Yes, that is what I use it with. It is very gentle and since it does not have any beads in it there will be no problems with it and the Clarisonic Mia. I prefer to wet the Clarisonic lightly before I put cleanser on it, versus wetting my face.

I have mild acne but no, I stopped using the cleanser by itself because I don't like how it works alone. It's a bit harsh on my skin but I made some adjustments and now everything is fine! I still use the cleanser twice daily like normal but when I put the toner on, I only put it on the areas I have acne and avoid sensitive areas on my face. I only use the toner once a day. I use the moisturizer but I use a little more than I had been using before and do that twice a day like normal. And also I night after I wash my face and stuff I lock in the moisture using a dry oil (Argan dry body oil by Organix) on my face and because it's a dry oil, it doesn't clog my pores and absorbs very quickly while sealing in moisture. So now my skin is never irritated or dry! I also don't buy the products by step 1, 2 and 3. I just picked the products that I felt would work best for my own skin so I ended up getting two different step 1 products and a step 3 product.

I have very oily skin with breakouts but I can't use the whole system, as it is entirely too strong for me. I use just the cleanser at bedtime and other products from my esthetician for toning and moisturizing. The cleanser works well to unclog pores and as a bacteria fighter.

Even the cleanser is too harsh for mild acne. I think Philosophy's Purity or Origin's Checks and Balances are better for mild acne because they have more mild ingredients and do not dry out your face but still completely clean it.

Yes, I had patches of break outs on my forehead, two-three clusters of maybe three-four pimples and it worked for me. I know my acne is hormonal (my birth control causes it) and probably my stress doesn't help either so if thats what is causing yours definitely give it a try. There's a trial box available for $22 that has the cleanser, toner, a clarifying mask, and the lotion. Give that a try see how it works if your like me you'll be sold before the first week is through and if it doesn't work at least you didn't waste that much money. But I have a feeling you'll love it as much as I do. Good luck!

No, it did not help me at all. It made my skin worse because it dried it out causing more breakouts. I would try Checks and Balances by Origins or Purity by Philosophy. If you do try Purity and you wear makeup, take it off and then use Purity because it doesn't take off makeup and you aren't left with a clean face.

For me, my skin is REALLY dry and sometime oily. When I first bought this Murad cleanser it made my skin really dry. I used lotion and other products to help make it less dry but it didn't really work. My skin was STILL dry and I can feel it too!! That's how bad it was. But I didn't want to waste my $$ because I love the scent and I had a feeling that it would work for me. (Even though it made my skin very dry....)

Solution to Murad cleanser dryness: Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion.

After I bought it and started using it, OMG!! I can tell the difference from using other products and this product. I think it is really worth it because now my skin is much better. I don't feel the dryness or skin cracking.

I use this everyday, 2xs a day. My skin feels great after I wash my face and put on the lotion too. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

I hope this helps.

My skin is also tends to be on the dry side. I'm not sure how it works, maybe neutralizes the skin, but it clears my acne and leaves my face soft, not dry. Go to the store and ask for a sample - a small drop is all you need to cleanse the face, so a sample should last you about a week and that will be enough to see if you like it or not.

This product is really gentle! I used it after I had a terrible skin reaction to an antibiotic and an allergic reaction to a powder bronzer. I also use the Soy Fresh Face Cream instead of the Murad face cream (the Murad lotion wasn't my favorite, a little too harsh, and a topical spot treatment for blemishes when necessary) and my skin really changed for the better. Its a great combination!

You may want to start with something more mild, like Clinique if you are looking for a regimen/entire package. This is very strong - especially if used daily. I love it because I use it every other day - otherwise I just use Dove and then the Murad Moisturizer (which I highly recommend). Their spot treatment is also extremely effective for a particular trouble spot when used over night.

You are going to experience some major changes and some small changes in your body since having a child.Your skin especially. However your skin and body can take up to a year and half to return to normal after having a child. Some of the changes will be remain in place others will go back to normal. You will also experience some hair fallout, called shedding too. This is common due to the hormonal shift from pregnancy to post pregnancy. As a Cosmetologist I hear this all the time. to better select product type for you go to murads website at http://www.murad.com/acne-products.jsp. They have a questionnaire to help diagnose all your symptoms and recommend the product that fits your needs. It will be able to give you more info on the product as well.

Find a very mild cleanser, such as one from Peter Thomas Roth, or Clinique liquid facial soap, and then add your moisture based on your skin's needs. It is not considered good for the skin for your cleanser to be too drying, or have acids in it.

Question
Good for my skin?
My skin is ridiculously sensitive. So sensitive that my skin therapist hated when I came in (but loved giving me expensive things to try). I discovered that I have an oily forehead and a VERY dry area around my mouth, especially below my lower lip. I tried another sort of cleanser from hormeta and that turned my skin into flaky, irritated sandpaper. Then I was put on a very expensive hormeta 'beauty milk' which is only stalling the acne and the dryness but not actually getting rid of it.

I am a starving college student and this is so much cheaper than what I've ever been given. I tried a sample and loved it but I don't know how it is for the long term.

