Question
Ingredients in certain Lancome products
I am on a protocol which prevents me from putting anything on my skin which has salicylates in it. I recently purchased a lot of products when you had the Lancome special and need to know if any of them have salicylates in it. They are as follows: Bi-Facil, make-up remover, Absolute premium cream reconstuante, High Resolution Collaser-5X, Renergie Lift Volumetry, High Resolution Refill-3X, Flash Bronzer, tinted self-tanning leg gel with pure vitamin E, Teint Idole Ultra, La Base Pro, Tresor poudre precieuse pour le corps, perfumed body powder, and Tresor perfume. Thank you very much.

Question
Ingredients
I am looking for a gentle yet effective eye makeup remover that will actually work on my Urban Decay eyeliner. Love the reviews on thus product but I am concerned about what it may contain, as I do not see a list of ingredients. I am trying to avoid parabens, mineral oils and artificial fragrance and dyes.
Thank you.

I don't know what ingredients it contains but it's the most gentile eye makeup remover I've EVER tried - and it works. My eyes are extremely dry, I use Restasis plus I've had technis eye lenses replacement, and I'm a latisse user. This product is the most gentle product for my eyes that I've been able to try.

Per the Lancome website: AQUA / WATER / EAU, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, ISOHEXADECANE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, POLOXAMER 184, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, QUATERNIUM-15, BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, CITRONELLOL, GERANIOL ... But please note that 'artificial' fragrances typically are LESS allergenic than natural ones, due to the volitile and complex nature of natural fragrance compounds. This is why the EU has restricted so many natural fragrance compounds in the last decade from use in perfumery. Also, chemistry means fragrance that is lab-created can be bio-identical to natural compounds - so it may not come from a rose, but the molecules created in a lab will be identical in the molescules extracted from the natural source. (I collect perfume and have done a lot of investigations into this issue - you can find the same information online through mulitple sources.)

I have been using this make up remover for years. It's THE BEST make up remover because it easily removes the waterproof eyeliner and mascara that I wear. In fact, one time my teenage boys were playing around with permanent markers, and one of them ended up with crazy written on his forehead. The ONLY thing that removed it was this make up remover. Although it's very effective, it's also very gentle. I wear contacts and this never irritates my eyes.

Here are the ingredients listed on the bottle: water, cyclopentaciloxane, isohexadecane, sodium chloride, polamer 184, hexlene glycol, dipotassium phosphate, benzyl alcohol, potassium phosphate, quaternium 15, benzalkonium chloride, fragrance, cintronellol, geranol, D28137/1

I am learning this as I write this bc I have had my dream lashes lash extensions for only a week and have been careful with a qtip dipped in bi-facil followed by a water dipped qtip. I try very hard to not come into contact with my lash line and dry my lashes gently using a blow dryer after cleansing to remove any excess water. This is the best cleanser I've used in terms of performance, but only time will tell how it stands up to my lashes. Since the lashes are not directly at the immediate lash line I'm thinking it will be fine. Good luck!

In theory, yes, it is safe for lash extensions. However if you're putting mascara on your lash extensions you're going to drastically shorten their life. The application and removal of mascara does end up affecting the lash extension glue. If you regularly get extensions, I'd say only wear mascara on them on special occasions.

Question
Is this a no-rinse cleanser?
Do I need to wash this cleanser off after using? Or can I use it to clean up smudges under my eyes without having to do a full wash and re-apply?

Also I am very prone to Milia that my dermatologist told me is caused by clogged pores. Will this product cause Milia? I have had sucess with Estee Lauder but would like to try Lancome. Every other eye makeup remover has caused Milia within a week of starting to use it.

I usually wash my face after using this product. There is a lipid component to it which helps with the removal of waterproof makeup, which is why wash or rinse my face afterwards. But although it does have an oil component to it, I've never had any breakouts because of it (and I have oily skin).

It shouldn't be overwhelmingly oily if you shake the bottle first to combine the two phases. You'll need to rinse afterwards, but most people wash their face after removing eye make-up anyway and I find that just a bit of warm water takes away any residue left.

No. You have to use an oil free makeup remover or a micellar water makeup remover on eye lash extensions or else they will come off. Lancôme makes one. It's in a pump for easy use.
