Question
Mineral oil is the 1st ingredient, isn't this a bad thing?
I have heard story after story for years about how bad mineral oil is for your skin.... And am surprised that that is the first ingredient in this highly rated, super expensive product. I have been avoiding it for years but have heard so many good things about this, Is there something I am missing?

Mineral oil has been proven noncomedogenic time and again (that means it does not clog pores). If you look at the ingredient list of just about any topical medication you will see it because it is one of the least reactive ingredients in the world. Keep in mind that as a cleanser you are leaving very little behind on your skin anyway, especially if you are following the instructions.

Since it was introduced 26 years ago, our Cleanser has won more awards and accolades than any other and continues to be a global best seller. The original balm cleanser, it’s a formula that has often been copied but never matched in its ability to remove every last trace of makeup and truly transform the complexion. Essentially hand made using a unique eight step process, we blend our signature four essential oils, Clove, Eucalyptus, Hops and Chamomile with the highest grade, purified mineral oil to dissolve make-up and deeply cleanse the skin without stripping or upsetting its natural PH balance. To achieve this rivaled cleanse, our formula utilizes the best from nature combined with scientifically developed ingredients such as Mineral Oil to ensure our botanicals are stable and can perform at their best on the skin.

answer 3
If you are OK paying this much with the first ingredient being a cheap synthetic nonbeneficial oil then go ahead. Mineral oil CAN clog pores, and even if it doesn't it WILL prevent your skin from receiving enough oxygen, not a good thing! This is a fact. (Oh but it's what makes skin so "soft".) For this price they certainly should use a beneficial, breathable plant based oil, there are so many!

Absolutely! Either massage Cleanser into dry skin and then wet your Clarisonic brush before buffing skin. Or use Cleanser on wet skin allowing it to emulsify, then buff with your Clarisonic. Finishing by rinsing with water or use the enclosed Muslin Cloth to remove any Cleanser from your skin. Revealing flawlessly clean and beautifully radiant skin.

We recommend laundering your Muslin Cloth every two uses. Especially if you use to remove make-up. Cloths can be laundered by hand or in a washer and can either be air dried or put in a dryer. We sell Muslin Cloths in a pack of three so that you can have spares to rotate for ease of use. Once your cloths become super soft, we recommend replacing them so that you continue to benefit from the exfoliation they provide.

I found it was much more convenient to purchase an additional cloth, this way I can use one for a few days then when it's dirty I just toss it in the wash with my other whites (dryer as well) and already have a second cleansing cloth ready to go!
When I bought my first container of this I purchased the smaller one (in case I didn't like it) and it came with a small cleansing cloth. When it came to repurchase I sprang for the large container and was surprised that the cloth that is included with that one is double the size of the one included with the smaller container. I think one could probably cut the larger one in half if they wanted to make two cleansing cloths. (Although I would recommend sewing the cut side to prevent the ends from fraying.)

Yes there is always a muslin cloth included and you can buy them from Eve Lom, too. As a substitute, a man's cotton handkerchief would be good. And if your skin isn't sensitive, a washcloth would also work. (In Britain people don't use washcloths, so including a cloth with this cleanser is essential there to employ the method recommended.)

Our Cleanser can definitely help decongest skin. Containing a unique blend of four essential oils, ECALYPTUS oil is mildly antiseptic and acts as a decongestant that helps to drain the lymph nodes. HOPS oil also helps to encourage clear skin. For blackheads use of the Muslin Cloth will also help. By holding the warm cloth over skin you will open pores, allowing surface dirt and any congestion to be gently buffed away.

Yes - I found it helped my acne/blackheads greatly! I use it twice a week as a deep cleanse and it has really balanced my skin out. However I'd suggest a pre-cleanse to take off any makeup, etc before using (then the ingredients can really get deep down into your skin) and then really taking at least 5 min to massage the product into your skin.

I first tried this product as part of the travel kit and that tiny size lasted me forever. I can't see why it would go bad even after a long time. I just now bought the largest size simply because it's such a better value and this is a really expensive cleanser! I don't anticipate a problem but I'll have to wait and see.
