Questions & Answers for Caudalie Premieres Vendanges Moisturizing Cream

Question
Is this for me?
I am 32 years old and have combination skin. I am using the Vinoperfect radiance set and love the toner and serum, but the vinoperfect day cream seems too heavy on my skin. Would this be a good swap? I need something that doesn't feel heavy, yet want something that will be kind to my skin as I age (and hopefully, doesn't break me out!).

Thanks!

This is definately very light on your skin. I get allergic rections to most lotions, and this is the one lotion that i've ever found that doesn't bother me at all. I am also very acne prone and this also does not make me break out. It leaves my face feeling nice and soft.

I am older but I find this cream to be lighter. I need something heavier in the winter but this cream works for me in the summer months. You may like it for younger skin.

I have not used their day cream, but this moisturizer is definitely light. I have used the serum and this cream is in the same vein as that. It is light and refreshing while still doing its job.

I think I'm you in 8 years!:) I'm 40 and still get break outs although my skin can be very dry in areas. I would consider my skin sensitive also. I've tried at least 10 moisturizers in the past 5 years. Just started using this one about 3 months ago and I love it. No break outs and it is the perfect amount of moisture withOut feeling heavy. I'm sold on it, already bought another tube!

I use the Caudalie Premiere Vendanges every morning under my makeup (I use mostly Bare Minerals makeup) and have had great results. It's light, not sticky or greasy and absorbs quickly. Smells fresh and clean. I have very sensitive skin and haven't had any problems or clogged pores with this product.

Question
Caudalie or Korres?
I am looking for a new moisturizer and am trying to decide between this Caudalie one, or the Korres Honey and Thyme. I live in the Midwest, so my skin gets quite dry during the winter months. However, I have sensitive skin, that tends to break out fairly easy. I like light, clean scents. I have not tried either of these brands before. Any help is appreciated!

Caudalie is my favourite and also love the cream mask which use at night. If my skin gets very dry in the winter I use Korres Yogurt Cream . . .its amazing and leaves my skin restored with no dry patches after a single use

I, too, live in the midwest and have super-sensitive, dry skin in the winter. I've been using Caudalie for years and have never had irritation or breakouts, and find it sufficient for winter weather. Also like you, I break out easily, especially if something is too harsh.

It has a very light, fresh, feel to it and is without fragrance yet doesn't smell icky. :)

I use this moisturizer in conjunction with their Grape Water (use Grape Water first) and it ensures lasting power in addition to needing less moisturizer. ;)

It seems light enough for summer use, too, although I can't personally testify that to be true. This will be my first summer using it so we shall see! :)

Well I have the same skin type as you. My skin is very sensitive and is also very dehydrated during the cold months. I have now tried 3 of the Caudalie moisturizers, including the Premieres Vendages and they have all made me get pimples. I've since started using a Perricone MD moisutirzer and it's perfect for my skin. Haven't seen one zit and my skin feels much more hydrated. I've also started using the Clarsonic to get rid of dry skin and it's done the trick...finally! Hope this helps!

I am in the mid-west, and get dry skin during the winter. I actually have both the Premieres (Caudalie) and the Wild Rose (Korres). I love them both. The Wild Rose I use during the day since it has some minor spf, and it is full of vitamin C. I then use the Caudalie at night, and a little goes a long way - it is very moisturizing. I think they are both in the same price range and they are both wondeful, but I must admit I love anything with grapeseed in it and so my first vote if you had to choose one is the Caudalie. Hope this helps!

Not at all, I have allergy and Acne problems, and this lotion is the only one so far that doesn't inflame either one. It doesn't leave a sticky greasy film, and is very light on the skin. It absorbs good, and makes my face very soft :)

Is this good for acne-prone, combination skin?
I have young skin that is normal to oily in the summer and very dry in the winter. However, I have been breaking out like crazy around my mouth and nose for the past six months. Do you think this product will help or worsen my acne?

I have the exact same problem. My skin is sensitive and acne prone, but these winter months make my skin really dry. I have used this for several weeks and haven't had any breakouts as a result of using the cream. I was recommended this moisturizer specifically for the same reasons and I am really happy with the results.

Definately! I also have very acne prone combination skin, and this is the ONLY lotion that i've found so far that doesn't make me break out. I use this in combination with the cleanser, and it makes my face feel clean and nice and soft. I even havr the added problem of allergic reactions to most lotions, and this one doesn't make me react in the slightest.

I have been using mine for approximately 3 weeks now and the tube still appears full. You only need about a fingertip's worth of the product for your entire face and neck. I would say if you used a heavy hand with the product it may only last 1-2 months, but I will probably be using mine for at least 3 months.

Palmitic acid is a fatty acid found in palm oil. The French use it in butter and cheese. I don't know about the Vitamin A as it's not listed anywhere. All I can say is this is a wonderful product, especially for sensitive skin.

Question
Having trouble getting this moisturizer to absorb..
After I apply my treatment and moisturizer, face feels wet and sticky! For too long... I've even resorted to using a hair dryer on the cold setting to try and get the cream to absorb! This has never happened to me before, so confused.

This Is what I use..

Ole Henriksen Aloe Vera Deep Cleanser
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
Caudalie Premieres Vendanges Moisturizing Cream
and as a final step Shiseido Refining Makeup Primer SPF 21

I wonder if possibly the radiance serum is causing problems with the moisturizer absobing..? Would a toner as my 1st step help with this problem?

thx!

I add problem getting this product to sink in my skin, until I started using the clarisonic mia with the sensitive brush. My very dry, chapped skin just refused this product. Gentle exfoliation got rid of the problem. Or, could it be that both products are just too moisturizing for you? Maybe just try and skip the serum once? I have very, very dry skin, and you would think that my skin would welcome LOADS of products, but sometimes less is more, in my case anyway.

If you are currently not using a Toner I would just simply wait at least two minutes in between layering products to ensure each one sets properly. However if you would like to try a new Toner Caudalie does have a fabulous Toning Lotion you may want to try? The Toning Lotion looks like clear water but leaves a nice light layer on the face that feels more like a protective serum. I use this in place of a serum & moisturizer when I have little time. It also dries much faster than most serums. Hope this helps?

Question
Anyone with hypersensitive skin have success with this?
There are a LOT of oils and perfumed ingredients in this. Sensitive skin, in my experiences, do not react well with these. The more ingredients like this, the more chance your skin will react to one of them.

I'm not familiar with the line, but anyone have a recommendation for moisturizing hypersensitive skin?

My skin is sensitive (maybe not as much as yours), and this cream clogged my pores it was just insane! I suggest you try the Rose Cream by Dr. Hauschka! It is truly amazing and all natural (so you can find it at natural stores)! It is very very moisturizing/nourishing/thick though, so if you have super oily skin, it might not be the best! But check the line anyway! Their products are all genius (and a little expensive but worth it)!
