The color is buildable. The travel size is much smaller than the full size, so I can understand if people are going lightly. I have been able to re-apply until I get the intensity I want. That said, I am also fair and it looks like folks with darker skin tones may have a different experience.

I feel that these are lightly pigments, possibly medium, but they are buildable. I initially put it on fairly lightly for some color, then used it darker for a night event. I loved both looks.

The pigmentation for the coral one at least (cuz that's the only one I've tried so far since I just got it, like, 10 minutes ago) is actually really nice on both the lips and the cheeks. It's nice and sheer on the cheeks, maybe because I used a lighter hand after seeing how bright it is on my pale mauve-y pink lips. And Twinkle, the colorless golden one is really nicely shimmery, not glittery, and definitely not oily! by the way, both of them (and I'm guessing the other two as well) have a somewhat strong lemony-gingery smell/taste, and it tingles on my lips. I personally love it, but some may be turned off by it.
The pigment shows up more on cheeks than lips. Kinda like a creamy balm on lips that needs to be reapplied. Cheeks only need one application. It feels so moisturizing and smells good on lips.
I love these! Great, long lasting color. I got the rose colored one in a set and it's sooo pretty. It also feels really nice on. You forget it's there :) I'm going to be grabbing this set soon as well because I'd like to try more colors. Hope that helps a little.
