I try and avoid all the plethora of fragrances and this product has a very light non offensive flower/soap type of fragrance.

It's slightly herbal and floral. I personally think its refreshing, but maybe some women dont want their hair to smell like that. I find it therapeutic!

IMO, it doesn't seem to have any fragrance. I never noticed one in my 2 years of using it.

It's certainly not strong, or bad. I find it minimal but pleasant. I can't put any identifier on it, but just a mild pleasant hair product scent...if that helps...

Question
Can this product be used on dry hair between shampoos?
I am looking for a product to restore damaged hair. I don't like creams because they go on heavy and are difficult to assure even coverage that is why I am looking for a spray on product.

Yes it can, however if you have short thin hair, it may work. I have long thick hair and it is very light on conditioner and more of a tangly volumizer with a bit of condition...use the Phytospecific that has the pump and it rocks.

I think this spray would work quite well for between shampoo conditioning. It is light, conditions nicely, and dries quickly.

I really do like this product. It works for me because I have shoulder length fine hair, and I have enough of it that it becomes tangled after washing. A lot of conditioners will weigh it down, especially during certain times of the year. This product is light enough that it wil not do that, and it works so you can comb through after washing. It also adds shine and conditions. I hope that helps.

Phyto products are great. I use phytomist between shampoos after I wet my hair with a water spray bottle. Always comb conditioner thru hair after spraying on hair. Phytospecific has a 'revitalizing' product that I like for my dry hair.

You can use this on wet hair right out of the shower or in between on dry hair...I LOVE it for this reason! It's great! :)

I'd suggest using this on wet hair, I think on dry hair it would just sort of 'sit on top' instead of absorbing. Try Phyto's "Integral Hydrating Mist" it's great for spritzing on dry hair and is really restorative and hydrating

Phytomist Instant Hydrating Conditioner- I would choose this product over a leave in conditioner. With the leave in one it is easier to work with your hair. With the leave in you are adding often gooey stuff and it is easier to miss spots than the spray. The Phytomist disappears into your hair creamy conditioners that lingers. This one just makes more sense and gives you more control.

I use this product and the Phyto 9 product. I like that this is a misting spray, it works great and there is no heavy weigh down feeling.

Question
Will this product protect my scalp from sunburn at all?
I'm out in the sun very often during the summers. I have blonde short hair and hate putting actual sunscreen in my part (it's much too oily). I used an Oscar Blandi product that I quite liked before but I haven't been able to find it. I'm just looking for something that's going to protect my hair from the sun and also have the side benefit of not frying my scalp everyday.

No, this product has no SPF in it so it will not protect your scalp, only your hair.

This brand has a lot of great products, I would gently urge you to try another than this, the protection is minimal. I used this before going horseback riding because I didn't have my helmet and my head and hair was fried, it didn't prevent andything. I love phyto, props to the brand. This product is maybe good for people with thin or short hair, or oily hair...Phyto has better products..I'm currently checking out the brand new ones that just were picked up by Sephora..I don't know the rules on suggesting brands that Sephora doesn't carry...I think you may want to shop around.......then again, you always can return it. It just took alot of spraying to even get a feel of conditioning andI have no much I'm really applying when it's a spray.

I'm looking for this particular at home treatment between my visits to the salon. My stylist suggested the Phytospecific Type 3. I have thick coarse color treated hair (rinse).

It tangles my hair and barely hold any "conditioning", If it doesn't work on thick blonde hair, I think it would just make yours a horrible dry tangled mess. This should be called a volumizer!

I wouldnt recommend using this as a deep conditioner..its a leave in after you shanpoo and condition it.. as far as a deep conditioner..phyto makes awesome ones that you can use.. they have some oil ampules that you can leave in 20 min before you wash your hair which is a good deep conditioner..they also make some that are according to your hair type. Yes, with the deep conditioner and use a plastic cap, it would be great under the dryer.
