Questions & Answers for MDSolarSciences Mineral Tinted Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 30 UVA-UVB Sunscreen

Question
Can this be worn under make up or bb/cc creams?
My derm wants me to have a higher concentration of sunscreen than most bb/cc creams provide. This has the perfect amount of the right ingredients. Is it okay to wear under a bb/cc cream or foundation? The clerk in the store indicated it would be too much with something else with silicone. I only wear bb or cc creams now as I don't need heavy coverage.

I like this sunscreen because I use it as both sunscreen and a natural foundation. It minimizes pores and leaves skin with a healthy look. You can apply and then use a foundation powder. This is also a good look. Bottom line is it can work as both.

This is a bb cream because it has such good ingredients, so you don't really need another product. It's moisturizing, tinted and has an excellent sunscreen for sensitive skin. Sometimes I put a mineral powder foundation over it for more coverage, or concealer in spots.

I wear it as the top layer over my face creams and the only thing I put on top is some concealer for my under eye circles. I also put blush over it and it doesn't blot up the power as it would if it were too greasy.

Yes, but in all honesty, I don't think you'll even need your other bb cream. This has a wonderful texture with excellent coverage and protection.

I've tried this now and love it. It provides the perfect amount of coverage for weekend wear and I love how soft it makes my skin feel. Still need to try it under my week day bb cream, but it is easy to use, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and gives me just enough coverage to make my skin look like me but better.

I have very oily and acne prone skin. I've worn this under both foundation and 2 different brands of BB cream with no problems. It's very light and works like a great primer as well as providing your SPF. If you have doubts, you can always get a sample made for you in the store. I've used both this tinted one and the regular one under makeup with very good results.

Yes! I have light skin and light blonde hair and the color was perfect. The coverage is very light so it will work with even the palest of skins.

Absolutely! I'm an Esthetician, This gives you enough protection to wear alone. This is basically a BB cream with high SPF

I agree with the other answers. I'm light/medium and cool toned (NW 20-25) and this blends in perfectly on me, but I think it will just blend away to look colorless on most skin tones. The safe thing to do of course is to get a sample in the store and check it out. If it's too dark, the untinted version is very nice as well.

Yea it does. It shows like theres a tint but once you put it on and rub it into your skin it leaves no color. Just a soft and smooth face :)

I am light-medium skin (NC 20-25) and it blended in colorless. I think the tint is more to cover up the white overcast that is associated with physical sunscreen. It did somewhat help even out redness, but not completely.

answer 3
if you need a moisturizer, I would apply it before the sunscreen. I have very oily skin so I stopped wearing moisturizer and only apply serums before putting this on my face and it protects my face enough that I don't dry out. Because it has dimethicone anything you put on top of this sunscreen will not be absorbed

I sometimes use a light moisturizer with this and I have moderately dry skin. This should be your last step after toners and moisturizers (unlike chemical sunscreens) because it is a physical sunscreen, so it's like putting a mineral blanket over the other products.

This does not moisturize, it is very similar to a primer, a smooth silicone finish and no moisture capabilities.

Moisturizer is not necessary, but if you feel that your skin needs extra moister, you can use one before the SPF.
