The one I have is not a roll-on OR a brush, it's just a skinny little jar or bottle with a hole just a bit narrower than the cap width (like a soda bottle). So I put my finger over the opening and tipped the bottle to get some product on it, then smeared it on my lips, then back to the bottle, etc.

As for lipstick or lipstain, I like to wear this gloss over it for a glamorous, glossy finish. Since this gloss is nice and affordable, it's great to carry in my purse so I can reapply it over lipstick/lipstain throughout the night so my lips always look shiny and full. If I want something to plump up my lips prior to applying the lipstick/lipstain, I've found it's best to use a better quality lip plumping treatment like LipFusion XL or Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme. I hope this helps you!

For a matte finish try under the lipstick.
For gloss try over the lipstick.
It has a light tint of red, very faint.
It does quickly absorb. I prefer matte lipstick.
I will use a lip butter for a gloss effect.
When I apply this over the lip butter or any lipstick,
I make sure to clean the Lip Venom applicator brush as
it picks up pigment from my lips.
Good Luck!

I think a little bit should be evenly applied (not too thick) directly to your lips first, so it's stinging/plumping effect can act on your lips better. (Blot if you need to before applying lip color.) Then you can always add a touch more for gloss over your color if you want to.

It's a gloss, and usually a gloss would go over a lip stick, to add a little depth (color, shine, etc). I don't know if the plumping effects would work or be as drastic/effective over a lipstick, but I do know people use it over top of a lip stick or stain.

You need to wear it on your bare lips. I just use it as is, no other lipstick necessary. I use the gloss but they do have a tinted version. After it has worked its magic you can apply lipstick on top.

You can do both, whatever you want. It's a little harder to apply lipstick on top of a gloss, so you may want to put on top of lipstick when you wear that too. It will still tingle. By itself, I think the gloss helps enhance your natural lip color.

I've used both, and Lip Venom produces better results. I love the stinging/burning effect it gives and I think my lips look fuller with Lip Venom. However, you get more product with the Lip Injection and the tingling is more subtle.

Both products work - I prefer Buxom, though, because Buxom glosses come in an array of colors, and, instead of stinging or irritating (which I know you specified you didn't mind), they produce more of a slight cooling sensation. I also think the Buxom glosses (depending on the shade) are more dewy, and I find Lip Venom to be shiny, which I don't like as much.

answer 7
To answer your question i have tried both plumpers and i would say by far that Lip Venom is a better use of your money and time. Buxom lip plumpers may come in a variety of shades but the smell and quality of the gloss is not up to my standards, the buxom gloss is thick and sticky, the shades are pretty but i just didnt notice that much plumping as just a numbing of my lips and an obnoxious smell. So i would say for your money go with the Lip Venom, while it is a bit pricey for such a small bottle the sheer wash of pink and plumping helps your lips to draw out their own perfect pink and gives you the perfect pout you want. Good luck, hope i could be of help.

Try poking where the brush would connect to the wand with a Q-Tip, maybe you'll be able to attach it and retrieve it like that. Then maybe you can reattach it to the wand. Or I'm sure Sephora would be happy to exchange it for you.

Actually there is a little plastic cap on top of the bottle. If you use your fingernail you can pry that off and that will remove the plastic part that stops the liquid from free flowing. I guess if you can fit a small pair of tweezers in there you can retrieve the brush from it but not sure how much of the product you would lose in doing so.
GOOD LUCK!

Try using a bamboo skewer- it should be thin enough to poke down in there, pinch the brush against the slide of the bottle, and either slide it out or get it close enough to the top to use tweezers.

If you boil a pair of long nosed tweezers or even a long sewing needle to sterilize it you might be able to retrieve the brush from the bottom. To keep using your gloss I would suggest using a lip gloss brush and then washing it after each use to keep it nice or buy those disposeable ones. I wouldn't use q-tips cuz you might get cotton fuzz in your gloss. Hope this helps!

I'm not quite sure. If you don't want to spend this much on a lip plumper, try Victoria's Secret, I know they have a lip plumper that is around 7-9 dollars. Your local drugstore might also carry a lip plumper.

