answer 1
it removes my makeup beautifully! it leaves my face refreshed and super clean!(:
answer 2
If you are using it in combination with a Clarisonic maybe, however by itself it was not enough to remove my makeup. Personally, even though I use this with my Clarisonic, I remove my makeup prior to and then use this product. I feel like your going to be benefiting more from the product if it's not trying to clean off your makeup and then also penetrate your pores.

I've been using this for a few years now. I actually dont think it is a very good "makeup remover" although I used only one step for a long time and it still did a decent job. I would reccommend a cheap makeup remover first, (say, an Oil of Olay, Aveeno, etc brand..but gentle) and then to then apply this to your t-zone and "problem areas" afterwards...
followed by a light moisturizer as this can be drying...
Still, it is very good..when you just feel that your face is dirty and irritated...
it is clean after you use this...it works pretty well for acne, but truly, theres no miracle cure out there...and its not great for severe acne..but mild acne breakouts I would say.

I suggest that you double-cleanse with this product. As much as I love it, I feel it's more of a treatment-wash, so you want to wash your face with a gentle purifying cleanser first, then use this. I use Estee Lauder's 2 in 1 purifying cleanser before this, because it's gentle and really gets off all my makeup. I use this for the clean minty feeling it gives you and for the acne benefits

No, it is not a reliable make-up remover, especially for mascara or shadow. It would sting if you used it anywhere near your eyes. What I do is remove my make-up first with a traditional non-medicated cleanser, then use this product.
