Question
Can this product cause red bumps on the eye lid?
I received a sample of this product on 7/13/10. I used it for the first time that night and put it into the refrigerator. I used it again on the 14th right from the refrigerator, then used it the same way again last night, and this morning and my right eyelid was swollen with multiple tiny red bumps on it, and a few on my left eyelid, but not as bad. On my way into work the swelling subsided, still a little swollen and the dots are still there and are sensitive. Do you think it could be from this product? It is just strange if it was from this product why did it take 3 nights of application before I got the reaction?

P.S. it also took my clinique moisturizer a couple days to kick in. My skin had no reaction to it for the first 2 days, but bumps started to appear around the 3rd day and got worst by the 4th.

it might be an allergic reaction to one or some of the ingredients in the product. I didn't have any allergic reactions to this eye gel, but I did have a horrible reaction to a clinique acne solution moisturizer and it caused red bumps all over my face. So most likely there is something in the gel that is not suited for your skin.

I got same reaction: swollen eyes, redness at first, then red bumps on my eyelids and under my eyes! The difference only - I got this reaction instantly...

I tried the refrigerator trick too. Nothing the first couple of times, but after about the third time I did get a red bump directly below my eye. I didn't put any on my lids, just on the brow area and below my eyes. I stopped refrigerating it, and didn't have any more problems.

You should probably go see a dermatologist or your family doctor. Maybe you just had a wierd reaction based on your skin profile, not from somethhing wrong with the product.

This sounds like an allergic reaction - I would go to a doctor or a dermatologist and explain when it occurred as well as the specific products you were using. Only a dermatologist (or regular doctor) should answer questions and concerns about possible allergic reactions to products.

This gel did exactly the same thing to me! It took a few days for the rash to develop, so maybe it's a cumulative effect. It itched like crazy, too!
