I would use pearl because once blended it is colorless...you just see a "glow" . Very pretty!

i have a fair skin color in the winter when i'm not tan so i use the pearl, but i also have the gold that i use in the summer when i have more color natural color in my face. if you don't have any sort of a tan, i would use the pearl because otherwise the gold makes you look like you have too much bronzer on, but really, it's all about how much you use... a little goes a long way!

I am fair skinned. I saw one of the reviewers recommend the lighter color for people with fair skin. This one is working well for me.

I have dry, olive skin and I found that the gold blended into my skin too much. I liked the more dramatic look of the pearl. I like this luminizer specifically because the finish is neither oily nor drying.

I have fair skin so I bought the pearl which is gives a silver shimmer, so I think the gold would suit you better if you have medium coloring and mostly likely tan well.
Hopes this helps

Question
Last through the day?
I love the benefit High Beam product, but it doesn't last long through the day.... I usually have to apply it 2-3 times for you to see it. So I was wondering if this luminizer last through the day?? HELP!

On me, it lasts pretty much all day, depending on how long it has been on my face. Typically I would say it lasts about 7 hours or so on me. If you want your highlighter to last even longer, I suggest applying a powder highlight over the liquid highlight to set it and intensify it. I hope this helps.

I used High Beam by Benefit and did not like it because it did not blend well and I just looked like I had spotlights on my face. Try Lorac in the Pearl color. It will blend better and is a high quality product that will last all day.

Question
Which color Lorac luminizer?
I am fair-medium complexion, green eyes and blonde hair. I wear coppery bronze shadows, goldish tones with plums or burgandies on lips. Which lumizer (Lorac L1 or L2) is for me? I do not tan and don't want to look like I'm wearing an obvious bronzer. My foundaton is a full coverage Vichy dermablend in Nude (their 3rd color up) I could go either way?? Which one will give a "glow" to my fair-medium neutral complexion?

Either one would work well on you. I myself have a light skin tone, and I own both. The one in Pearl seems to work better on me, since Gold is a little darker. But, the gold might be very complimentary to your eyes and to the shades that you wear. I hope this helps.

I use the Pearl. I've been told the other one is too bronzy. If your skin is fair to medium, then the Pearl would most likely be best for your skin tone.

Question
apple of cheek highlighter?
Is this too sheer or not "luminisque" enough to use as a highlighter on the apples of my cheeks? I was thinking of getting the pearl to give my a dewy glow.

It is def glowy enough. I would use on the bridge of your nose, cheek bone (not apples) and a little bit on your eye brow bone. They have great tutorials on you tube that demonstrate how to use a luminizer. Actually there is one for this paticular brand.

I have med skin tone, and I bought the pearl, it gives a great highlight to my cheeks. The reason I didn't get the pinkish one was because I like to control the amount of "blush color".. I use the pearl color along with nars blush, looks great! Hope this helps

I'd have to disagree. I think this product is better...free of many harsh ingredients, great bottle dispenser and the pearl is colorless. AND for just $4 more you get twice the amount!

No, high beam is superior to this product. I would not purchase this over high beam.

I mix it with my primer in the palm of my hand and then massage it in with my fingers. Some people use a sponge to dab it on cheekbones but I find it works well over the entire face once it is cut with a primer or foundation.

I have darker skin. Should I order the gold or the silver Lorac Luminizer?

I have fair skin with a slight gold tone and blue eyes. I wanted something that would add just an extra glow, so I ordered the gold Lorac luminizer. I was a bit disappointed to see just how dark it is, not just a gold luminescence. However, when I mix just a half pump of it to a double pump of my light tinted moisturizer, the comination looks just right. So, I think the gold color would work well with a darker complexion, and if it doesn't match quite well, you could add it to your foundation for an extra glow.

The pearl would be beautiful on you. My friend has dark skin she used mine and it was beautiful on her. Looks like you have natural glowing skin.

Question
Will the silver luminizer work well with fair skin?
I have a very chalky, pale complexion but struggle with looking dull. I've been really interested in this for a while, but the reviews seem to keep saying that it's better for darker skin tones. I'm assuming this is referring to the gold one, but how about the silver luminizer? Does that work well for the pale?

Hi Robinmarief,

You can definitely wear the Lorac Luminizer. It will show up as a subtle sheen on your skin. You can also mix it in with your foundation for an all over glow.
