Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow

What it is: A brow-volumizing fiber gel. What it does: This innovative brush-on fiber gel adheres to skin and hair creating brows where before there were none. It builds easily for thick, lush arches, thanks to a tapered brush for blending and a precision tip for shaping. Questions & Answers for Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow

Question
Does it cover gray brow hairs?
My mom has quite a few gray eyebrow hairs, but because she has sparse brows overall, she doesn't want to pluck them. She seems to be having luck with Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in that it covers the gray well. Will Gimme Brow cover grays AND give the look of more volumized brows?

In a word, yes. It doesn't completely cover the gray hairs, but it adds enough volume that the gray blends in and the overall look is of the light brown (in my case).

It does really well with my white and grey brow hairs, mixed with my "original" dark brown brows. Get it for her! And tell her to blot the glop from the brush tip before she applies it.

my skin/ hair color is similar to yours and I went with the lighter one to play it safe. If it does end up being too ligh,t a little bit of matte brown eye shadow or brow powder before applying the gel seems to do the trick

I have fair skin, hazel eyes and medium brown hair with very subtle red color in it, my brows are naturally darker than my hair. I picked the darker color to try and I love it. The contrast of the bold brow against my light skin is perfect and it still looks natural. If you want subtle perhaps the lighter would be best depending on how light your brows are now! I hope that helps!

I am also fair to medium skin tone with lighter brown hair... I am on my second tube of this stuff! (I use medium/dark) I have found with continuous use that the product acts like a buildable foundation. Use light strokes and follow the application tips enclosed in the packaging and you should be good! Add as much as you want until you feel it is closely matched to your natural brow color! Also: as part of my routine I brush this into my brows, filling them in extra where needed, etc. I allow the product to sit and dry while I apply mascara then use my eyebrow brush to go back and shape them. Brushing it after it dries helps the product to lighten up a bit and not be too harsh on my brows!

I have black hair and very dark brown, almost black, brows and the darkest colour MED/DEEP is perfect. I was nervous that it may be too light at first since I have tried all the high-end brands and struggle to find dark enough colours, however I find that the dark shade creates great dark depth but still looks natural. Also, the shade is AMAZING, it definitely does not pull too warm or anything so it looks very natural next to black hair.

I also wanted to add that even though this looks super dark on screen, it's not that impactful out of the tube.

I'd say it's about 2 shades lighter than my hair, so there's no Groucho Marx look going on. It produces lovely results.

I hope it gives you the results you're seeking. If not, you can always exchange. Sephora has a great return policy. :-)

I have black/brown hair -- the darkest brown you can get before going black. I also have a very light complexion. I chose the darker of the two, and it works perfectly because you're applying this to the brow hairs, not the skin. I am in love with this product. After all these years of trying to color in my sparse brows that have fallen out due to hypothyroidism, I finally have a product that enhanced the light brow hair that's grown back and makes it fit with my very dark hair.

Hope you find this helpful. It's not an overpowering color.

This works just like a mascara tube/wand (a tiny one). The color should be on the bush when you unscrew the tube. Sound like you need to exchange for a new one.

You should not have to pull off the rubber stopper to get to the product. It is not supposed to clump onto the brush. However, if you are not getting product onto the brush, I would think it is defective and encourage you to switch it out. You may want to double check the new one at the store.

answer 5
I didn't have to remove anything. It doesn't produce a large amount of product on the wand when you pull it out. That would defeat the purpose of providing realistic results. It's subtle but can be built up if you want a stronger brow.

Hope this helps.

Yes! My eyebrows are growing back after chemotherapy, and the few that have grown back are white. This product deposits good color to the hair that you may have, and if I combine it with a brow powder, people are amazed to hear that my brows are basically all makeup. Very natural looking.

Depending on your age and natural hair colour before hand, I would say the brown is a safe bet. If you had darker hair before hand, however, you could be daring and go with a darker shade. The brown is a medium blonde colour (in my opinion)

If your remaining brows are not very dark, I would use the light-medium. I had brunette hair when I was younger and my brows are still brown, but the dark is way too dark. The light-medium is a taupe- brown, if that helps.
