Question
How true are the colors?
I want to try "Now" (I thought that would look good on my blue/grey eyes) but I'm not sure how close it is to the online color. Is it the same shade as the picture?

I've never been disappointed when selecting colors from the on-line images. I usually purchase brown, bronze, and plum colors of the shadow liners.

The colors are fairly true to the colors that appear online. It can be tricky though because each pc is set on it's own light/dark settings which can affect what you see on your screen. Some pc's also show colors with different hues than whatever is put on a website. Have you ever walked into the tv dept of a store and noticed that even though all the tvs are showing the same show but the colors are all a tiny bit different?
I have lots and lots of their shadows and even though I'm fair with reddish undertones, I've never found a color that looks 'bad'. Since the powders are so fine, you can apply them in layers and mix them together really easily. This allows you to adjust the hue as it appears on your own skin. I highly recommend it!

Shake a little in your hand or in the lid, then wet the liner brush. You should be able to mix it into a paste. It sticks like glue if you use a base.

For best results for me, I first put a nice line on dry, and then I wet the brush and swirl it in the cap with the dry powder and apply over my dry line that I made. It looks great and gives you a good guideline. It also lasts all day !!!!

Is coffee bean pretty close to the same color as fashionista?

I bought coffee bean because they don't sell Fashionista separate from the kit. It has more of a brown tone but I like it. Fashionista had a bit of a purple undertone which was really nice. If I could buy it separately, I would choose it over Coffee Bean.

I have both and I would say that coffee bean is just a little deeper brown. But I like it better.

I don't think so, unless you are buying it in some sort of value set. I bought my brush separately, I think around $15 or less.

I have blue eyes too! And even with the little grey in it, brown can really POP your look, try a light brown and then a darker one for a crease shadow, and an even darker shadow for your corner! I really like urban decay ones, and 'Kid' by Mac for my eyelid shadow!

Apply it wet or dry with a liner brush. BE also makes soft focus liner brushes that create a smokey effect with little effort.

Bare Escentuals recommends using their Soft Focus Liner Brush, item #1089994 on Sephora.com, to achieve a “soft-as-air effect” with the bareMinerals Liner Shadows.

For a more intense, precise line, try the Slanted Liner Brush, item #1053446 on Sephora.com.

The Liner Shadows can be applied wet or dry to achieve multiple effects.

Question
How do I keep it from flaking onto my foundation?
I've read the reviews about how long-wearing this product is and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. I use it wet with an eyeliner brush but at some point during the day it slides down the inside of my eye socket(s) and lands on the side of my nose. I'm in my 40s so I don't need anything dark (I purchased onyx) sitting underneath my eyes. Help! I want to love this product but so far I'm very unhappy with it.

Question
Liner or Eye Shadow?
Is the Liner Shadow an eyeliner or an eyeshadow, or both? I have read all the Q&A and no one seems really clear on this....some read that it is an eyeliner, and some say to apply it like an eyeshadow....
if it is an eyeliner, then do you need a different color eyeshadow and how is that used?
If it is an eyeshadow, same thing, do you need a different color eyeliner and is it used before or after?

It's really confusing!

I use it as a shadow, but I think it's technically meant as a liner. I use my regular liner first, dab my BE light stroke brush in the BE liner shadow (I use spiced fig, beautiful color) a bit, and sweep it over my entire lid. The color I use is fairly sheer though it looks very dark in the container. It's perfect for daytime wear and I get tons of compliments every time I use it. I'm not fond of using powders as liners, but that's just me. I'm a gel-liner girl.
