Venom is a beautiful fall colour and great for medium to olive skin tones...if you are fairer in skintone, you could still get away with it as it's a beautiful rich plum raspberry colour.

Depending on the color you choose, with the brighter colors it helps if you do as it helps outline and shape your lips plus it gives a base for which to apply the lipstick. It's just to obtain a smoother look.

You don't have to, but I find it stays put more if you do, especially with a darker color.

Not necessarily, but the liners do help with wear, plus they also prevent the lipstick from sliding off the edges of your lips (especially the darker colors) since it's a cream lipstick.

answer 4
No, but a lip liner helps to keep your lip line defined. With deeper colors you should usually opt for one, especially considering that lip liners help keep your color in place longer.

I tried it with and without liner doing the same activities...drinking, eating, giving my husband a smootch. I'm a believer in the liner. I do think that you just need one a bit browner than your natural color and that should work for most shades.

Hi Moni0493,

Lip Liners are great to add more pigment and make the lip color last longer!

answer 7
No you don't... but with darker colors I like to wear one for more precision. The darker colors are very pigmented and opaque so you don't need a lip liner for coverage reasons.
I like to use a nude lip liner with some lighter colors, because my lips are pigmented and makes the lighter colors look nicer/more true. But this would be up to your preference.

What color should I choose?
Hi, I have light skin with medium brown hair and brown eyes. I want a nude pink everyday color, but without being pale that will wash me out. Thanks in advance.

Streak is my absolute fav lipstick. It's a corally light pink, not too bright. A good pop tho. I wear it most days and can be dressed up for night.

I have really fair skin, dark brown hair and it works.

Hope this helps you!

In my opinion any shade of the Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks will look good on the combination of light skin, brown eyes and medium brown hair, but since you're asking for a nude-pink tone, I think the best would be Liar (a little more nude than pink) or Native (a little more pink than nude) They are both in the range of a nude-pink shade. Of course, it is always best to go to a Sephora or any store and test the products or swatch them to help you choose the color that you are looking for or the color that makes you feel more comfortable wearing. Hope this is helpful, chica! ;)

I love to help people out with color choices but nudes are are difficult to choose online. Naked is a pretty nude with a peach undertone. Without knowing your skintone makes it even harder to narrow your selection. Your best bet on any nude selections are best made in person.

Question
What shade is best for me?
I have a light-medium complexion (I have Ecuadorian skin that tans really easily), green eyes, and medium brown hair. I'm not sure which colors would look best on me and accentuate my features. I've read that nude colors with brown tones would be my best bet, but I would like someone's opinion.

http://www.musingsofamuse.com/2013/07/urban-decay-revolution-lipstick-review.html Go to that URL, google the new line to see the swatches on different lips. Just wear what you like. If you're not sure, go to a drugstore where you can return cosmetics and get a lipstick the same or similar. Who knows, you might end up liking it so much that you don't return it.

You may like Fiend and Naked or Naked2. I like Liar too but for a nude, Naked2 looked better on me. I would go to the store and try them on your lips (not hand swatch). Start with the lightest and go up to the darkest because they tend to stain (my lips at least). I have the same issue finding nudes/pinks that look well with my skin tone. Good luck!

Native is very pretty, it's a perfect mix between pink and nude so you don't look dead. It doesn't wash me out, and I think on someone with a darker complexion could really make this color pop.

Hello there, Hopefully I can help you!

We all got different taste in lipsticks, before I start I would say that you're best bet would be looking up at sephora and swatch them, but ill try to give you an advice on what is good, Personally I own cat fight and its just wow, its that classic red with a touch of dark pink, I feel like its less "harsh" than the classic red lips. Because not everybody can wear a nice red lip, something with an undertone could help, so I would suggest you cat fight for its red with a dark pink undertone or 69 which is even more red but still got a pink tone! Hope this help :)

if you're referring to the larger color pencils, the color is true, but the lipstick is waaaaaay more moisturing, and longer-wearing.

The Super Saturated High Gloss Colour has a lot more slip, and didn't wear nearly as long (on my lips). I also would say that the Revolution lipstick is more of a satin finish, whereas the UD HGC seemed more of something in-between lipstick and lipgloss.

This is not at all glossy - it's a creamy, matte(ish) texture. It's sticky like the sticks but not as long lasting. I strongly prefer the super saturated gloss sticks to the new lipstick.

For me, it seems that the lipsticks are much more pigmented. Also, I had the Super-Saturated Lipcolor from the Glinda Palette and I was allergic to something in it. I don't have that problem with the lipsticks.
