Guy Bourdin Holiday Collection Limited Edition One Night Stand Cheek Palette

What it is:A limited-edition cheek palette featuring iconic Orgasm Blush and Laguna Bronzing Powder, plus four additional shades inspired by legendary fashion photographer Guy Bourdin. Create modern cheek looks with the ultimate palette to pop, contour, and sculpt. This set contains:- 0.14 oz x 6 Blush in Laguna (diffused brown powder with golden shimmer), Deep Throat (flirty, sheer peach), Orgasm (peachy pink with golden shimmer), Mistinguette (bright pink), Goulue (medium pink), Devotee (highlighter) What else you need to know: Guy Bourdin’s spellbinding and cinematic narratives served as the apex of the sexually charged fashion photography of the ’70s and Francois Nars’ first inspiration to become a makeup artist. Now, NARS celebrates Bourdin’s legacy with bold, uninhibited color and high-impact finishes inspired by the audacious, high-fashion, and decadent world of Guy Bourdin.

I consider myself quite fair skinned - I'm currently wearing Bare Minerals Golden Fair foundation to give you an idea. I think this palette will continue to work exceptionally even as I get paler as the winter goes on. Go for it!

Question
Does this have the rubberized case?
I had five or six Nars palettes that I had to trash because the case coating disintegrated into a slimy mess. I don't want to repeat THAT mistake. So is the case hard plastic or more of a rubberized style? Thanks.

I waited until I saw it in person to buy it because of the typo and because it does look that small in the picture. Rest assured, it is .14 oz, almost full size. The pictures don't do it justice in terms of size and beautiful it is.

How does this palette compare to the Danmari palette?

I have both and I love both! The only same shade in both is Orgasm. Danmari included Casino bronzer instead of Laguna, and the Guy Bourdin palette has Deep Throat, and besides that the rest are limited edition shades. If you love Nars, and their amazing blushes it is always a good idea to get their blush palettes, especially when they include three limited edition blushes! go for it!

I don't own the other one but i did review and goggle it up. Comparing the two, i would choose this palette. Simple for the top three shades I find in the palette that i hear so many guru talk about. (Deep Throat, Orgasm , Laguna )

Question
Good Color Pay-Off?
Can anyone tell me if the GB Nars palette has as good of color pay-off as the original single blushes? Bc I went in store to swatch and I had to really dig to get some color! Then again, the palette is open to the public so who knows what happened to it. I did some research online and some bloggers agree that it's kinda hard to get color pay-off especially with the Laguna Bronzer in the set. Please inform me of your opionions!

AND Tarte cheek palette v.s GB Nars Cheek Palette?

AND some palettes from my Sephora says made from China???? Not from U.S/Canada like the others are saying?....

The color payoff is okay. I don't know if it's just my skin type or what, but sometimes the blushes can look a little blotchy. But overall it is a good color payoff and pretty colors. And I definitely think that it is a good value for the money you are paying, considering single blushes are pretty expensive.

Color pay-off is amazing. I have to actually be careful not to get too much on my brush. It's that good. I would get this without a doubt. There's something about Nars blushes that no other brands can do. Tarte blushes are great but I think Tarte has more conventional looks. Nars is something special.

I find some of the blushes have great colour play off... some less so. Less then I would have expected from Nars. Although I wouldn't say that I have to "dig" for colours at all. It just takes a tad more building then I would say is ideal.

Check out my review - I go into great detail re: your exact question. I own several NARS products, including their blushes, bronzers, etc. And in my opinion, it is NOT as pigmented as the single blushes and it was incredibly difficult for me to pick up pigment especially since it's supposed to be a 'value' to get this set, which for me is a waste of money seeing as I have several singles I love.

As far as this over Tarte, I would say both are beautiful palettes, especially if you're new to the brand or a makeup beginner, etc. -- but if you are a seasoned connoisseur such as myself, this year, I would have to say Tarte. The colors, bronzer, and pigmentation is incredible! And the formula stays on all day, no joke.

I don't have the Tarte blush palette but I do have about many Tarte blushes (I can think of 10 off the top of my head). The Tarte palette includes Park Avenue Princess and Dollface, two products that I already own. However, I have ZERO Nars blushes. To be honest, every time I swatched NARS blushes in store, they just didn't seem as pigmented to me. However, I always heard great things about Nars products, so I bought this palette. It includes Orgasm, Deep Throat, and Laguna, 3 cult products that I was curious to try. I also like that it includes a highlighter (the Tarte palette has no highlighter), so it's really great for travel. The blushes are really beautiful. They apply differently than Tarte. With Tarte, it can be easy to over-apply color. The blushes in this palette have the perfect amount of pigmentation because you can more easily calibrate the color to what you want. You probably can't miss with either palette, to be honest.

I use tarte blushes too but trust me NARS blushes last longer and will look sooo beautiful on your fair skin tone. I'm pretty fair myself and this palette works so good. Don't be scared of the darker blush and bronzer. NARS Laguna bronzer (the one in the palette) is perfect for light skin. You just can't go wrong with this palette, it's such a great value and you get to try so many good products.

I had read that also prior to purchasing.
When it got here, i compared swatches of my single blushers in Orgasm and Laguna, and they were exactly the same.
Someone had posted that it is possible that some of the pigment may have settled, so it will take a few uses to get the full color payoff if you don't brush away a couple of layers first. I didn't do that with my palette however, and had no issues.
