Questions & Answers for Shiseido IBUKI Purifying Cleanser

Question
Is this safe for daily use?
This isn't indicated in the small brochure that comes with the product, nor is it online. Just curious if it's okay to use daily due to the exfoliant nature? Or is the exfoliation safe for daily use?

I use this cleanser daily; the exfoliation is so gentle, it does not irritate the skin. The lather is so foamy, my face just feels great afterward.

I am using it on daily basis, the exfoliation is very mild imo, the particles are not too many and they are quite "soft".

Yes, it is very gentle. You can barely feel the beads. I use day and night sometimes in between. (if i'm going out and i need to reapply my makeup)

Absolutely! I use mine daily with my clarisonic and my skin absolutely loves it! The exfoliant is not very coarse or rough and your skin wont be affected by using it daily, unless you have SUPER sensitive skin. I honestly don't even feel the exfoliation when I use my clarisonic.

I've been using it for a few days, day and night, with zero irritation. The foam is REALLY rich and the granules feel smooth (ie, no jagged edges but still effective).

I can help in answering this question by letting you know that it does not have a granule texture. It's very smooth and just a small amount lathers a lot. I have oily and acne prone skin and I have not seen it cause any irritation.

It has exfoliating micro-granules in it. I don't use the Calrisonic with face washes that have granuales in them, but it's up to you.

Hello, I use sunscreen and I notice that it removes it just fine. However, when it comes to eye makeup I find that I have to use a separate product to help with the removal.

The micro-granules does help to remove make up and lotions but it wouldn't be tough enough to remove everything I use this cleanser with my Clarisonic Mia and that really takes off everything the Clarisonic is absolutely amazing and paired with this I couldn't be happier my skin glows. You should definitely get the Clarisonic I guarantee your face will have never felt cleaner.

What are the micro beads made of?
It says it contains "beads." I want to make sure they aren't the plastic kind that pollute the ocean. Thanks!

Sorry to say, the ingredients list Polyethylene...so it's exactly the stuff that passes through water systems and pollutes and poisons fish.
Philosophy's Microexfoliating Wash uses natural granules and is much finer, like sand. It is gentle enough for every morning.

I wouldn't just trust a cleanser to remove all of your makeup. For insurance I would just go back with your makeup removing cleanser, or a micellar water.

This product is not marketed to remove makeup, though it does an amazing job at removing impurities from the skin. I highly recommend taking the time to remove any makeup before using this as to benefit as much as possible!
