It definitely does come in a lotion, but Sephora doesn't seem to carry it. I've seen it at the Dior perfume counters at several Macy's, sometimes in gift sets, so I'd give there a try.

Yes it does come with a body lotion, it did come with a hand lotion as well but I can't find it anymore. I purchase mine at Ulta.

You can buy it in 1 oz and 1.7 oz bottles at Sephora and you can find larger 3.4 oz bottles elsewhere such as fragrancenet.

It looks like this comes in 1.7oz (standard for this perfume) and a 1.0oz on the Sephora site. I've seen 3.4oz elsewhere.

There are two sizes: there is the 1.0 oz, which is about the size of half of a baseball. Used in moderation, it should last you a while. There's also the 1.7 oz size, which will be about 1 1/2 the size of the 1.0 oz. This fragrance is a great buy, hope this helps you. =)

Only sample I know of is part of the Sephora mini perfume gift sampler that I received last Christmas (2010).

i went to sephora and couldnt figure out which one i liked better (between this 1 and burberry brit) and the lady there gave me the mini spray vials of each fragrance. im sure if u ask them at a sephora store they will make u up a sample to wear for a few days! :)

I was a little weirded out by that too, but it does stay on for a long time, especially for an EDT. I can put it on in the morning and still smell it strongly when I come home from work and classes ~12 hours later.

Nope, AFAIK they only make this perfume in EDT, plus a lotion which Sephora doesn't carry. I've read that it was reformulated and the new version is lighter/less lasting - it was quite heavy enough as an EDT in the original version.

Some (in store) Macy's sell this perfume in all of its forms. Check your local one and see if it is a carrier of Dior, not all are. And if there is a Dior shop close to where you live, you could pop in and see, or in the very least call. I had one Dior store in America hold one in Rome for me when I moved.

parfum is soooooo expensive and I think its just like the edt because its a heavier scent

Personally I think the Hypnotic in an EDT formula is potent enough and has staying power (I could smell it 8 hours later). I think an EDP formula may prove a bit too powerful for me, as parfums are usually much stronger. I would only use a scent's mist or lotion as a layering agent...something to help the perfume have staying power. Hypnotic's scents are so complex that it doesn't need any layers. BTW, Pure Poison, an EDP (another lovely scent) has a different effect on the nose than Hypnotic Poison an EDT.

In the perfume world, there are three forms of spray on scents. EDT- Eau du Toilette, EDP-Eau du Parfum and Body Mist. EDT's and EDP's have the most staying power. They generally last 6-8 hours on skin while a mist is designed to last 3-4 hours. Hypnotic Poison does come in a lotion form, a gift set that has a 1.7oz and an atomizer (purse size). You can purchase both at Macy's. It does not have a shower gel.

Yes. If you visit the store you may smell the fragrances. If there is one you like, but you'd like to wear and test its compatibility with your skin, they can give you a small sample to take home.

The best idea is to head to a Sephora near you and spray it directly on you, allow to dry down and then wear for the day. Very hard to find Hypnotic Poison samples.Good Luck

if you go in store the people that work at sephora are always willing to give you a sample of whatever fragrance you want to try... they soak a cotton ball and put it in a sample bottle usually...

Probably depends on the size of your local store - the bigger the store, the more they'll have. I got it in-store the first time (the staff helped me pick it out), but that was several years ago. It's not a new fragrance but it's popular enough that it should be fairly readily available. I'd call your local store and ask. If they don't have it, you can always order it online, and return it at the local store if you're unhappy with it.

I had a coupon for a full-size bottle of the fragrance of my choice after purchasing the fragrance sampler a few months ago, so I was able to get this at the store. You may call your local Sephora and ask if they have it in stock....

I've always been able to find this at every Sephora store I've gone to. Especially since I could not find this in department stores, Sephora always had it in stock.

the original poison comes in a purple bottle and yes, it is still sold. i found it at a shoppers drug mart. to be honest it DOES NOT compare to hypnotic at all. it smells like a grandmother, not sexy not bewitching .. not a knockout like hypnotic poison

You might want to try Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle if you can find it. It's a softer version.

I found Lolita Lempicka (the original one in the light purple bottle) was fairly similar, but a bit lighter. There may be some more recent ones that are also, though, as this was one of the earlier gourmand fragrances.

You could also try just applying less - I usually spray it once in the air and walk through right after showering, to avoid it being too strong.

The store staff were really helpful when I originally went perfume-shopping (they're the ones who found me this one) - I'd recommend going into a Sephora store and asking for assistance.

yes, try kenzo amour - it smells very similar but it's lighter.

you can lighten it up if you mix the scent with victoria secret's love spell body spray. Wear them lightly together but beware, this mixture is a secret weapon :-)

It does come in a 3.4 oz as well. Understand that you will want to use it up within a year or so as perfume's ingredients and essential oils can break down over time drastically changing the scent itself and its ability to last on the skin.. Sometimes it's best to buy small, use up and get a fresh one again.
