I have wacky skin, that's both really oily and flaky-dry at the same time (so frustrating!) I have never experienced any problems with drying; in fact this leaves my face very comfortable after I use it. I wouldn't recommend not using a moisturizer, but it doesn't dry out my skin like so many other cleansers do.

I would say it doesn't dry your skin as long as you use your moisturizer afterwards, which is how I've tried it so far. I have dry/combination/sensitive skin and it worked well, but I only use it 1-2 a week the most, always with a moisturizer.

Yes! This product is for ANY skin type. Sensitive or not, and combination, oily or dry. Works especially wonders for combination skin. If you have dry skin, I recommend a non-oily moisturizing lotion as this does have mini exfoliating beads.

I find it does remove makeup fairly well, I tend to use a makeup wipe before I use this then a toner afterwards and I feel like my face is fully cleansed. I wouldn't call it a miracle all in one product but its awesome none the less, you can go to a Clarins counter and they will give you a nice sized sample of any product you'd like to try.

Due to the fact that it has tiny scrubbing particles-I would not remove eye make-up with it. I use it around my eyes very gently but not to remove eyemakeup. There many good eye makeup removers available.

Question
When is the best time to use the cleanser and where?
I know obviously at night - but every night I use my facial cleanser with my Clarisonic. Should I use it right after I wash my face (I was my face in the shower so the steam will open up pores). Also where are the best places to apply it? I have a very oil t-zone and lots of blackheads on my nose :(

I personally think this can be replaced with your regular cleanser. Depending on your specific skin-type it may not be a good idea to use many products at one time as it may dehydrate your skin which could result in your oiliness. I would use this with your Clarisonic morning and night for several days to see how it works for you. I use this with a pore-cleaning tool as well and have great results! I had extreme oil in my T-Zone which has diminished since using this product day and night.
An added tip is to use a night-time moisturizer to take away dehydration in the skin which can be leading to the oily T-Zone! I have had great results! Best of luck!

I'm no expert but I tend to use this when I'm showering just because it's convenient and it has really been working well for me. I also have an oily T-zone so when I apply it and rub it in (I use my hands, no fancy tech for me haha) I focus on that area most, but I don't leave out the rest of my face.

Morning or night is good for using Clarins exfoliating cleanser. A teeny bit applied to your face, faollowed with pleny of water will create a nice foamy mix. Rinse, rinse, rinse to be sure and remove all cleanser. Follow with good moisturizer--even if you have oily skin.

I wouldn't use this 2x daily. Use it at night, with a moisturizier. Skin absorbes and heals at night.

If it's not too dry for the rest of your face, and you don't rub your face to hard, I say it's fine. I stopped using it daily when it became too much for my cheeks area to handle during winter time. I miss how smooth my skin was when I used this daily. Just remember this is not medicated so if you have acne, it's not going to heal it or anything.

The box says it's dermatologist tested and perfect for all skin types, even the most sensitive. You could always return it. It seemed really gentle to me and I have very sensitive skin. If I try something my skin doesn't like, I'll get a rash immediately.

I have most sensitive skin and suffer breakouts everytime I try new products. It seems that my skin needs some time to adjust to a new product. However, clarins' one step cleanser didn't cause any breakout and it works fine for the last two years. If your skin is prone to acne, just don't rub the cleanser too harshly onto your skin. It is already very gentle, but I sometimes found my breakout gets worse when I rub the exfoliating cleanser with normal intensity. So, just be gentle...Other than that, this is the best cleanser ever for the most sensitive skin.

Since the Clarisonic is for use with non-abrasive cleansers, I would not recommend using Clarins exfoliating cleanser with it. The Clarins cleanser contains little exfoliating microbeads, which may be too much physical agitation to your skin in addition to the scrubbing head of the Clarisonic.

I obtained the following info from Clarisonic website. This product is not abrasive, so I would feel confident in using it.

http://www.clarisonic.com/us/clarisonic/frequent-questions.php

"What type of cleanser should I use? Clarisonic cleansers are optimized for use with sonic technology, but you can use any non–abrasive cleanser. Visit the cleanser product page for details on Clarisonic cleansers."

no no no! you're NOT supposed to use a clarisonic brush with cleansers that have scrubbies in it. especially when you have acne prone skin it's gonna irritate your skin like crazy and break you out even more. use clarisonic with cream, gel or foamy face wash. anything but exfoliators. hope this helps (:

Question
Ingredients
Can someone please list the ingredients. I have milia and am looking for a good at home exfoliant to use in between my facials. Someone asked if it's oil-free, and the person just stated it's ok for acne-prone skin. I need to know if it actually is oil-free. If it does contain oils, does anyone know of a good oil-free exfoliant?

I just purchased this cleanser today (Jan 3/2015) and they seem to have changed the ingredient list from whats listed online here. I do live in Canada if that matters - and I will just upload a picture to any of those interested in the current ingredient list. Since it would take me too long to type it out.

But from what I can tell..they seem to have removed the parabens from their ingredients and modified a few other ingredients.

I have light/medium skin, am 29, and still get breakouts on my chin. I use this exfoliator every night so my creams sink in better. It does not irritate my skin at all.

Try it out on yourself every other night, or every third night, and see how it goes for you.

You may be able to use it every day, or every other day.

I believe the ingredients have changed since I have bought it recently (on Jan 3/2015) and noticed that there are no parabens listed in the ingredients list. I do live in Canada btw. It does have Sodium Laureth Sulfate in it though.

I will try to upload an image of the ingredients from the package as it would take too long to type in.

Looking on the ingredients list one is sodium laureth sulfate. IDK what that is or if it harmful. I can tell you to says it's dermatologist tested and 'perfect for all skin types, even the most sensitive' but I don't know how much that helps you. The sales people at Sephora are knowledgeable, if you go the the store, they can probably help you.
