Hmm, I assume this was a typo and perhaps you meant "parabens"? If it's parabens then the answer is yes, you can see the ingredient list on the product page, under "Ingredients" tab.

Question
brunette or ebony?
I understand that "Anastasia" has come up with a new duo and now i am debating on which will best fit my skin and hair color. I have black hair but my skin color is light brown, if you will. Which duo might fit me best?

I recommend Ebony. I love that it fills in my brows, complements my skin tone, and doesn't have an extremely harsh finish. Given your complexion and haircolor, I would totally recommend the Ebony-- however, you should really go to Sephora and ask an associate to apply them on your brows.

I went in and realized Ebony was the perfect match for my skin/haircolor.

I am Eurasian; have light/medium skin with yellow undertones and medium (sometimes dark) brown hair. I tried both the brunette and ebony compact & the ebony looks much more natural on me. Both compacts contain only brown colors , they just differ in the type of brown. The darker brown in the brunette compact is a bit red for my taste. Whereas, the lighest brown in the ebony compact is more of a "true" brown, like a chocolate brown. Since the dark brown in the ebony compact is too dark for my brows I use it as a eye shadow & it works great.

I have dark brown hair and fair skin, I use the Ebony color, and I can attest first hand that it is NOT black. I've tried the brunette as well but the golden undertone of it just doesn't look natural on me. Ebony has a neutral undertone which makes it perfect against my skin tone, regardless of how light it is.

I would go with a shade closest to your hair color. Or mix 2 colors for a custom shade. I would not recommend going with a color that matches your skin tone, b/c then we wouldn't be able to see your eyebrows.

Go with Medium Ash. I still have dark brown/black eyebrows (sparse), tried a darker brown or brunette, and both looked "drawn on". The Medium Ashe blends well and looks so much more natural.

I would buy the lighter shade. My hair is light brown with highlights and the Ash Blonde is perfect for me. Someone told me once that most people's brows are naturally a bit lighter than their hair. Hope this helps.

If your hair is TRULY black, you may need the Ebony. But...I'm African American and have VERY dark brown hair (that most people THINK is black) and I use the brunette. It's important not to go too dark, because it will look artificial. Try to catch it with the free samples if you can't make it to the store. They almost ALWAYS have the free sample in brunette. If I had to guess for you, I'd say get the brunette and use more of the darker color in the duo. Hope this helps!

The darker shade is intended for the outer part of the brow and lighter shades intent is to be used on the inner brow so its not so harsh.

You mix them both , if you only used the darker shade it will look to dark. by mixing them both it gives you a more natural looking eyebrow your eyebrows should be at least a shade lighter then your hair color . am fair skinned and i have black hair , i use the brunette shade and it looks natural and flawless.

The reason why most brow fillers come with two shades is so that you can mix the colors to get the closest to the color of your eyebrows. Also, some people prefer to use a lighter color on their eyebrow during the day and a darker one during the night to get a more dramatic effect.

That's a good question and I asked it too while I was buying it at the store. I need the darker shade only- the one pictured here is not what I am referring to- there is a duo that comes with 2 shades of brown- both darker than the one pictured. I really only need the darker one. Hopefully Anastasia will repackage so that 1 shade will come in the compact.

I'm very similar in skin tone and hair color! I'd say you need to take a good look at the current color of your brows. Mine are blond so I went with the golden blond Anastasia powder and it looks GREAT! If your brows are naturally blond, go with the golden blond powder. If your brows are naturally a strawberry/auburn, go with the strawberry powder.

For years I always tried to match my brow color to my hair color and it just ended up looking fake. I like that the golden blond powder fills my brows perfectly... I still look like me, not Grocho Marx.

Good luck! Hope that helps you find the perfect brow powder for you!

My coloring is the same as yours. One of the Sephora make-up artists tried this on me and it was perfect. I originally thought that I should use one of the ash shades, but once it was on, I knew that she was correct. I tend to use the darker color as the lighter shade is just a bit too light for the ends of my brows. Good luck!

It depends on your brow color. If you have true auburn hair with similar colored eyebrows, I would say get the strawburn. If you're more of a strawberry blonde with lighter or golder tones in your hair and eyebrows, go with the golden blonde. So based on what you described, I would lean towards strawburn.

Staying Power?
Can this last at least six hours? I have some really, really sparse areas in my brows - there is literally no hair there - and i need the powder to last an entire day. i don't have oily skin (i have dry skin), so will this last all day?

I put it on first thing in the morning (usually wax first, then powder) and it stays on all day. I also have fairly sparse eyebrows and this product works great - gives me a nice defined brow without looking goofy. The powder is very natural. You could always carry the powder with you througout the day - the palette is so small!

I consider myself as having ¨regular¨ eyebrows (as far as thinkness)... the powder can be pretty long lasting, but if u apply wax (or like in my case- clear mascara) it definately helps to set it in place a bit longer than w/out it. Now if ur eyebrows are really really light- i would recommend using a brow pencil (w/ light strokes) as a base and then the powder over it to make it more natural looking, and then wax or clear mascara to set.... Which is applied first?

There is no wax. Both colors are brow powder and you can mix them together or use a bit of each. I use the lighter color on my naturally fuller brow and the darker color on my naturally sparser brow.

answer 3
To me it makes more sense to apply the powder first and then the wax (or in my case- I use clear mascara) bc wax (or clear mascara) is used to ¨set¨ the powder. Also the reason I do this is bc since this brow powder color is pretty buildable- in case I apply too much- its easier to wipe the excess off w/a q-tip when its just powder, than if u had the wax as base and the powder over it (seems like it would be messier)...

The wax is supposed to be applied first and then the powder is applied on the wax. This sets it and gives you something for the wax to stick to. A sephora associate showed me the difference with one brow with the wax and then powder and the other brow with only the powder. The brow with only the powder looked pretty good but the brow with the wax and powder looked great so if you can, splurge for the wax.

answer 6
There is no wax with this, it is two shades of color one dark and one lighter. You can apply the dark first and go over with the lighter shade, or you could just use one color depending on your hair color or highlights. I just blend the two shades to get a nice soft natural looking color. Having two shades gives a more natural look than applying one shade of brown throughout because it looks more like the highlights in natural hair.

Wet an angle brush and then blot off most of the water until it is moist. Dab the brush in desired color and apply. For a bold look, you can trace your brow with the darkest color and apply the light or a mixture of the light and dark colors to gaps or sparse regions in a dabbing motion.
