answer 1
I honestly like the clay mask more. The black mask does a lot of the same stuff. It is more fun to take off, but it looks freaky on my face and is more expensive.

Yes, I have tried both of those masks and prefer the clarifying detox one by far! The black one is strong, will rip off the little hairs on your face when you peel it, and it bothers my sensitive skin. This clarifying detox mask does what it says it will do. It detoxs and clarifies and leaves skin looking great. Even sensitive skin. I do recommend this one over the black one.

I have and regularly use both.
The illuminating black mask is a peel off, therefore it can be more difficult to work with and you have to use much more product, in addition to it being more expensive. It leaves my skin refreshed and soft. It has helped slightly with pore size and help even out my skin tone with regular use. It exfoliates even the deepest of pores. It helps keeps my skin bright and healthy. This mask is really fun, but with application and removal time, can take 15 minutes for the process.
The Clarifying Detox mask is a clay mask with a really great texture. It applies incredibly smoothly and evenly for a clay mask and has a really fresh smell. Its very soothing and you can get away with using a small amount. It is a wash off mask so it is more user friendly than the black mask; the whole process with this one takes me about 5 mintues. This helps tame my breakouts REALLY quickly and keeps my oily zones in check. The best part is that this mask, when used about twice a week, has reduced my pore size by about half. This mask doesn't dry me out, but I do feel the need to use moisturizer immediately more so than with the black mask.
I have very sensitive skin and neither of these bother me. Hope this helps.

I used the Boscia clay mask and I've also tried the black mask - the peel off one... Unfortunately, the peel off mask irritated my face and my face was red and irritable for a day or two after use.
I highly suggest to not use this mask if you have sensitive skin.
