My husband has acne prone skin (especially when work gets stressful). He uses the Boscia cleanser (for oily/acne) and saw amazing results.

The polish is something we BOTH use, but you only use it 2x a week. I would recommend both.

And, don't forget to use the lotion too. It's light but important for controlling his acne. Good luck!

I used to use hard scrubs and thought that was the way to really exfoliate and I have combination skin.. But I was told by a Sephora associate that the more abrasive scrubs u use if u have oily skin the more ur opening ur pores and ur skin will release oil and try to hydrate ur skin because ur trying to dry it out by basically aggravating it. So I like this Boscia scrub cuz it is gentle and my skim is just as smooth and feels fresh and nice afterwards. It is not a miracle worker but gets the job done!!

You need both actually. Polish is a twice weekly step, while cleanser is everyday. Polish will eliminate the dead skin cells which cleanser may not be complete doing so.
For combi oily skin, purifying gel cleanser is your best bet for a clarified complexion, it leaves ur skin feeling so fresh!
If you can only choose one, get the purifying gel cleanser to prevent blemishes.
The polish will be great even if you have acne/ sensitive skin because it gently refine your skin texture & refine pores.

You really want to use both a cleanser and an exfoliator. Cleansers are for daily use, whereas exfoliators should be used 2-3 times a week (depending on your preference) to wash away dead, dry skin cells. So to answer your question, buy both.

I have dry skin and I find that the scrub dries my skin out a bit, so I think it should really be great for oily skin. And it is gentle, so it shouldn't irritate acne. Hope this helps!

THe purifying cleaner w/botanical blast has done wonders for my combo/oily skin. Then I use the exfoliator in the shower (but honestly don't think that does anything diff than using the cleanser w/a washcloth). IN the winter my combo skin gets dryer, so instead of the daily oil-free moisturizer (which works REALLY well at controlling oil during the summer, plus has sunscreen), I switch to the daily mositurizer, which gives my skin a bit more moisture. Also at night I use the Intensifying moisture pack if my face is feeling tight or dry.

I have similar face conditions as you and I use both products. I use the scrub about every third wash and the cleanser in between those washes. It works great for me - hopefully it does for you too.

Hellosunshine has it right. You might want to try the Clear complexion kit. I have oily skin and that's what I started with.

I have combination skin and my oily parts are very oily. I use this twice and week, focusing more on my trouble areas and it seems to work wonders. I would definitely not use this product more than your skin will let you. More is not always better.

If you are using this scrub on face after removing makeup, use this after the purifying gel cleanser for more efficient exfoliation.
If on clean face, you may use polish straight away.

From my understanding, you are not supposed to use another cleanser or toner with this product. So, you use it and then just go on to the next step. That's what they told me in the store when I bought it. Hope this helps.

I usually use the cleansing gel first, then the polish, but sometimes I mix the two together to get more foam with the polish.

Scrubs are always first when you're doing scrub vs. wash. And remember, scrubs = rinse off with warm water. Wash = rinse off with cold water. The hot water will help really get the scrub deep down into your skin (your pores open up a bit), so you can really get into all that grime. For post-wash (i.e. rinsing off your face wash), use cold water. It shrinks up your pores a bit, and will definitely help make your face feel a little tighter and brighter. (Same thing goes for hair conditioner btw, rinse w/ cold water - I know it's not the greatest end to a warm shower, but it's worth it for the shine!)

i typically use the normal face wash from this collection in the morning and then exfoliate at night every other day

I use the cleasing gel facewash at my sink, and the exfoliater in the shower. So, I don't shower every day, so end up exfoliating few times a week, vs. the cleanser daily. I don't use them like one after the other I don't think thats how they are meant.

I like to wash my face first with a gentle face wash like Cetaphil or Philosphy Purity. Then I follow up with the polish. I do this 1-2 times a week.

I don't use the cleanser with the scrub together, daily. Instead I switch between the two. I use the scrub about every third wash, and the cleanser in between. Hope this helps.

If your skin isn't too sensitive, you could totally use this every day. Make sure you follow it up with a good moisturizer.

Although, I would keep in mind the price of the product if you already have something that's cheaper and may work just fine for your skin.

For your skin type this product is fabulous and you do not need to use a scrub brush - it does the job wonderfully - yet gentle enough to use everyday!

I would say you could use this everyday. Unless you have sensitive skin then go for it...if its too much you can always try every other day.

Scrubs generally aren't supposed to be used everyday, but this product is pretty gentle. If you're not overly scrubbing your face or really grinding the product in, I don't foresee that it would be that detrimental. But remember that if you use this product more frequently, you might not get the same glow/results as if you were only using it one-three times a week.

Yes, you could absolutely use this product every day. It will clean your skin well and eliminate all oil after washing.

i lost my normal face wash (the smoothing cleansing cream from this line) a week after i bought it (21st bday mishaps, could've been worse). so i started using this daily and i didnt have any problems with my skin getting too crazy, i just make sure to tone and moisturize a lot!

Oh yea, that would prob. be better, b/c it really isn't super exfoliating. very gentle.

I use this every other day, but it's so gentle that you could probably use it everyday without causing irritation. The granules are soft and almost squishy feeling, and leave skin feeling polished rather than stripped. I have the most sensitive skin of anyone I've ever met, but this scrub doesn't irritate my face or make it red like most scrubs, even though I use it every other day.

Personally, I think this product has enough scrub in it to exfoliate ... but that's my opinion.

It depends on the type of skin that you have but I would recommend that you use it two to three times a week. While using it on your face leave on for two minutes then wash it off, pad dry and then moisturize.

I don't know your age or skin type, but I use this product 5-6x weekly with no drying or any problems at all. You should go to your Sephora store near you to have them take a look at your skin to be sure what use would be best for you skin. Good luck.

I only recommend daily use of this product for combination and/or oily skin types. Good natural face scrub, will effectively clean your skin every day...sesitive and normal/dry skin types should only treat this as a once a week exfoliator, IMO.

It probably is, but exfoliators really don't need to be used more than twice a week in order to be effective. I would recommend something else for daily cleansing.

This product is recommended for use only twice a week. Using it every day would probably start irritating your skin eventually. You could probably get away with using it every other day, though.

i think you totally could use this every day, but i've found that 2-3 times a week (and using about the size of a nickel rather than a quarter) is definitely enough for me to maintain really soft, clear skin, and getting the exfoliating benefits. the bottle lasts much longer, too.

I think you can. Typically anything that says that it exfoliates I wouldn't feel comfortable using everyday but this is so light and gentle I would definitely feel comfortable using it everyday if I needed to.

Yes, defintely! I have been using it as my daily cleanser. It is not harsh or gritty at all.

I believe this was marked on the box...I threw mine out but I think it lasts at least a year.

Each box has an expiration date on it, the product has a self life of 2 years, but its good one year after the expiration date. Stores just can't sell expired products.

It has an experation date on the bottom of the box when you purchase it

Use the bontanical blast gel treatment all over your face after wash/toning. keeps my skin super clear, once all my acne ceased, my scars all faded, and I don't have to wear makeup daily! :) love it.

I don't know if Boscia has anything for scars. I know there is Murad product that is specific for brightening and eliminating acne scars. I don't remeber what it is called though :(
