest anti-aging science. So, you are getting the best of both worlds. This is a really good eye product. Both my husband and myself got great results. Also, if you have severe dryness just add your favorite eye cream on top. There is nothing that this contains that should create a problem. Just give the Clarin's concentrate a few minutes to sink in before tapping on your favorite eye cream.

I would say this would work on dry skin because I am 52 and very fair with normal skin.. but do experience dryness in winter. This is the best eye cream I've ever used ! You might like to use it along with Clarins' 'Double Serum' or 'orchid oil' (I use the double serum in spring/summer and the orchid oil in winter when I'm dryer - very soothing to the face/neck). Hope this helps !! You would probably also love their cream cleanser... I've been SO happy with all my Clarins purchases and have used them for years.

I suffer from dry skin as well and found that this is one of the few products I've tried that not only moisturized well and absorbed quickly, but didn't irritate the skin around my eyes nor did it make them water. Moreover, I have noticed an improvement within a week or two - the skin around my eyes looks plumper. It's pricey, but well worth it - a little goes a long way. I use it in conjuction with strivectin eye concentrate and I'm very pleased with the result...hope this is helpful!

I don't think it would be overkill to use this product at your age.. it really depends on the condition of your skin and what you're trying to address. I'm 52, fair with normal skin. I love this product - it moisturized without being greasy, really goes into the skin and takes care of all puffiness. Sephora is great about making up samples.. see if you can get a week's worth to try out - you'll know by a week using it night and day. it only takes a tiny bit to cover both eye areas up to and across the brow. Hope this helps !
