Question
Price on the box?
I've bought other limited edition sets, and the price was on the box, and not removable. Is that the case with this?

I don't remember the price being on this box, but I also thought the packaging was unappealing for this recipient, so I gifted it with just the pink inside box. Looked great and went over well!

I picked this up in store, but I know what you're talking about. This one does not have a sticker with the price on it, so it's perfect for gifting.

It's an easily removable sticker with no residue or marring to the box:)

answer 4
The price is shown on the box as $25 USD and $30 CAD. As I am in Canada, I paid, $30 plus applicable taxes. It is the price as shown on the box. Unfortunately, the $25 is more prominent on the box than the $30, but it's still on the same tag. In the checkout line, it also shows the price in your country on the little black cue card on the shelf.

Not, they are all sample sizes, but generous portions. I think each item would last for about a month with daily wear.

I had recently gone through and looked at all the sizes of the individual products on Sephora to see how good of a deal this is.
It is a great deal!!
Full size products on Sephora: Laura Mercier 0.15oz, Buxom 0.15oz, Nars 0.28oz, Sugar 0.15 oz, Bite 0.09oz, and Tarte 0.1oz.

So the Tarte is a full size and the others are 1/2 the size of the full price item or bigger.

Update on my previous answer - the Tarte one is full size - the others are a bit smaller than full size but still big enough to last awhile!

No, these are not full size - they are "travel" size. So bigger than free samples that you normally get with Sephora purchases.

I bought the lip kit last year as well and I am still using them.

They are probably about 1/3 the regular size.

Question

Do the pink glosses (laura mercer and mars) look good on light-medium to medium asian skin tones?

answer 1
I am light-medium Asian skin toned and I found both glosses too pale to wear alone but would be wearable over lipstick. I like the LM better because it's a little darker and more natural looking. The Nars is like a cotton candy pink. I'm not normally a fan of super pale lips though.

I can't speak to the Laura Mercier, but the NARS in Turkish Delight looks great on friends with similar skin tones.

Absolutely! All these "colors" would be great for any skin tone as they are pretty much all barely there lip tones. All are basically in the "just a hint" range -- with some variety in finish etc. Really great assortment!!!!!!!

Question
Gifting?
I want to buy this for a friend who is obsessed with lip products. But, she has told me before that she isnt too fond of lip glosses or shimmery/sparkle-y lip products either. I dont want to get her something she wouldnt like but i also dont want to pass up the opportunity. So, my question is, are the glosses sticky, uncomfortable or unpleasant to wear, and are the sparkle-y products in this set really noticeable while on, do they linger on your lips and is are the sparkles heavy or have an pleasurable texture? also as a side note, my friend hasnt really ever had high end makeup, only products from drug stores but did like the sephora brand lip gloss.

answer 3
They are stickier than I'd chose but only 3 of them are actually sticky, one is a hydrating balm and the others are really nice. Honestly I use every single one and I'm not a sticky, glittery lip gloss person. I love them, but since they are sticky they only stay on my face until I wipe it off. I would still buy this deal again.

I love this set but it is not for your friend. The glosses are sticky and the sheer ones are shimmery. So if she doesn't like shimmery or sticky then no. But for me these glosses were not too sticky and spread nicely.

I would not say that this is an over sparkly set! I do feel like it has a lot of extreme colors so she will get the most use out of it if she likes to wear a strong lip ( they have some neutrals but the majority are not for the shy at heart!)

I'm olive skin, medium brown in other words and i was surprised that the colors went well with my skin tone especially with pinks like the gloss from Nars, i was thinking it wasn't going to look good since its a very light pink but all of them worked well..So i would say they would go well with your skin tone...

5 of these products are not opaque, THEY BLEND with your lip's natural color; only the Bite might cover your natural lip color. they are totally natural nearly naked shades and i think they'd be universally flattering on any skin tone / lip color. I like the Buxom, Tarte, and Sugar Rose best. the Nars & Laura Mercier might be too light/milky on tan or darker skin tones. (see my review 8/28 for more details.)

I am Latina, fair with yellow undertones and lips that are naturally a dark pink shade. The Nars and Laura Mercier products do not go well with my coloring, but I love how the Bite and Tarte products look. The Fresh product shows up slightly and acts more like a tinted lip balm on me. Hope this helps!
