I've had this happen with the spray on tans. I haven't noticed this one rubbing off - I rub it in well and let it dry before I put on my clothes.

I haven't noticed the color rubbed off or stained on my clothes by sweats. But, maybe that's only because I normally apply it to my body at night and go to bed after it's completely dry. Then, next morning, I take a quick shower. Even while asleep, which is right after applying the lotion and before taking a shower, the color does not seem to stain on my bed sheets. Here in NYC, it's been really hot over 85 degrees during the day lately, I still haven't noticed the color stains on my clothes. Hope this will help.

It's not a bronzer so if you wait to dress about 20-30 minutes after application, it will not "rub" off on your clothes and it does not sweat off.

No it won't! I've never had that problem after gym!

It might. I apply it before bed and I notice a few small streaks on my sheets once in a while. I shower every morning to wash off the smell and I don't reapply until bedtime again, so it won't wear off on my clothes in the day. If you wash well, exfoliate, I don't think it will rub off on your clothes, even if you sweat.

The color shows up in about 24 hours. You can really notice a glow.

It's fast drying, but for me personally it takes a few hours for the color to actually show up. I just put it on before bed & wake up to color! =]

I noticed that I was a shade or two darker about 4 hours after applying. My husband didn't notice, but I definitely felt that my skin tone was evened out.

gel

I haven't tried the gel - the milk is like a thick lotion - absorbs nicely - not greasy.

I would definitely use the Self Tanning Milk, it goes on really smooth, just as easy as putting on lotion!

The milk is much better, I've tried both & the milk is a more natural color, streak-free, & a bit longer lasting.

I have not tried the gel,but have always used the cream.

I've definitely used it on my face - and it's fine- but my skin is normal - not real sensitive.

It should not be used on face, as it is a "tanning" cream and could dry, You might check for a face tanner or bronzer.,

I prefer the milk to the gel. My skin is very dry and I noticed the gel tends to streak on my skin.

I can only speak to the milk - which is like a thick lotion - spreads evenly but isn't milky and runs. Go with a light coat the first day - I think you'll be thrilled - I've never had it look orange - the best thing is it smells nice - many of the self tanners have a certain smell.

I bought the milk, because it sounded smoother to apply. I'm also VERY fair was afraid of looking orange, but this gave me a natural looking tone. I did not try it on my face - used a bronzer mixed in with my regular powder to try and even out the difference.

I haven't had this issue - I wash my hands really well before drying them. I let it dry before I dress.
