It says you can apply it under the eye and then apply your normal eye cream over it. So, Pure Perfection must act as a primer for your normal eye cream I would assume. I used it under my eyes and it's been fine- no irritation.

Yes, you can use this around your eye. On the back of the jar, it says that it's safe to do so.

Even though it has moisturizers, I find it too harsh for every night use. It has the heavy moisture to counter balance the acids. I can actually feel a bit of a tingle when I apply it. I have normal to dry skin--dry in the winter.

Question
Too Young?
I'm 20 years old and looking for an anti-aging night cream as more of a preventative measure rather than to actually get rid of wrinkles. Since this product supposedly firms skin and gets rid of wrinkles, do you think it would be okay for me to use it? I know some products that claim to do this are actually bad for young skin.

I'm 26 - started using this at 25 - and am currently wrinkle free. I think this is a great product if you have dry skin, and if you are prone to buildup that can clog pores. I get facials a few times per year, and the esthetician often recommends glycolic or lactic acid to help remove the buildup of dead skin without irritating with scrubby products. I have found this to be a great product for my young skin - but judge for yourself if you have the kind of skin that would work well with glycolic acid.

Hi, I'm 20 and never was looking for this...just got it as a sample and loved it so I had to buy the full thing. I never knew my skin could look so good. My skin got nice and firm, smooth, less pores...honestly everything you could want! Just beware that it is very moisturizing/intensive and is good for dry skin so if you are acne-prone you may want to carefully consider.

Yes, I think it would be good for your skin. I don't see how this could hurt young skin like yours since it seems to work in a very gentle way. Also, it doesn't have all those noxious chemicals in it so your are not adding anything bad to your bloodstream unnecessarily. When you first put it on it feels greasy, but then somehow it just sinks in and you are left with soft, smooth skin that feels clean. I have a problem with build up in my pores, and this product seems to actually help with that.

I think it's about a 7. It feels very moist when I first put it on (usually after I shower or wash my face in the morning) and in less than 30 minutes it's totally absorbed and my face is ready for makeup... it may be faster than that, but I haven't timed it.

This has a definite moisturizing feel, but it not quite as not as creamy as First Aid. The beauty of Henriksen products is that you wear an approriate serum underneath (the products are made to work together for best results). When you follow this routine consistently, you will have the MOST moisturized skin of your life. I find Henriksen in a class of its own in terms of potency and results!

This cream is very intense but day or night application depends on your skin. I use it at night but from the harsh winter I some apply a bit in the morning too if i feel dry. In the summer, I probably would use it just at night. It absorbs really well though, tightens skin and is an amazing product.

This is definitely a night cream. The glycolic and lactic acids help to remove dead skin cells, but you need to actually wash away those dead cells in the morning. Not to mention, lactic acid has a horrible smell, I would never use it during the day. Despite the smell, though, I wouldn't do without this cream. I use it 2-3 nights a week, and after I wash my face in the morning, my skin feels so smooth and actually glows.

Absolutely! I use this over "Truth Serum™ Collagen Booster " or "Invigorating Night Gel™." Henriksen's products are made to work in conjunction for best results. You will probably need to take a break from this every few nights because of its potency, but please return. My skin hasn't looked this good since my Baptism!

when I use the 3 products at night and then use the pure perfection, the first step (the night gel) flakes off my skin...I figured out through trial and error, to let the 3 products really soak in (ten minutes or more) and then use the pure perfection.. But it works great in the morning or anytime that your face feels super dry..

When I bought this cream and tried it for the first time I noticed that the top 1/2 inch or so was very rubbery and dry.. I tried to spread it on but it was difficult and it flaked off a minute after.. when I dug inside that leathery/ rubbery layer I found a more softer creamier consistency.. I noticed that the cap was not very tightly sealed when I bought it so I thought it dried out.. it did have rotten milk smell too..
I ended up exchanging it and the cream in the new jar was nice and fluffy... so you might have got a bad jar like the one I got the first time..
