for me it actually helps when my skin is in either condition dry or oily. When it's really dry it soothes it and heals it right up and makes it baby soft and when my face is oily it actually counteracts the oil idk how but it does lol

I had the same question when I first began to use the cleanser . I would personally suggest following the directions , and applying it on dry skin , I get great results either way .

I would highly recommend using it on dry skin. It will not clean well if you use it with water because it is an oil cleanser.

Have you tried using on dry skin? I was a little concerned about this too when I bought it especially in the am, but I just put it on before getting in the shower, it doesn't irritate my eyes, so I can rub it all over then get in a rinse it off.
Applying it to wet skin may not allow it to properly clean. I notice that about after a minute the consistency changes and then I know to rinse it off.

This cleanser can be used on all skin types. My skin has been a bit sensitive lately and I use all of the Boscia products. My skin was starting to get a little dry from the winter weather and this was the perfect answer!

I did not get the same results when I used water to apply the cleanser. It doesn't penetrate the skin as well, so the skin isn't as soft or, I would bet, as clean, as it is if the cleanser is massaged gently into the skin and then rinsed in the shower or at the tap - or with a clean, wet washcloth for some exfoliating.

It doesn't seem to work the same on wet skin. You will noice that when you get it wet, there doesn't seem like there is substance and it almost dissapears. I recomend using this in the mornings and at night, but if you happen to go to the gym and want to wash your face after sweating, use a foaming/acne cleanser.

Question
Can I use this cleanser with my clarisonic?
The direction on the cleanser says "apply small amount to dry face and massage for one to two minutes." Does that mean I can't use it with my Clarisonic? Or should massage the cleanser on my face without a dip of water to begin with?

I use it with my Clarisonic, but don't expect any foam... it's definitely more of a cleansing lotion. I actually found that I like to use my Clarisonic first with nothing but water, then massage on the cleanser.

I don't use this with my clarisonic because you are supposed to use the cleanser on dry skin and I feel like it would be irritating. Clarisonic says that you can use any cleanser, as long as it doesn't have rough particles, so you could try it if you want to. A good alternative is Philosophy's Purity which is also a non-foaming cleanser, although I do find it to be slightly harsher than this one.

Definitely use your Clarisonic - just don't wet it first. This product works so much better with a Clarisonic or manual face brush.

In the evening, I cleanse as directed, then dampen my face slightly and use my Olay face cleaner..similar to the Clairisonic...then rinse off the Bosnia cleanser.

This cleanser works best if you do not use water with it. I don't have a Clarisonic but I do use a similar knock off item with this cleanser with out water and for me it doesn't feel less bad then using a foaming product with water with the device.

When I use it w/Clarisonic, the brush is wet and my skin is wet & I find that it works beautifully. It removes makeup best when it's put on dry skin, but that's only with manual application.

I have a Clarisonic also, and I use this cleanser in the winter. What I typically do is massage some on my DRY first first for about 30 seconds and then wet the Clarisonic brush and use this for another 1-2 minutes. I have found it works well for me.

Question
which cleanser would be best for my skin?
I am 43 and have very dry sensitive skin w/ occasional acne. For 10 yrs I used Clarin's gentle foaming cleanser for all skin types. It is discontinued and the replacements are drying for my skin. I tried Boscia cleansing gel but was drying although it kept my skin clear! Should I try this cleanser? Has anyone tried DDF non- drying cleanser or DDF gel cleanser? Which cleanser out of the 3 would be best for me.

Thanks

I have very dry and sensitive skin with the occasional breakout or pimple. From what I've read about cleanser types, the creamy or milk based cleansers are best, as they don't strip your face of its natural moisture. I have not tried the other products you've mentioned, but this keeps my face feeling clean, does not strip the moisture from my face, makes my face feel plump and healthy, and keeps me from having breakouts/pimples. All my breakouts/pimples literally went away after using this for a week. Hope that helps!

What is nice about the Boscia cleanser is that it is very hydrating. I haven't tried the other two cleansers you mentioned, but this product hasn't aggravated my acne prone skin so it is at least worth a try.

I'm 45 and never had sensitive or dry skin until recently. This cleanser was the answer. its soft and milky and nourishing. I use it with the night renewal and the combo is amazing. I actually put this creme on my olay buffer and the results leave my skin soft and super clean. Try it and then follow up with the night recharge. No more dry skin, and my skin shines. I couldn't be happier. Hope this helps!

Being a swimmer, I get really bad dry patched esspecially around my nose. But I also get really oily patches (T-zone) coming out of teenage problems. This cleanser is soothing to the dry patches and doesn't cause any burning that I usually get when I use cleansers. But even the creamy formula help my oil problems so now my skin is much more even. My skin ca be super sensitive and I think this cleanser is perfect for all ages!

I would say boscia's soothing cleansing cream does a fantastic job without all the drying, but I would also recommend that you look at what else you're doing or not doing to your skin that could be contributing to dryness and irritation. Are you using too many products on it? Are you moisturizing enough with the right moisturizer? Are you washing your face too often (for me, washing with this cleanser once before bedtime is enough. I rinse with cool water in the morning.)
And be sure to examine the ingredients in the products you use. Fragrances, parabens, preservatives can be irritating and maybe even harmful. There are some ingredients in products sold in America that are even banned in other countries like Canada, Japan and some European countries.
And don't forget to drink lots of water - it really does work!

Question
Winter cleanser?
With summer coming to an end and fall/winter around the corner I'm looking for a cleanser that'll help with dry skin in the winter. Last winter my skin was horribly dry from my acne products and I just couldn't find a soultion to it. I wanna be prepared this winter and have been looking into this cleanser. Right now at night I use Boscia's makeup breakup oil with my clarisonic, along with Clinique's acne soultions step 1 and 2 + clinique's moisture surge if my skin is feeling extra dry. But I know once winter is here I'll need to find different products....hopefully this cleanser??

Hope this isn't too late! I kinda have the same problems. I do have acne prone skin. I take birthcontrol to minimize that. This cleanser is so good. It's going to give your skin a much needed break. I deal with some breakouts, because I would rather have that, then extreme dry patches...not cute with foundation or any powders. If your acne is not severe, then I would explore Boscia's acne line. I haven't tried it yet, but I have been using the purifying cleanser. I use it only once a day. It has been slightly drying on a few small spots on my cheeks and it's winter time. And I really do mean slightly. It took me a while to figure out what was causing it. Just make sure you use it as it says. One pump, dry face, and keep gently massaging you face until it starts to warm up. It will feel a lot less oily than the makeup breakup. Massage the skin until desired and rinse off. I really can't live without this cleanser. They better not reformulate it like they did recently to the dry skin line of moisturizers.

Permanently out of stock?
On your website it says permanently out of stock on this product. Does that mean you will no longer carry it? Or that Boscia no longer makes this product? Thank you.

If it's every out of stock on Sephora or if you love/want to try more of their products (highly recommend it), then you really should sign up on boscia's website and purchase through there. For every $300 spent you get $30 to spend and on top of that they have free shipping over $50 and no taxes....basically way cheaper than at Sephora. Right now I've been using their Mask Medley kit and I'm really impressed with the luminizing mask and the brightening mask.
