Questions & Answers for ALTERNA Cleanse Extend Translucent Dry Shampoo

Is this really "translucent" or is it just white powder like all the rest?
I tried this on in store and it was hard to tell if it sprayed white powder (because I tried on another white dry shampoo before it). I have black hair and it would be awesome to have a dry shampoo that didn't show up in my roots!

I have dark brown hair and I haven't noticed any residue at all from it! Even after a few hours...

Like all dry shampoo is does infact have the white powder effect.
BUT the proper way of using it goes along way in avoiding the "white" on your hair.
The best way of using it is to hold it further away and spray fast/short in the areas you need it. (quick quick quick)
That way it keeps things clear of color and you can get the results you want.
I have got the white powder in my hair by using it more like a hairspray when I first got it because I didnt know myself. For me I love this stuff if i keep the sprays short and sweet!
Good luck

It isn't like over-powered with a white spray, but it does make my roots look lighter. But I like it because I have blonde hair. Not sure how it would show up on dark hair. I notice that a lighter color only shows up when I use a lot...which I do because I like the lighter color it adds. I think it would be necessary to at least try it out tho. I really like this brand.

It sprays on clear and dries to a powdery white. The key, and what I'm not sure a ton of reviewers realize, is that you have to BRUSH IT OUT thoroughly after it turns white. Turn your head upside down, and brush it out so that the powder all falls out, taking with it the excess oil.

it is white powder (classic dry shampoos were baby powder/cornstarch). but my hair is black and it doesn't show up on me. just dont spray too close/for too long.

answer 7
Yes, there will be some powdery residue when you use it. I have dark brown hair, and I find the best way to remove it is with a boar-bristle brush, and maybe a bit of blow-drying.

It is transparent for the most part. I have brown hair with blond highlights and it does make my highlights look more vibrant. I cannot see any white powder and I use it every other day.

They shouldn't let you take this on a plane. If you put it in your shopping cart you'll see it says it's Hazmat and has to be shipped ground. See image.

Can I take this on an airplane?
When this was shipped to me it said it would be shipped UPS ground because it was considered hazmat. I would like to know if I can take this on a future trip with me.

It can go into your checked bag but not your carryon.

answer 2
This should be fine, according to the TSA, since aerosols that are for personal care are not a prohibited item. You can check it out by googling "TSA Prohibited Items." Just be sure you bring along the travel size, or you'll likely exceed your 3-1-1 limitation.

answer 3
Maybe in your checked baggage, but the normal sized bottle is too big for carry-on. Even then, like you said, aerosols are often not even allowed in checked.

Is this product animal tested?
I see that it is paragon free and eco-certified, but I need to know if it is non-animal tested.
