Thanks to the FDA most of the products we use have some minimal testing and generally avoid irritating ingredients. I've used this on the inner eye with no problem and no smear. You'll need to test it on yourself to be sure that your body won't "react." No product is without the ability to bother some people.

You have to sharpen it. The pencil part is similar to UD's 24/7 pencils with a tightly wound paper casing for the pigment.

This pencil needs sharpening but it is without doubt the best eyeliner out there if you prize "stay put and no smear" above all else. It also goes on easily with no tug. Just wish they had more colors!

You do have to sharpen the pencils. I use a Beautique metal makeup pencil sharpener made in Germany- it gets everything I have that needs to be sharpened.

Straight off the pencil will give you a thicker line. You might be able to achieve a thinner line with a liner brush, just depends on how thin of a line you want.

Hi! I just posted a review and reference this issue. YES. This smudges like crazy onto contacts. I can't wear this when wearing contacts at all. It's really miserable hahah.

You can sharpen it to a fine line, but it might smudge a bit. I use it very sparingly on my lower lash line.

Pretty good defined line. Will have to sharpen every use in order to get that fine defined line. And probably tight line.

Question
My issue is twofold.
My first problem is that I'm not able to see without my glasses. I have tried a mirror for magnifying but it's still hit or miss. Any suggestions?
The other problem I have is with eyebrows. They are quite thin and I've stopped coloring my hair. So, now my hair is grey with some white on the sides. What color would you use? I've tried several ways to make them look thicker and looking natural but they never look natural. When you have grey hair your eyebrows aren't really brown anymore and I'm not sure what color you'd call them. Any hints for natural looking and thicker brows?

I would NOT use this eyeliner as a replacement for a good brow powder. For gray hairs, I think powders work better (they cling to the hair a bit) and if you go lighter than you think, you can still get a very natural looking outcome. I would personally recommend checking out Anastasia's brow POWDERS. The pencils will not be as good for filling in if you need to hide white hair. The gels are a little too harsh. Check out the powders. I think the result will be the most "natural" looking. Good luck!
