Questions & Answers for Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Eye Pencil

Question
Is it easy to apply?
I like that you can use a sharpener on this -- I just need to know if it is easy to apply to lower lash line? It says it's on the soft side but I am hoping it is firmer since I don't seem to have the best control with softer ones like one I purchased from urban decay... they tend to go on unevenly and smudge by accident. My needs are simple, I don't like to use a lot!

I would not recommend this for you then. I feel my needs are similar to yours and I did not like it. It is too soft which makes it hard to apply accurately

In my opinion it's slightly firmer than Urban decay pencils but but it's still fairly soft. Most higher end pencils seem to be on the soft side from what I've noticed. The nice part about this one is you have the handy smudge brush, you could essentially only put it on the outer corner of your lower lashes and use the smudge brush to bring it over. I personally switched over FROM UD to this pencil because it has better staying power, and my UD kept getting hard when I forgot the cap, I didn't like them enough to purchase new ones and moved on

This is an OKAY product for tight lining. It is hard to get the pencil to a tip because it is so soft, but at the same time it does not crumble. I find it better for lower lashes than anything else. I think the tip is too big for tight lining.

I didn't like the eyeliner on my lid so I tried it for this as well but I didn't find it worked well. It smudges too easily and never really sets.

Question
How do I get a sharp point on this after the first several uses
The pencil case is plastic, not wood, and I can't seem to find a way to dial the pencil up.

You sharpen this in a normal handheld makeup pencil sharpener. I'd suggest something specifically made for makeup and not a "school" type sharpener, they just aren't sharp enough and often break your eyeliner
