Dry Recovery™ Hydrating Shampoo

Dry Recovery™ Hydrating Shampoo

What it is:A moisturizing shampoo formulated for dehydrated hair. What it does: Instead of stripping away natural oils like strong action shampoos can do, this gentle coconut-derived cleanser actually preserves them. Ojon oil, nature's golden elixir, helps repair damage in the shower while our Blue Agave Nectar, Macadamia Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Babassu Oil complex helps restore moisture and smooth roughed-up cuticles to keep hydration sealed in. Straw-like strands become soft and smooth as silk. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes- Phthalates- TriclosanWhat else you need to know:In healthy hydrated hair, the scales of the cuticle lie flat like the shingles on a roof. But when these scales become damaged, they lift and separate and no longer play their protective role. Water evaporates, cuticles become more brittle, more moisture is lost, and hair becomes drier. This simple daily ritual breaks this vicious cycle.Research results:Used in combination, Dry Recovery(TM) Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner improved the condition of dry, damaged hair by 52%.* 82% said their hair felt smoother.** 84% agreed their hair was soft.** 78% claimed their hair felt nourished***In a clinical, dry combing study, using Dry Recovery Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner**In a consumer study, panelists used Dry Recovery Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner

Questions & Answers for Ojon Dry Recovery™ Hydrating Shampoo

Question
How much does it lather?
I've been using this for a few years now and its the only thing I will use, but I was wondering what its like for everyone else. I hardly get a lather at all, it cleans it without a lather but is this normal? Its not the big soapy result I get from other shampoos, but maybe its because I use so much less.

It lathers like crazy for me. The Tawaka line didn't produce a lot of lather so it was strange using this one.

It dosen't lather much for me either. I think it might be because of the oils that are used in it.

answer 3
Ojon probably does not use Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate as foaming/surfactant agents since it is a fairly natural company; therefore, this shampoo does not lather as much as others. Some argue that SLS can be irritating to the skin. However, I have found that it cleans just as well as those products which do use SLS.

I find that it lathers up nicely, I don't use as much as I would with other shampoos, but don't find an issue with lather. Though it doesn't lather as much as, say, J&J baby shampoo. The Ojon shampoo does make my hair the best it ever has been.

answer 5
No, you should be getting a lather. Try the center of your head (where most of your hair is) with just a circular motion. I had that same problem the first time I used it.

Let me know if that works!

It does not lather much for me either but I still feel that it cleans completely. I've been using it for almost two years and my hair stylist thinks my hair is in great shape. I also use the Ojon Restorative Hair treatment about once a month.

Question
Does this really work for dry hair?
I have staticy hair since it's the winter season and it's even more dry since I'm on accutane, and I use my ghd flat iron almost every day. I was wondering if this would keep my hair moisturized throughout the day?

Question
UV Protection?
I am in the ocean at least a few times a week, surfing and swimming. The UV and salt give a lot of damage to my hair. I noticed the "protect and shine" had UV protection. Debating between the 'ultra hydrating' shampoo and the 'protect and shine', which product would provide the maximum benefits against UV and sea salt?

The UV protection will wash away. I dampen my hair and apply some Ojon conditioner and leave it in. It works really well.

The sulfate used in the shampoo is not as harsh as SLS or SLES. I can't use those in my hair products because it really irritates my scalp. I didn't notice a problem when I was using these products and my hair felt hydrated. The results vary from person to person though.

Don't buy it. I find it leaves hair feeling dry and needing moisture. It does not react well with my hair type which is thick and chemically treated.

answer 2
If you hair is fine and dry, this may work for you. I have thick and dry and I felt it was not able to handle my hair but I felt that the product is better suited to someone with less volume than me. It was creamy and was softening for a shampoo but I had to use quite a bit of it per wash to really get a nice lather to cover my entire head. Considering the price, I would be in the poorhouse if every shower required half a bottle of product.

Yes, I have colored treated hair and was just told when I called to check on ingredients to not use it for 5 days prior and 5 days post treatment which I followed those directions and everything has been great!

My hair has NEVER looked, felt or been in better condition than it is after using this shampoo and conditioner for the past month!

I tried the Tawaka first and it did NOTHING for me besides cause a terrible rash because I am highly allergic to Cocao (chocolate) and it (Tawaka) obviously has that in it! Would have been nice to have the ingredients prior to purchasing it and using it and then thinking hmmm wonder what is going on here and after many calls and some research I finally found out the ingredients!

This shampoo is fantastic though! It has given my hair new life and I cannot imagine not having it now!
