Questions & Answers for Laura Mercier Artist's Palette for Eyes

Question
This or Naked palette?
Ive been eyeing this palette online for a while and I love that it has a variety of colors and I love how the eyes are organized from lightest to deepest but I was also considered buying naked pakette because literally everyone has that palette but it only has 2 or 3 mate shades and Im afraid itll be to shimmery.

LAURA MERCIER deffinetly go for this. You can weare every single eye shade in this every day.Dark color cab be used as an eyeliner or lightly smoke out outer courner or even one of them can be used as a eyebrow filler it depends on your eyebrows color. In this palette shades have proper amount of shimmer(more on satin side) no fall out n slightly more produts so it will took longe time to finish that palette and darker colors have realy good pigmentation so u need very little produts to ues packaging is not that great but product is realy good. I wish the magnetic clouser close properly. The price is only 10$ less but 42 for this is not bad online it's sold out but check ur Sephora store some still has it I also find mine at my stoer.

I have this one and the Nked 2 and I definitely prefer this one. But, I think I have discovered that I prefer matte shades typically, so the naked is a little too shimmery. Its still a great palette, though, and it is great for a night out.

I will be returning this palette for naked. If you have fair skin, these colors are way too dark. And they all look sort of the same

I own both naked palettes and and the artist palette. Honestly, I feel UD's shadows are more pigmented but more shimmery, almost metallic. LM is more matte, the finish is more of a glimmer or sheen. I love the LM because it is easier for me to use everyday and work appropriate. If you love plums or purples, I think half of the LM leans more on the plummy side.

It's not wrapped and there is no clear plastic on the mirror. I bought several as gifts and I opened all of them to make sure they weren't broken and they were all exactly the same.

My palette was in a box without a plastic cover over the mirror or eyeshadows either. I've seen other videos on YouTube and they didn't either so I think our palettes are fine:)

Mine did not come with a plastic cover on the mirror or the shadows either. I watched the Sephora consultant bring it out from the back still in its packaging, though, so I'm confident it wasn't used.

No, not all of the shades are matte. The matte ones are violet ink, espresso bean, truffle, fresco, vanilla nuts, plum smoke. The shimmers are sparkling dew, guava, African violet, kir royal, bamboo, and primrose.

Hope this helps!

6 of the colors are matte. The colors are vanilla nuts, fresco, plum smoke, truffle, violet ink, and espresso bean. Violet ink and espresso bean, in my opinion, look darker in real life compared to the picture.

Question
Primrose and Fresco same shimmery color?
Hi. I was just wondering if any of you received the palette having the Fresco with shimmer, which is supposed to be a matte color (according to the box and youtube/blog swatches?)

Thanks, that's what I thought... I think my palette had some factory defect. As you can see on the photo, Fresco is shimmery instead of a matte and looks exactly the same as Primrose. Kind of disappointed about it. I did call CS and they'll send me a replacement.

Fresco is a warm, matte brown and Primrose is definitely a lighter, shimmery brown with almost a slight pinkish hue.

CA? Canada? It's out in Nova Scotia... just call your local store to make sure.. it should be on the shelf now.. grab it before it's gone... limited edition!

If they don't have it yet make sure you put your name on a waiting list.. then they'll hold it for you when they come in :)

It is also available through LM's website direct. I just purchased mine and pulled out the first that was discontinued earlier in the year. Some of the colors are repeats (2-3) and the rest are new. Some lovely plums this year!
