answer 1
I have also tried both and prefer the Definicils. My lashes are naturally long, thick, and dark, and the Hypnose was so clumpy. It just made me look like I was wearing too much mascara. The Definicils lengthens, defines, and separates my lashes so I look more polished. Also, the Hypnose has some sort of fragrance added to it that drove me crazy - it was like having perfume put on my face. The Definicils does not have that.

answer 2
It depends what you are looking for -- Hypnose is great for volume and length, and Definicils is wonderful for separating and lenghtening. They are both excellent products. The black that you get on your eyelids when you apply the mascara is easily removed with a Q-tip, and will not reappear on your eyelids during the day. Until you perfect the way you apply the mascara, you may have this problem, but the more you use it, the less you will have to deal with black on your eyelids.

answer 4
I prefer Definicils over Hypnose, but it may depend on your lash type. I have deepset eyes with fine average density lashes. They hypnose still tended to clump my lashes, but not as badly as some.
