Question

When I go to open the pen, and twist it, it makes a "click sound...does this mean it is using some of the product? Cant fig this out, and nobody showed me how to open and use it.....HELP!!! Dont want to waste it!!!

Yes, the clicking sound indicates that product is dispensing. I suggest to start with no more than two clicks and WAIT a couple of seconds. If nothing shows, repeat process. Once in constant use, two to three clicks will work. It's a small pen, so this product won't last forever, but if you use a separate concealer brush you have better control over the quantity you need and much better application.

yep, when it clicks it is releasing the product. But don't worry because I tend to need to "click it" multiple times before I get enough product to use under my eyes.

You have to really shake this prior to opening; if not the product doesn't dispense. I just shook it really hard and eventually it came out on the "white applicator end". You will know when the product dispenses because you can see it. "A little dab will do you"....hope this helps.

I know I had trouble at first with opening the pen. You take the top off like is shown here in picture. Then you turn the bottom and you'll hear a clicking sound. That clicking is the product being pushed up to the brush. Keep turning until you begin to see the product inside the brush.

Every time you twist it, it clicks and pushes product up into the application tip. You really only need to twist it once or twice when you go to use it but the first time you may have to twist it a few times to load the tip. Hope this helps. :)

click it several times after first opening to get it "flowing." Then it should only require 1 or 2 clicks.

For me, it didn't really last very long. I felt like I needed to re apply half way thru the day, but I have chronic darkness under my eyes. This didn't really help as much as I hoped it would.

All day. I do however dust a little translucent powder over it or in the summer some Bare Escentuals Bisque concealer (when I have nearly a tan) to avoid mascara smudge below my eye. The Skinflash is wonderfully creamy and if you don't wear mascara, you won't have a problem (duh!). Otherwise, coat it with powder.

For the product to reach the brush it's not a click - it requires a twist-you keep twisting the first time until the product appears on the brush-after that only a twist or two is needed-you see what comes out and then stop TWISTING.

You have to turn it a few times in order for the product to come out. If you have turned in more than 10 or so times, and still nothing is coming out, send it back. Turn the bottom for more than just one or two clicks.

It took my pen a while to dispense product. But be patient, click only twice each time and wait a moment, as you might otherwise suddenly dispense too much. Take off product with a separate concealer brush as it gives you better control for quantity and application.

Question
Which color to get?
I have short blonde hair and hazel eyes. I use Dior Capture Totale Foundation 030 medium beige. I'm interested in trying the Skinflash Radiance Booster pen and was unsure what color to get. I have dark circles and few lines. Does it cover pretty good? Some of the reviews I read wasn't very good as such staying on and covering up. What do you think of Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat or do you have other recommendations? Thank you. Hope to hear from you soon as I really need one now..

Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen is very sheer and buildable to achieve more coverage. The concept is to detract from imperfections rather than full coverage. Dior products are highly pigmented giving them better coverage with less product. Does not settle into lines or look cakey!

I have coloring like you, and I get candlelight. But this really isn't a concealer. If you have dark circles, I would get something heavier. This is very light and really just adds light to your face.

I have olive skin tone with red undertones, but I do have the blue-black bags under my eyes. I've tried everything--concealer, brightener, etc. and Skinflash works best. Like I said, I have darker skin, but the #3 works for me. It definitely appears lighter in the container, but you have to try it on to see how it works for your skin. Once you find the right color, I believe that you will not be disappointed.

It covers very well. I have medium skin and got candel light which was a tad light for me. I also got the double feature by Lorac which I do like under my eyes a lot (it has both a concealer and a highlighter). That seems to get into creases though and is either very matte or very sparkly. This is a perfect blend of both.

Overall, try it, if you don't like it, return it. Oh the joys of Sephora.

No. 2 seems to work for quite a wide skin tone spectrum, but try it in the store - it's worth your time as the product is great. Do apply with separate concealer brush which gives much better control.

Definitely recommend the skinflash. When I put in on top of the purple under my eyes I feel like it is not noticeable that I have puffiness and dark circles. But bring the skinflash with you because you will need to reapply every few hours.

I'm not good when it comes to knowing the right color to use for my skin tones either, but that's one of the reasons I shop at Sephora. Everytime I ask a question about color and tone, they go out of their way to help me and I always leave with a new product that looks great on me. I'm sorry I can't give you an answer myself, but if color and tone choices are difficult for you to make (like me), then I'd recommend going to a Sephora and asking one of the staff. It always works for me!

You must first determine your skin tone. If you look best in rose tones, grey, silver, gem hues, and white, you are probably cool-toned. If earthy tones like brown, golds, olive greens, and rust flatter you, you are probably warm-toned. There is a way to tell: Look at the veins in your wrist in strong daylight. If they are blue, you are most likely "cool." If they appear greenish, you are most likely "warm." If they are mixed, you are probably neutral (lucky you!). Cool tones should choose "Candlelight" or "Rose Glow." Warm tones are better off with "Candlelight" or "Sunbeam." Neutrals? Take your pick!

how does this compare to YSL

YSL has twice the product becasue you have to touch up twice as much. Dior's product also has an ingredient called Bi-Skin. If you have fine lines and wrinkles it smoothes them out by 60% within the first hour of application. So not only are you concealing, brightening and adding radiance, you are looking younger.

answer 2
I am going to try YSL simply because it comes with twice as much product for $2 more. I love this Dior concealer but lasted me less than a month and I only used it on my eyes once a day. I have no complaints regarding coverage or caking, but I only used it to cover yellowing around my eyes and am 26 with no wrinkles on my eyes; coverage and caking weren't likely anyway - however, there was no creasing, either. I would say, if you're unhappy with YSL because of the product then try this. If you are happy with YSL, keep it. You get .05oz with Dior for $38 and 1.0oz with YSL for $40. Logically speaking, YSL will last twice as long.
