Questions & Answers for Marc Jacobs Beauty Remedy Concealer Pen

Question
compare to YSL touche eclat?
I'm a long time user of the original shade of touche eclat. I like the pinkish hue over my underwater concealer as well as face brightening. Can anyone tell my their opinion comparing the two?

I've used both and I think this product helps conceal a bit more, but it's still very brightening. The YSL pen does have a bit more pink to it, but I think the texture and overall tone of the color on the MJ Remedy pen is better. The consistency is a bit thinner and it truly just never creases. It's worth a try!

This is MUCH better than YSL & Givenchy! I had a quickly foundation makeover done & was color matched. The sales assoc/make up artist used the Marc J foundation & this as both highlighter and concealer. It is a dream when used with a brush correctly. I have gotten many compliments and my skin is flawless. Very impressed.

touche eclat is a brightener, not a true concealer, altho many use it to conceal. this is a concealer. i wouldn't use it over anything.

The Marc Jacobs product is more of a concealer, the Touche Éclat more of a highlighter.

How long does one tube last?
$40 is a lot for only 0.08 oz and I wanted to know if it lasted long enough to make it worth the money?

Well, I will say that the amount that comes out with a click, it takes me two days/applications to use. As far as price, I think it is on the higher side. The only reason I would say it is worth the price is because I am getting a nice coverage, yet my fine lines are not enhanced, they are actually blurred. The MJ's foundation and this concealer make me look like I am in my 30's and I am in my 40's. To me, that is makes it worth $10-20 more than products that look cake-like and show off those unwanted lines.

I only got about 3 months worth out of my tube, but I apply makeup maybe 3 or 4 days out of the week, so if you use it more often you'd most likely get even less time out of it.

I'm using a single click of product on each eye each day and getting very good coverage over my 52-year-old dark circles and wrinkles. At this rate I expect it to last for 3+ months. Given the quality of the coverage I'll be satisfied if it only lasts for 2 months.

It would only last you about 4 months depending on how you use it I recommend getting a sample try it out and see if it creases too if u want a different alternative you can go with bare minerals eye brightened in well rested it's brightening and doesn't crease

I just kept clicking until the first bit came out. I will admit that it way too many clicks for my taste. After that, you may only need to click it once, maybe twice, to get the amount needed for a day or two.

I had the same problem. You have to click it a lot more than you think you have to. But it does finally come out.

You may have a defective product. If it's your first use then yes keep clicking on, it takes a while. (my first time, it took a long time to come as well) If it still doesn't come out i'd contact sephora and see what they can do for you.

It took me about 100 clicks to get any product out too. I also shook it towards the applicator end & it finally came out. I did think mine was broken at 1st but it just took awhile to start it, works great now.

I have very fair skin and I own 0 Bright Idea and 00 Stand Corrected. I use them both as correctors because they are dark and have such great coverage. I use NARS Radiant Concealer in Chantilly (which matches my skin tone perfect) on top to get my true color! I only use the Marc Jacobs pens for the under eye area and I have no problems with any cakiness! It works like a dream!!

Well, it depends on if you have pink, yellow or neutral undertones. I am very fair skin, platinum blonde hair, and blue eyes and I went with 1 Rendezvous because I do not have pink undertones (if you do, use 0 Bright Idea) and I do not have yellow undertones (if you do, use 00 Standard Corrected). I will be honest and tell you, had I not gone into the store and tried them, by the picture online, I would have selected 00 and it would have been too yellow for me. You should probably do the same since you are also so fair.

Question
What color?
I'm fair skinned with pink undertones, and horrible dark circles under my eyes (my derm even recommended silicone injections to help with the circles...I'm not ready to go that drastic!). Really don't want to trek to the Sephora store, but it's really hard to tell the colors online. I recently ordered Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer in Fair 1. I also use YSL Touche Éclat in 2.5 and have also use Benefit Boi-ing in 01. Anyone have any color recommendations? I was thinking 0 Bright Idea, or 1 Rendevous, But it almost looks like I could also wear 2 Wake up Call or 3 Up All Night. Any Suggestions? Thanks!

Up All Night definitely has more yellow undertones, so I wouldn't go for that one. Bright idea is universal, and it's a peach tone, so it would probably work best to cancel out dark circles.

Question
Coverage???
Is this concealer pen considered to be - *full-coverage*; *medium-coverage* or *sheer-coverage*?

I have very dark purple under eye circles, so I need a fuller coverage.

I get medium coverage with a single click under my eyes, which works on most days. But on my owl-eyes days (after a bad night of sleep or long hours in front of a computer screen) I can build the coverage by adding another half click or full click; at the end of that I look awake and natural. Hope that helps.

I would say that its more of a medium coverage. On days when I have dark circles, I usual use a Bobbie Brown color corrector underneath.

Question
What color?
I have already tried Marc Jacobs Lacquer Lip Vinyl, Precision Pen and Mascara and absolutely love them! I have read the reviews on the Remedy Concealer Pen and would love to try it. I have always had dark circles and bags under my eyes, I just don't know what color to get. I am currently using Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer - 002 Beige. I was thinking "1" Rendezvous - any suggestions?
