What it is:A natural-looking mineral powder foundation. What it does:AmazingCosmetics Velvet Mineral Powder Foundation is a silky-soft good-for-your-skin mineral loose powder foundation that glides on easily, allowing your skin to breathe while creating a naturally flawless finish, with an even tone and texture. It's formulated to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines while creating a matte finish for the face. What else you need to know:You can completely control the coverage you desire with a swipe of your brush. I have oily, aging, sensitive skin, and Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Powder Foundation is the best mineral makeup I have ever tried. EVER! I can't use Bare Minerals at all. Not only does Bare Minerals irritate my skin, but it doesn't wash off easily- I had to use witch hazel to get it off- even harsh soap didn't work. Small wonder that it looked like a rubber mask on my skin. This Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Powder, on the other hand- lets my skin breathe, is buildable, is non greasy, doesn't change color once my oil kicks in, and gives me a totally natural look without settling into fine lines! In short, I love it! Totally go for Amazing Cosmetics if you have oily skin!

Question
golden vs. olive undertone?
How do you decide if you have "golden" undertone or an "olive" undertone?

The best way to tell wither you have certin undertone colors is by looking at the colors you wear or holding up a lavender or apricot color up to your skin. Olive undertones are usually brought out by holding an apricot color up to your skin. Golden undertones are usually brought out when holding lavender colors up to your skin. It's basically exactly how it sounds olive has some what of a dark rich green undertone and golden just looks like a real rich yellow. Usually most medium skin tones are golden undertones and much more medium beige skin tones have olive undertones.

Question
What is the proper way to apply a loose foundation like this one?

The best way I've found to apply loose foundation is to use a small foundation brush. Just to dap it into the loose foundation knock some of the looser powder off into the lid and then apply to any small area like under the eyes. The best way to apply under the eyes is to go from the outer corner of your eyes in it helps reduce wrinkles later. When applying to the rest of your face use a bigger foundation brush, dap in and knock looser stuff off into the cap again and apply to face.

Is there any SPF to this foundation?
I ask because there is zinc in it, and I had hoped for SPF.

It doesn't say that there is. I agree- I wish it had a listed (or listable) SPF. To make sure I'm getting coverage, I use Alison Raffaele's Face Forward Acne primer which has SPF 15 under it.

Sorry for the inconvenience! It's unlikely that we'll be receiving more of the shade in Medium Beige since it's no longer available online. We recommend contacting your local Sephora to see if they have any in stock and continue to check back with us for updates.

Question
Two shades missing
Why doesn't Sephora carry the Light Golden and the Medium Beige? I imagine these are more popular shades and not carrying them is simply sending customers to shop elsewhere.
