According to the Mayo clinic, causes for under eye circles range from thinning skin (from aging), allergies, eczema, congestion, sun exposure, AND heredity. You seem to think it's genetic since they are always there, and I bet you're right. Expecting this to change the color is a lot to ask, but you should be able to reduce the puffiness with this cream. To combat the darkness, you might have to try addressing each cause on its own (spf, allergy meds, collagen creams to plump up the skin) to see what works.

I have bags at times and this product did not help. The only thing this did for me was moisturize. A GREAT product for reducing under-eye bags is Origins GinZing eye cream. I got a free sample and was amazed at how quickly it deflated the puffiness! I used it the morning after I'd cried the previous night and it took care of business in under 5 minutes. I wish Sephora sold Origins! Until that day, you can go to the Origins website, origins.com. Boscia has fantastic cleansers and moisturizers, but this cream did not do what it's billed to. Good luck!

Even though this helps decrease puffiness and dark circles around the eye area, I don't think there's any product that will ever get rid of it completely. But it should definitely help and feels very soothing around the eye area. I have dark circles too, but if I use this in the morning, let it sink in, and then use concealer afterwards it looks so much better than using makeup alone.

answer 5
probably not. Someone recommended pureeing fresh cucumber in a food processor and putting a teaspoon wrapped in a paper towel to create eye pillows for that. I haven't tried it, but it sounds great. They recommended pureeing it because then you get the juices. I bet if you did that nightly and used this eye cream in the morning and at night, it would help

Is a hydrating treatment which softens the area around your eyes, feels silky and great for sensitive eyes and with time you will see improvement. Vitamin E has been used to reduce puffiness and different oils extracts are soothing & calming.