What I want to know is if this would be bad for me to switch to and if it would make my face start drying out again.

I love this product too and I think you should definitely switch to it. It CAN make your skin sensitive and dry (especially in the T-zone area) so what I would reccommend is that if you're going to keep using it, to by a dry body oil (I use Argan dry body oil by Organix) to put on your face at night before you go to bed after using moisturizer to lock that moisture in. And because it's a dry oil, it won't clog your pores and it absorbs very fast but will make your skin alot healthier too and get rid of any annoying dry patches and flakiness.

I would not use this particular product if you have Extremely sensitive skin. I have used this for 3 weeks now and it has dried me out horribly. I'm applying lotion 3-4 times a day and my face is Still peeling/flaking away. I have no blemishes which is good but the drying effect is sooo bad i'm unable to wear makeup (it flakes worse). I actually just purchased another Murad facial cleanser and plan on using it and then using this one 1-2 times per week, perhaps that way i will keep the blemishes at bay but not be sooo dry. If you are using it in combination with a Clarisonic maybe, however by itself it was not enough to remove my makeup. I've been using this for a few years now. I actually dont think it is a very good "makeup remover" although I used only one step for a long time and it still did a decent job. I would reccommend a cheap makeup remover first, (say, an Oil of Olay, Aveeno, etc brand..but gentle) and then to then apply this to your t-zone and "problem areas" afterwards...
followed by a light moisturizer as this can be drying...
Still, it is very good..when you just feel that your face is dirty and irritated...
it is clean after you use this...it works pretty well for acne, but truly, theres no miracle cure out there...and its not great for severe acne..but mild acne breakouts I would say.

I suggest that you double-cleanse with this product. As much as I love it, I feel it's more of a treatment-wash, so you want to wash your face with a gentle purifying cleanser first, then use this. I use Estee Lauder's 2 in 1 purifying cleanser before this, because it's gentle and really gets off all my makeup. I use this for the clean minty feeling it gives you and for the acne benefits

No, it is not a reliable make-up remover, especially for mascara or shadow. It would sting if you used it anywhere near your eyes. What I do is remove my make-up first with a traditional non-medicated cleanser, then use this product.

I, too, read about the "purging period." It's bunk. I kept going for 6 weeks, getting worse every day. Finally I just figured enough was enough and I stopped using it. Within 2 days most of the pimples were either gone or at least noticeably reduced. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. If you think it's not working, you're probably right.

If your skin gets worse before it gets better then you know it's working! Keep on using it...I did and my skin looks GREAT!

hm, for me, the cleanser got rid of my acne at my first use. All of my acne were completely gone within three days. I haven't noticed any breakouts ever since my first use, so your situation looks like you need to be careful on this product.

Yes, that happened to me. It did not take the acne away immediately, instead I got more. But it goes away!!! Give it time. Lots of time. Stick with it. Dont give up. I'd say by your 3rd bottle, you are going to see a marked difference. It took me a full year to go from full blown acne, to skin that is pimple free and smooth. I used the AHA cleanser every 2 to 3 days in combination with the acne cleanser.

Yes - the Sephora consultant told me that you may see an initial outbreak as it pulls all of the dirt from the pores.

I did experience some purging when I started using the product, but it didn't last long and wasn't bad enough that I stopped. I'd give it 2-4 weeks if you can stand it. I've loved the product myself!

Hey! Don't despair. I purged for about 4 weeks before I saw a marked improvement. Now I only get 1 every now and then. I 've been using it for four months & my skin gets better every day. It's even fading the scarring. Don't give up. At least wait a month.

I use my hands and they work fine. Sometimes if I feel like I need a deeper clean I will use the clarisonic in conjunction with the cleanser. However, since it does have salicylic acid, it dries out my hands and knuckles quite a bit, so if you do use your hands be sure to rinse your hands entirely of the product and use a nice moisturizing hand cream. Your hands will work just fine though since the cleanser foams.

I find my bare hands are just fine or I use the Clarsonic...which gives an amazing deep down clean. If you don't have a clarisonic...I would highly recommend purchasing one. I was reluctant because of the price...it's worth every penny. I have gotten all my friends hooked on it!!!

I use a washcloth because my hands aren't enough. A washcloth gently exfoliates and leave my skin nice and smooth with this cleanser.

Your hands should be enough because the salicylic acid content is as stong as it can be at 1.5%, this should act like an exfoliator (my facial lady told me this). I have been using just my hands and have had good results except it has dried my out pretty bad so my face is very flaky/peeling. I'm applying lotion 3-5 times a day, but am blemish free! Good Luck!!!

My hands are always enough... sometimes you want to be careful for roughing up your skin too much. If you stress out acne too much, it just aggravates it. Gentle does it for now. Once your skin is cleared up, add one of those face cleansing brushes to your routine if you like.

One's hands are the best tool one can use in a skincare regimen. Although there are many skincare brushes, mechanical devices and cleansing clothes on the market, you can achieve a clear, glowing complexion with a great cleanser and your hands.
