Questions & Answers for Benefit Cosmetics Rockateur

Question
How does this blush compare to Nars Orgasm?
I currently use Nars Orgasm blush, and while I like it, I am looking for something new. I love Benefit products, and have used Coralista in the past. In comparison to Orgasm, this looks more mauve, and less pink. I'm curious about color and wearability versus Orgasm. I don't want to buy a product that is the same as Orgasm, and would actually like this if it is less pink. I have fair skin and medium brown hair.

I also use Orgasm and when in Sephora they used this color on my cheeks instead. It has more brown in it and a great color for the winter months since it's not as bright as orgasm. When putting it on they used it on my cheeks and a little below which contours your cheeks without using bronzer. I've made the switch and glad that I did! I have light/medium skin with green eyes.

This blush is very different from Nars Orgasm. First, the colors are not the same, Orgasm is more coral/peach and Rockateur is more mauve/dark pink. Also the formulation is different. Orgasm is not as creamy as Rockateur. Rockateur is buttery to the touch and I feel like Orgasm has a bit of a coarse feel to it. I feel like Orgasm is a summery color and Rockateur can be used more in the fall/winter months. Both blushes are beautiful and I have and use both of them.

The rockateur is more of a rose gold and the nars orgasm is more of pinkish tone all two blushes are great I have both but they are totally different in color wise

If you're looking for colour payoff, this won't be the product for you. If you're looking for a new blush with great colour options, TARTE is amazing. Their amazonian clay blushes are fabulous and come in a great range of colours. The Rockateur is so sheer that its difficult to build up and is more of a layering product.

If you like Orgasm, I bet you'll love this. It's more of a Rose Gold (hints of peach) where Orgasm is a Pinky Peach with subtle gold sheen through it.
This is much more luminous.

Question
Why is everyone leaving a negative review on price
READ THE DESCRIPTION! It clearly states the weight of the item. Sephora please take those reviews down. They are not actual reviews and it's against the review guidelines. Can someone please give a review of the actual PRODUCT. Shade, color pay off, ease of application, wear time... Thank you

Good point! There is a significant amount of product in the pan and I think that it's a fair price. Benefit is not cheap and if you don't like it, don't buy it. As for the review :). THe blush is beautiful It is a mauve/dusty rose color. Very creamy and has good pigmentation. It has a very natural look to it and I feel like it will complement most skin tones. It is not very shimmery on the skin even though it looks like it has a lot of shimmer in the pan. Overall, i think its a beautiful blush and very appropriate for the fall/winter months.

I think rose gold is the perfect description of the color. It's not pink, not quite a straight rose color, not quite a coral color, something in between, truly rose gold. It's a light rosy color with warmer tones. It has just a hint of shimmer but not shimmer shimmer shimmer. I have fair skin with neutral to slightly warm undertones, and I think it looks quite nice and natural if a touch more cora/warml than I would like. Wear time seems fine to me. I don't notice it fading, but colors tend to darken on me throughout the day as the rest of my foundation fades.

To answer your question, the color payoff is a very natural looking golden rose color, which I imagine would be absolutely gorgeous on all but the deepest skin tones. Wear is about average for a Benefit Box o' Powder, which for me is about 6 hours before it starts to fade away (of course I'm also using a primer underneath which would make a difference) If you like a bright pop of color, you would be better of with Bella Bamba. This one to me is more rosy, and subtle. Perfect for the "natural" look which has gotten so popular in the last few years.

I think that those reviews are very important to consumers and should be left up. Price per unit is something I take into account when buying anything ( food, paper goods , makeup etc.) and since there is not a clear distinction in the blushes packing or advertising( meaning it is packaged the same, priced the same and sold next too other blushes that hold more blush ) people are not realizing that the cost per unit is different than a typical Benefit blush.. I personally didn't buy this blush after reading reviews about the size, because the packaging and price led me to believe it was the same as all the other blushes. Only after reading the reviews did I realize I would be getting less product for my $28 and I saved myself from making a poor purchase.

I find Rockateur lighter than Dallas. I am fair so I do have to use a light hand when applying Dallas. Rockateur has more of a glow/sheen from it which I think is so pretty and unique.

Rockateur is pretty close to Dallas in shade but has a bit more rose and a hint of gold too which made me choose it over Dallas. I have the same skin tone as you. Also, Rockateur has no talc so you get a more natural finish and it doesn't accentuate your pores.
