beautyblender beautyblender&reg pure&reg

What it is: A colorless, edgeless, non-disposable, sponge made especially for sensitive skin and skincare application. What it does: beautyblender&reg pure&reg is designed to ensure optimal application of the most advanced skincare products. Leave the old method of applying product with fingers behind and say goodbye to spotty coverage, less penetration of product in key areas (eyes, nose, etc.), and dirt traveling over freshly cleansed skin. Use it with complexion products, serums, eye treatments, moisturizers, makeup removers, and any other skincare product. What else you need to know: Beautyblender features an open cell structure that fills with small amounts of water when wet. This allows the sponge to be “full” so that the product sits on top of the sponge rather than being absorbed, allowing you to use less product every time. When wet, beautyblender doubles in size and becomes even softer, returning to its original size when it air dries. Handcrafted in the USA.

Question
How many times can the Beauty Blender be reused?
It says in the description that it is reusable but how many times can it be washed/reused? How long does it last?

Typically it is supposed to last 3 months, but I've heard that it lasts longer if you take good care of it. So, as long as you wash it after every time you apply makeup, I think it's safe to say that it's good for another 3..so 6 months. So, once a year. LOL

you can use the sponge untill it starts to break, you will notice the surface starting to peel off a little. Thats a sign that your beauty blender needs to be replaced. Dont forget you can check out their website, they have a recycling program for them

I use mine for 2 or 3 months and then throw them out. There is a cleaner you can buy that may make them last longer , but I have an issue with one of the ingredients. ( do not even recall which one -might have been fragrance or lavendar) so I just rinse mine very well.

Question
New "Pure" different from the original?
I've been wanting to purchase the original pink beauty blender and just noticed this new one. Is there a difference other than the colors? Maybe size? They are both priced the same.

It is just a colorless version, same size and shape as the original. I believe the beautyblender Pro is shaped a little differently.

The only difference is the color. Everything else is exactly the same as the original Beauty Blender.

A year or so ago I called the company that makes this and asked this question because I thought the white one might be different from the pink. I was told they are exactly the same except for the color. I bought the white because I avoid dyes when I can and had heard there was an issue with the pink dye transferring onto skin when product was applied.

The Beauty Blender would work well with tinted moisturizer. It works with primer, moisturizer, BB and CC creams, and foundation.

It is just a colorless version of the pink beautyblender. And just like the original, it is washable. I recommend using the beautyblender solid cleanser to wash it.

Question
Is it normal for the round end to be lopsided?
Just wondering because it looks really oddly cut at the bottom. Almost as if someone just cut a slice off from the bottom. It's not completely round like my previous beauty blender and it's really bothering me (OCD).

I don't think it's normal for the blender to be lopsided although it probably wouldn't make a huge difference, as far as application.

You might have gotten one that has been defected? Its the same shape as an egg. And once you wash it with water, it expands and gets fluffy ready to use but this shouldn't make it look like a piece was cut off. Hope that helps! xoxo

Question
Does it get gross looking after extended use?
I currently have the pink beautyblender and love it, but when the time comes to replace it, I would like to replace it with this dye free version due to my sensitive skin. The only thing I'm concerned about is the white starting to look gross and dingy after a while. I have the solid beautyblender cleanser, which cleans my pink well, but I just don't know how it will look on white.

Makeup vs Skin Care
Can you use the same blender for both skin care and make-up application, or would it be better to have 2 separate blenders?

You can, but I use seperate ones, just because if you miss any color when washing. Then you have transfer, I just find seperate blenders work better for me

I personally would use two, just because you'd have to wash it a lot more.. but since with each wash it is sterile then you can most definitely use one for both purposes!
