I have hormonal acne a week before my period all of the time. I've only been using this for a few weeks, and my period has came...but the acne hasn't! I hope this helps!

I just finished writing my first review ever with this product being the subject of my review! I started suffering from hormonal acne starting about 4 months back all along my jawline and under my jaw/chin. This has completely solved my breakouts that just started out of no where! I haven't suffered a single new incident since I've started on this. Give it a try! I realized no matter how effective the topical treatment, they just won't work on hormonal acne since these breakouts have to do with what's going on inside, so these seem to have done the trick somehow internally.

It is better to take any pill or vitamin after you eat because it metabolizes quicker.

You never want to take any pills on an empty stomach. When you take pills without eating somthing it often can result in a stomach ache. Eat somthing will pills even if its just a couple of crackers.

I would take these with food. Just with a regular multi vitamin its always best to take with food because it helps the vitamin to absorb better into the body.

As much as you are able, take these supplements with a meal. I feel like a person could even take two at breakfast, one at lunch, and one at dinner. I suspect that the less florescent your urine is, the more of the supplement your body is absorbing. The main thing though, is just keep taking them as consistently as possible.

Question
Has anyone tried using these supplements with only have the dose?
I was wondering if anyone knows if the supplements would still be effective if you took one pill in the morning and one in the evening instead of the double dose recommended. Thanks!

I took these as directed for the first month and noticed a big difference in the health of my skin. (Also, no more chapped lips!) After purchasing my 2nd bottle I kept taking 2 in the morning but would only take one with dinner. I have also missed a day here and there and still noticed a continued reduction in breakouts. I know these are expensive and you may be able to get away with using less, but if they work for you it could mean spending less skincare products.

I've tried it and it does work. I guess it would depend on how much your deficiency in those vitamins is, and how bad your acne is.
I had severe acne and took two vitamins in the morning (they also help with energy) and 1 at night and it worked great =)

I tried that, and it worked only half as well. When I take the full dose, two in the morning or at lunch and two at dinner, my skin cleared up. But I did start taking fish oil supplements with it, and only then did the acne go away 100%. Without the fish oil, I was still getting one to two acne spots. But that's a big improvement from severe acne.

With my experience it is better to take two pills for breakfast and two for lunch. When you take the pills closer together it works betEr. Because you are getting the full amount of vitamins. When you separate the times to far apart it's not as effective. I tried taking one in the morning and at night because I would forget sometimes. They didn't work as well as they did when I took them closer together.

I would think that they could be more effective. Since they are not time released when you take them your body only absorbed what it can at that time. When I took them i only took one a day because the body is kind of pricey and if you take two then it wouldn't of lasted me this long. Just by taking one a day I did notice results.

answer 6
I guess you could take two at one time, once a day. Your body has to get the RDA of Vit A for the product to be effective. And two tablets provide 100% of the RDA.

These are large pills, but they do not have that gross powdery texture of vitamin C. And they are smooth, so that will help. I would recommend getting a pill cutter and cutting them in half if you have a problem with swallowing large pills. Although, I have a hard time swallowing large pills and I have never had a problem with these because they are smooth and don't taste gross. Full size they are just barely smaller than a fish oil capsule. And they are totally worth it.

Before I started taking these I had acne on my face, neck, and back and now I am only getting the occasional breakout on my chin and forehead. My back and neck are completely clear and have been since week 4 of taking the supplements. I added an omega 3 to my supplement routine around week 2 and noticed an immediate improvement.

They cleared up my back acne, but not completely. I think you have to make sure to wash it with an appropriate cleanser too. When you work out and don't wash off the sweat, the pills won't be able to clear everything. I use the Clinique green acne bar when I work out, in addition to taking the pills, and that worked.

I have found these supplements helpful for the acne on my back and chest. I still get pimples there, but not as many, and they heal better, faster. Guys get tough acne, though. I'd say he should give this a shot. It took me a month before I recognized that my skin was doing better.

Question
Are the pure skin supplements darker in color than before or is there something wrong with my pills?
I've been using the Murad Pure Skin supplements for about a year now. However, when I bought my new bottle this time, the pills were much darker than usual.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed this? Are the pills different now or should I buy a new bottle?

I have noticed that they darken as you get down to the bottom of the bottle. I think its just from being exposed to air over the life of the bottle. I have never had a batch, so to speak, and take them until the bottle is empty. I am amazingly still surprised when I open a new bottle and they are a different color than I am used to seeing every time. You'd think after years, I would expect it by now!

I've used some of the ingredients in this before, and on EVERY one of their bottles is a warning against using when pregnant. While they may be in this supplement in smaller doses, I'd check with the doc just to be sure.

When breast feeding and/or pregnant, ALWAYS check with your physician for approval. Anything you take internally (food, supplements, etc.) could be passed along to the baby via breast milk.

Question
Are these supplements safe to take if you are planning on becoming pregnant?
I am currently on birth control, but in the near future plan on discontining the use of them and adding to my family. However, I am nervous to take anything new, for fear it will make my break outs worse. And I am very scared to stop taking the birth control pills, because I know I will experience horrible acne as I did with my first pregnacy. So I need to know if I try this and it works, can I continue to use during pregnacy?

This is pretty good to use before pregnancy even if you're planning on becoming pregnant, although I've used some of the ingredients separately in the past and there's been a warning on each to check with the doctor if you ARE pregnant, so I'd say check with a physicain just to be completely sure.
