How long does it last?
I currently use MAC Studio Fix powder. I wear it everyday and it lasts me a good 8-9 months. With everyday application, how long can this container last?

I think the length of time it lasts you would be very comparable to what you are using. I purchased mine approximately 7 months ago, and I still have about 1/5 of the container full of powder. I switched from the Studio Fix powder to this because something in Studio Fix was making me break out. You will love Supernatural. It is light, but it covers well. Also, you will see an understated glow that the Studio Fix does not give you.

well for me, this stuff lasts a good 5-6 months. i've only been using this stuff for a yr. and a half and i've only had to buy it twice (but that's because sometimes i don't use it everyday). the supernatural powder brush works awesome with this stuff too. it's very soft and uses less makeup

I used to use Bare Escentuals that lasted forever. I've been using this foundation everyday for about 7 months and I'm still not done with it. I switched from Bare Minerals and found the coverage with this foundation is flawless and covers the redness I have without drying me out.

Hi! I love Studio Fix by MAC and use it as well. But I do incoporate this one into the mix as well. In terms of how long it will last, I really believe a good six months. It depends on how much you layer it though and how often you use it. I think the coverage is definitely similar to studio fix and will look flawless. Try it!

I also have a Mac Studio Fix that I keep in my purse. Although, I don't really use it too much anymore b/c this stuff lasts just as long. I think I've had mine since December or so of last year. I don't think you're supposed to keep makeup this long but it hasn't done any harm!

This is sheerer than Mac Studio Fix. To get similar coverage, either use it with a different applicator or reverse the puff (powder comes from behind the puff as opposed to you applying the product to the puff). I have used mine all summer and still have some, so my guess would be 3-6 months with light coverage.

I get about 3 months out of a jar. Be careful because it's easy to use too much, but with a short amount of practice time, you'll have down pat! You might want to replace the puff after about 2 months - but then depending on how you use it, it may last until the jar is gone.

It depends on how much coverage you need. I apply more product in the winter when I don't have a tan. That said, I find that one container lasts me a good 6 months. I usually have two shades: my face color and a bronzer color. The bronzer color last me even longer because I don't need very much. Now, I might not actually use this product a couple days out of the week...the days I use The Present. Still, I find that it's a good value compared to liquid make-up. Mineral is the only way to go. Hope this helps.

It works best if used with other Philosophy products, I tend to have a combination of skin type that's oilly and prone to breakouts, I use On a Clear Day, protection cream thats a primer, and also helps keep any bad stuff out and the good things in for my skin. I use the light colored sand makeup because it doesn't have any pink undertones. if you don't try the protection cream, you could also use the other primer from Philosophy to stop the shine from oilly skin type, but I haven't used that one.

Hi! I am uploading a photo of myself (this is about as fair as I get, but I try to never get much darker), and I wear the beige color. My skin is fairly light, as you can see, and I have very dark hair and eyes, but I do get a tiny bit of summer color. The beige, however, is a dead on match for me (I thought it would be too dark, but the girl at the counter insisted and was right!). My skin is pretty normal (I live in the desert so it tends to be dry, but sometimes, especially in the summer, it feels a bit oily). However, I don't think the supernatural ever makes me look greasy, though, it just lets enough of my "true" self come through and has a nice glow to it. I'd say it's pretty awesome for combination skin.

You really have to go to the store to try the colors. My sephora didn't have all the choices, so I went to Nordstrom and they gave me samples to take home and try (GO NORDIES!). This is probably the same store for you, right? At Florida Mall? Still I ultimately bought at Sephora. I have really oily skin and it works great for me. My daughter is not so oily, more combination, and she loves it. She is very fair and uses the Porcelain color. She uses it everyday and has zero problems. I think you'll like it.

I used to use fairly light in bare minerals and I switched to this philosophy foundation 7 months ago. I am redheaded with freckles and some redness and I use the natural. It has better coverage in my opinion, without hiding all my freckles and making me look one-tone like bare minerals would. I get told all the time my skin is glowing.

I use the Supernatural and have combo skin...I absolutely adore it. It doesn't make the dryer sections look flaky, and it mattifies the oilier sections. I use a big MAC powder brush to apply, however. I wish i could give you a color suggestion...I use natural, and I'm a redhead...but I will say that the first time that I bought this product, I went by the little color swatches on the screen, and I picked the right one.

I think the coverage is really good and you will find it may cover better than the BE. I too have combination skin and I have had no problems with this. I would say this might be a nice product to swtich on and off. I think it's great if you can have like two or three foundation and switch off. Not too mention depending on the situation or occasion, you may want something to give you a more flawless glowing look and this will do that for you. In terms of color, I think you would do well this the porcelain or natural. It depends if you have more yellow or pink to your skin. I would test it out in the store first. I highly recommend this though!

i have combination skin and tried supernatural but didn't like it. it doesn't give me enough coverage as bareMinerals and makes my skin look shiny a couple hours later. my skin is already oily so i don't need to use a product that enhances that. but philosophy also has a primer for oily skin that should be good to use as a base. it's call "never let them see you shine" or something like that.

I also used fairly light when I wore bare escentuals and I can wear either natural or beige in the supernatural. natural is a tiny bit lighter and has more of a neutral base, whereas beige is slightly darker and has a rosy base. But the ease of the puff applicator and the way it feels on the skin makes it a million times better than b.e. also great on combination skin.

