it made me break out!

I received a small sample of this at Sephora and really liked it. However, my forehead is oily and prone to break-outs, so a moisturizer being non-comedogenic is really important to me. I tried googling it, but couldn't find a solid answer, so I e-mailed Jack Black, and this is what they replied:

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF 20. We do not specifically test for it being non-comedogenic, however it was formulated with ingredients that should not clog your pores or cause you to break out. This is one of our best selling products and I have never received any complaints about it causing acne, blackheads/whiteheads or clogging pores."

So, no, it's not explicitly non-comedogenic. But when I sampled it, it was REALLY lightweight and not greasy at all, unlike every other moisturizer I've tried. I'm willing to purchase it and give it a shot--especially with Sephora's great return policy (if it does cause me to break out, I can return it).

It's intended for men, but there's no reason that women couldn't use it - I tried it when it was given to me as a sample, and I liked it a lot. It's nice that it has antioxidants and vitamins!

The Jack Black brand is not exclusively for men. I think it is a good way to get your man to wear products that are good for his skin but women can also use such stuff as the moisturizer and other products. This is not too harsh for a girl to wear.

This product is marketed for men but anyone can use it since it's a very friendly moisturizer for all skin types. I like it very much!

The current formulation (which isn't very new) of Double Duty doesn't use parabens at all.

You can distinguish it from the original version by the addition of Jack Black's green PureScience logo on the front of the bottle. And also, of course, by the ingredients list on the back.

Methyl Paraben is different than Parabens. Methyl paraben is used as a binder in creams & lotions as well as other products. Not alot is used; it is a negligeable amount.

Yes, it is a green, eco-friendly product. No animal testing that I am aware of.

I share the same concern but I guess it was sephora's mistake when making the list, who knows! The fact is the list of ingredients on the packaging does not contain any form of parabens.

good point...I guess when they are such a large company, they can make any claim they want and no one will say anything. The product is poor anyway.

There are no parabens (including methylparaben) in the current formulation of Double Duty. Sephora's ingredients list is out of date.

Jack Black changed Double Duty to a "PureScience" formula a couple years ago which is paraben-free.
