I have pretty short thick lashes, and I don't think this mascara works. I have huge issues with it clumping (the second I pull out the wand it's already got clumps), and it really isn't doing much of anything to add length. I was happier with "they're real" from benefit.

I have very thin, short lashes and this product works extremely well for me. I would highly recommend it. The volumizing factor is outstanding.

I do too - I think it works pretty well. It's a bit clumpy but if you work with it, there are no other complaints I'd have - It's comfortable, consistent, long lasting, and honestly it volumizes, lengthens, and really intensifies my small eyes. Try it! Nothing from bareMinerals is a "bad" product! It's TOTALLY worth the money!

The brush on this one is pretty thick, I would HIGHLY recommend their Flawless Definition mascara-- it has a small brush and buildable formula. It is MUCH better than this formula!!

Yes I have very small and sparse eyelashes and it makes me look like I'm wearing false eyelashes. it's only $18.00 and if you buy it at Sephora and you don't like it you can return it

They do! The texture of this mascara base is waxy so it lengthens your lashes. It also curls very well.

It doesn't. I've tried both and without a doubt will be going back to "they're real" after trying this.

I liked this one a lot better than the benefit they're real mascara. This one gave more volume.

I compared the two mascaras back to back and hands down Lash Domination is better. You can get similar results, but They're Real can clump lashes together more so and they look slightly brittle. There is zero clumping with Lash Domination and it has amazing lengthening power. I absolutely love it!

"They're real" has more clumps and it gives you a hard stiff lashes (spider lashes)

It's better - I just switched and love lash domination! Better coverage, length and volume but does not leave my lashes stiff like They're Real did. Give it a try - you won't be dissappointed.

I feel that this formula is a little bit more flexible so you can build and add more volume on the lashes continuously. Its So Real will dry quickly so when attempting to build it will slightly flake and clump.

This mascara is not advertised as waterproof, but as far as I have been able to tell, it is. It does not smudge during the day, and I use makeup remover to be sure I get it all off at night.

I loved the Buxom mascara, but walked into the store hoping to find a waterproof Buxom or similar. I was told about the Bare Minerals Top Coat, which makes it waterproof. They also showed me the new Lash Domination. After trying an application on my left eye and compared it to my right eye (non-mascara), I had to even both eyes AND buy the new Lash Domination. It's almost as good as having lash extensions. :)

No it is not. And I've noticed that if you sweat quite a bit or are exposed to hot humidity (think steam from cooking or heavy muggy weather) it will start to run and give you that black eye/raccoon look.

Question
Does this have sulfate in it or not?
So in the description it says that it has no sulfate but then in the ingredients it lists sodium laureth sulfate. Which one is it and why would there be sulfate in a mascara anyway?

So I called Sephora customer service and they attempted to contact BE to figure it out but didn't get an answer yet, but they said since its listed in the ingredients to assume its there. The Sephora representative also was baffled as to why SLS is in a mascara! She did say they would look into it further so maybe we'll find out more!

I have exactly the same question! Why is there SLS in mascara? And how can it say there aren't any sulphate when clearly it's listed in the ingredients? Got a sample & trusted it to not have carcinogens coming from BE and tried it out & loved the effect, but was disappointed to see the SLS in the ingredients!

According to Peta, Bare Minerals does not test their products on animals. It is made by Bare Escentuals. http://features.peta.org/cruelty-free-company-search/cruelty_free_companies_company.aspx?Com_Id=574&Donottest=-1&Product=Cat_3&Dotest=-1&RegChange=-1&Country=-1&Keyword=

BareMinerals states that they do not test on animals and do not work with any manufacturers that test on animals. The parent company (Bare Escentuals) is also on PETA's Do Not Test list.