While Lip venom is not exactly "cheap" i think the benefits far outweigh the cost. For your money i do not believe you will find a better lip plumper but if it is that you want "quantity over quality" then you could go the route of Buxom lip plumper. Their lip plumpers are larger for their cost, but are much thicker and instead of using a spicy kick like lip venom instead numb the lips with a cooling agent. While lip venom is small you only need to use a little to go a long way, it's scent, taste and quality make it able to be priced as it is. I would say give it a try, if it does not meet your standards or you feel it is just too expensive Sephora has a great return policy and would work with you to find something that will fit your needs. Good luck and happy shopping.

"A powerful lip-plumping gloss." Is what the claim to this product is. It fails short. The amount of product you get for the price that is charged is VERY steep. As much as you end up putting it on to moisturize the lips it does not last long either. Extremely over priced for what you get and the amount you use in the course of a day.
Honestly I would only pay about $5.00 for the bottle with the size you get. I will be looking for a new more affordable product in the future.

Makeup can be expensive because of lots of reasons. Ingredients, how a product is produced, where it is produced, etc...alot of organic products that are made by those who practice fair trade are going to be pricier than something mass produced with artificial ingredients. Lots of times it is a matter of status too...you are paying to flash that fancy logo.

I'd say save for what matters to you. I'd pay more money for things like perfume because cheap perfume many times smells cheap. Foundation is another one to invest in because it's worth it if it makes your skin look gorgeous! I've had cheap lipstick I love and spendy lipstick I love. I enjoy Too Faced's Lash Injection but that other kind in the pink and green tube at the drugstore is great too. Prioritize what's most important and save up if that's what you want. Just remember smiling is free and it makes everyone beautiful. :)

Either way, for me it is too sheer to wear alone as I like deep shades of lip color, thus I wear it over my lipstick.

It works great when worn alone--it makes bare lips shinier and more noticeable and gives them a slightly darker than natural color. As for lipstick or lipstain, I like to wear this gloss over it for a glamorous, glossy finish. If I want something to plump up my lips prior to applying the lipstick/lipstain, I've found it's best to use a better quality lip plumping treatment like LipFusion XL or Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme. I hope this helps you!

I wear it with my lipstick. Lip venom does bring out a little of your natural color. I like to even-out the color of both my lip color. If I wear this alone, my upper lip will still be paler than my lower lip. I hope that makes sense. I bought Smashbox's gloss that's supposed to bring out your lip color, but I wasn't that happy with it.

Either. On it's own the cinnamon may give your lips a bit of a color flush. Over gloss it will add high shine and not effect the color much at all.

I wear it with nothing else. I have tried it under lipstick and on top of lipstick and do not see much of a difference there. I find it adds a bit of shine to natural lips and looks best with nothing.

I usually chose to wear this alone, however I have worn it both under and over lipstick. If you choose to wear it under lipstick apply a thin amount and let it sink into your lips first otherwise you will just gunk up your lipstick in the tube. I rather like the effect over lipstick cause it adds a nice high glossy shine to your colour. I tend to use a disposable lipbrush to apply the Venom over my lipstick so as not to tint or contaminate the Venom left in the container with my lipstick.

The regular lip venom is a permanent product. (Although the twilight red color may be a temporary one).

This is not a goopy or "gluey" feeling lip gloss. It is light and slightly tingly. More tingly the younger you are, as it stimulates circulation. There is no tackiness feeling to it. It feels fresh and light.

I was concerned about that too but it's excellent at keeping your lips soft especially after use. Some chap sticks I have used in the past weirdly dried my lips out worse over time but this is an HG product for sure. Unless I find a cheaper just as effective alternative!

Yeah, maybe. Mine tend to get a bit dry. To prevent this, I always put on a thin coat of lip balm beforehand. But since I smoke and don't drink nearly enough water, that may be a factor in dryness. Your mileage may vary.

But if your concerned a simple chapstick underneath will help.