I have combination skin. I recommend making sure you are using a skin care system that works well (I was really pleased with the makeup optional kit for congested skin by Philosophy, and have alternated with the Lancome Primeordiale skin care). I recommend a makeup primer underneath.

I know that the philosophy web site gives a description of the colors and which skin tones it works best with. I went with beige, and it looks like it would be too dark, but when I blend it in, it is the perfect shade for me (blend as in brush into the skin).

I started out with Bare Escentuals and still use some of their products. They work well with the Philosophy make-up products also. I use either Fairly Light or Medium Bare Escentuals. With Philosophy, I prefer Natural because of the neutral undertones. I also use Bronze like I would have used BE Warmth. I find it is much quicker and easier to use the Philosophy Bronze. If you are still in doubt, log onto philosphy.com to see all of their colors and descriptions. Note: the stores don't usually carry all of the colors...just the most popular ones.

I also wear fairly light, but I can also wear light in Bare Escentuals. When I first tried out this foundation, I bought Natural, but found that it was a touch too light for me, so I paired it with a bronzer to match. Then I found out that their next darker shade is Sand and that works well for me. I think you should pick between Natural and Sand. I also have combination skin- oily t-zone, sometimes dry cheeks- and have found that this foundation works well for me. I hope this helps!

I like this product for combination skin - it keeps everything pretty much under control, moderating my usual shiney into something more like glowy. The way that I apply it is quick and easy! I dab/puff it around different sections of my face. For example, both cheeks, under my cheeks, forehead and a little bit on the chin and nose. After that, I take a big powder brush and blend everything around. Going around my whole face in circular motions. If I miss a spot or need more coverage then I'll repeat this on those sections. Also, another way.... is to take the top off and dab my brush in the container. Then I shake off the extra powder and then apply it to my face. The same thing that you would do with mineral makeup/foundation. The bad part about doing it this way is that you waste some of the product. since there isn't that much and it's expensive I try not to waste any . These are the ways that work for me. I've tried applying it as it is with the sponge but it looks cakey so I didn't really like that. You can still do it that way but afterwards you should still use a big brush and blend everything. I use my finger for the inner corners of my eyes and the corner of my nose to smooth it.

Yes, the powder goes through the sponge and comes out when you puff it against your face.

I hope this helps and makes sense. good luck! :)

I had the same problem, but once I figured out how to use it, this makeup became the simplest to use ever. I pat the sponge gently against my skin until I see a bit of the powder coming out. Then, I swirl it around my face. I wash my sponge every few weeks with a solution made of a little bit of Purity with water. Then, I replace the sponge every few months.

The powder will filter through the sponge. With a new container, I usually have to dab the sponge against my face of the back of my hand for a little while to get the powder flowing. But once you get it started, you should have no problem with the flow.

If it isn't a new container and the powder stops coming out, trying patting the sponge against your face like a powder-puff to get some on your face and then use the sponge to blend it in. Or replace the sponge (Sephora sells replacements, 3 pack for under $4, I believe.)

I've hated foundations for all the reasons you ask about here. If you get a well-matched shade of this product, you'll be very pleased I think. It's finally made me a foundation wearer (and just in time too since I'm old enough to really need it). The coverage isn't heavy enough through the puff-sponge to really do the job as a cover-up for me, but i discovered that opening the container and applying a little to a blemish or under my eyes with a small brush does the trick beautifully. I LOVE this product.

This never looks cakey and orange. I use a concealer brush and dab on a bit extra on spots that need extra coverage, like redness or spider veins. Then I smooth everything once more with the applicator. My complexion is anything but flawless, but it looks pretty flawless with this product.

You can use this product by itself or with your foundation. It does not turn you orange and it does great for covering up little blemishes on your face. I really love it and would not be without it.

Yes it covers well without looking cakey. You have control over the amount and the sponge applicator helps it glide across your skin. I've never used foundation before and didn't want my face to look made up.
I just needed something to cover the rosacia/redness that I've developed as I've gotten older (I'm almost 60). It does that and then some!

It gives a very natural look and its not too heavy when you apply the powder. As for transference, not much unles you are scrubbing your face. Water-proof especially when I apply eye drops, no streaking.

I have noticed that this foundation is sweatproof/non-transferrable. I have been using it before going to physical therapy where I often sweat. I can't tell you that it is waterproof but I have given it a considerable workout.

I have found that it lasts all day. It isn't waterproof, it lets your skin breath and enhances its appearance. I often wear white or lighter colors and have never noticed any makeup transfer although I do always use a spray of Evian or just spritz plain water after applying to set.

I use mine almost every day and have just finished it about 6 months. The sponge application provides just the right amount so you get a nice, even coverage but it sure doesn't take much.

This lasts several months if not more depending on if you reapply it several times but I don't have to reapply this product often, maybe once if I am going to go out in the evening after a day at the office I might need a quick touch up, it goes on very lightly and reminds me of how my mineral products are in that they just last for a long long time. The only thing i'm not certain on durability is the sponge it comes with but I would switch to a Kabuki brush, it will last longer, get into difficult areas better and be cleaner (the sponge seems to hold/pick up the oils off your face from moisturizer) so it gets dirty kind of fast and starts to break down. I absolutely love this product though, it feels so light and good on my sking and isn't cakey but still gives great coverage, it's philosophy, what can I say, almost everything they make is magical!

I have pale skin with mild to medium rosacea. I use "natural" and it covers it pretty well, but still looks natural.

I would guess that either Porcelain or Natural would be your best bet. I'm fair skinned with decently pink/red undertones, and porcelain works perfectly for me.
