This might be perfect for a 17-year-old, but I would be careful as it starts to dry so that you don't pull your skin. Start with damp skin. :-)

I think this would be a great product for you. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, and I love it. Also - a great investment is the Clarisonic brush to clean your skin - I've noticed a big difference since using it. Use the "delicate" brush head with acne-prone skin.

I think so-as long as you not sensitive-my daughter will use it and she is 16. Good luck! It is a wonderful product!

wouls say yes, using it gently should work, its not too drying or harsh and the clay does the trick as afar as blemishes.

Mine tends to be dry as well. This mask doesn't dry out my skin. I use a spray Murad toner afterwards and a serum before bed.

answer 2
Though everyone's skin responds differently to products, I think generally this would be fine for aging skin. The exfoliating element is almost unnoticeable, so it shouldn't be too tough on your skin. Otherwise it's a pretty gentle mask, though there is a slight tingling to it.

I would not use it as a mask then, maybe as a detox wash or scrub to really clean. If you don't have any issues with your pores then don't upset your delicate balance!

This mask tends to pull your skin as it dries. I would not recommend it for older skin.

I personally would not use this on dry skin. I have oily skin and felt it was drying. It was a little harsh on my sensitive skin so I would not try it on dry skin.

According to their website, the clay is Amazonian.

On the ingredients listing, you'll see the clay listed as bentonite and kaolin. Hope this helps!

I noticed that too! I have not asked Tarte because it works so well. I hope they listed it under a "latin root" name! I did see the clay in the ingredients list -just not Amazonian.

Suggested Usage:
-On cleansed, damp skin, use fingertips to apply a dime-size amount onto the face, avoiding the under eye area.
-Massage mask in circular motions to re-energize, exfoliate, and detoxify skin.
-Leave on face for five minutes or until the treatment dries.
-Remove thoroughly with warm water, then rinse skin with cool water and pat dry.

Question
acne prone skin?
Hi. I have had acne problems since I was a young teen. I am now using Clinique, which has definitely made my skin better. However, now I am curious to branch out to other brands for certain items. I have heard good things about this product but have not heard anything regarding acne. I would like to know other consumer's experiences with this item before I spend the ridiculous amount of $38 on this item. Thank you in advance.

Definatly try it! I love this- it exfoliates and really helps tighten pores after it cleans them out. Just beware- be gentle when going through the exfoliting process- it can be a little rough. The clay works wonders.

According to the box, they are jojoba beads. They are perfectly round and very gentle - not scratchy or irritating like some seeds/husks/shells.

Hi there, if you are already using a benzoyl peroxide cleanser, you should continue to use that daily and use this product 1-2 times a week to avoid excessive drying. Thanks!
