Tria Age-Defying Laser

What it is:An FDA-cleared, fractional non-ablative laser technology for at-home use. What it does:The Age-Defying Laser sends targeted beams of light deep within the skin to support natural collagen production the exact same way that the professional treatments do. It treats skin from within: beams of light penetrate the skin to create microscopic zones of cellular disruption. The skin feels warm, but the surface is left undisturbed. It stimulates natural healing: the body's natural healing process springs to action, working to rapidly heal the treated areas by stimulating natural collagen production. It supports new collagen: as new collagen forms, fine lines, wrinkles, and imperfections are naturally sloughed away. Research results:Women who used the laser in clinical studies reported a number of visible improvements to their skin, including enhanced clarity, smoothness, and radiance. After 4 weeks participants reported: - 76% saw a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles - 87% saw a more youthful and radiant complexion - 95% saw smoother skin - 92% said it works better than any cream or serum

Questions & Answers for Tria Age-Defying Laser

Question
Is this safe for around eye area?
Both of my parents have the dreaded "hooded" eye lid where the skin around the orbital bone sags and covers most of the lid. I have noticed some minor droop-iness around my orbital bone and brow area. so I was wondering if I invested in this product, would it be safe and effective to use there? I'm still young; I am looking for a product that will help reverse/prevent eye aging so I won't need surgical procedures later on.

Please, please, please do NOT use this any where near your eyes. If you was to have one small "bump" or sudden movement and the laser went off over *in* your eye you could risk blindness!

The instructions for use say that it is for the crows feet only, not the top of the eyes

I use both products concurrently.

They do totally different things.

I would not swap out one for the other.

I have a mixed background with a light tan skin, but am susceptible to hyperpigmentation after acne. My skin had the same reaction to the Tria as it did to a deep peel; the areas of my skin when I usually get hyperpigmentation (around nose, nasolabial folds, chin) got REALLY dark and it took me many weeks to get my skin even again. I believe this laser really works, but maybe stay away from areas you've had hyperpigmentation previously and be gentle as far as the products you use while using the laser.

Question
Does this laser give the same results as microdermabrasion?
I'm wondering if the tria age-defying laser produces the same results as microderm? I have fair skin and it's oily with some dry patches. I'm 40. I have great results with microderm (decreased oil and pore size and soft smooth even skin) but i can't afford that and the laser. Does anyone know if this takes the place of microderm treatments?

For me it did not take their place, it greatly improved my skin but at 55, I still do some home microdermabrasion. Just not as often. It does not give me that super smooth porcelain type look as microdermabrasion does but it does a much much better job on lines

No it is a true laser.

LED light and laser light are two different types of light.

I actually have an LED panel for the face, with little red, yellow and blue settings, and use it in addition to this.

They're different things.
