Questions & Answers for Philosophy Time In A Bottle

Question
Anyone encountered flaking/peeling with this product?
I just bought this product and after one use, I noticed white flakes on my face. I can't tell if it's the product itself flaking/peeling off or if it's dead skin cells being chemically exfoliated off. Has this happened to anyone else? I applied the product to clean, dry skin and did not apply any additional products to my face.

that is actually a good thing if your skin is starting to dry and flake(that means its doing its job). that is how you get rid of lines and wrinkles by taking layer by layers of skin off at a time. when I use a product to get rid of wrinkles that is what I look for and by the time my wrinkle(s) are gone then I use a moisturizer to take care of the dry skin! a lot of people don't know that retinol is actually supposed to make your skin peel so spread the word! I see a lot of reviews on anti aging products where people give it a one star because it dried their skin out.. that's what it is supposed to do.

Hi I too saw flaking at first, but after a couple uses that will stop. I also did not see how great this product is until a month of use. I love it!

I wondered about this also. When I used it the first week I didn't see any flaking but the other day I used it and when I put on my sunscreen, it started flaking/peeling off. I don't know if its because of exfoliating or if the product doesn't mix well with my sunscreen.

For myself I got all sorts of dry patches all over my face from using this product, frankly - I returned it. I used it for 3 weeks and found no difference in my skin tone other than damage done by it.
I've used other products like this and seen results within the first week, with no flaking and dry patches and damage. Hope this helps.

Question
Can you use Philo Help Me with this?
Can I combine the Help me night treatment with this serum? Should I put this on first, then add the Help me. Or use this during the day and the help me at night. Or do I even need the help me?

If you are going to use them together, apply time in a bottle first followed with the Help Me. You can just use this once a day and apply it in the morning and use the Help Me solo at night but you are going to get optimal results when used together. Maybe start off applying twice a day and tapering off to once a day after a month as maintenance. I'll be using mine twice a day until someone pries the empty bottle out of my cold lifeless hands :)

I have been using take a deep breath and I love the results. I have acne prone, combination skin and this combination has worked miracles for me. I cleanse with miracle worker, apply time in a bottle, hope in a tube and finish with take a deep breath. My skin has never looked more refreshed, clear, smooth or younger.

Question
Do you need to apply an SPF when usin this product in the A.M.?
Just wondering if this will cause you to have a Sun sensitivity? I don't want to burn my face by setting by a window or riding in a car! Some of my powders have an Spf & some don't (same w/ some primer like Tarte Bright-Clean Slate) on the day's when I just want something quick. Most times I wear a BB or CC so I'm covered. Just wondering for my " in a rush day's " / lazy days! Any feedback ( this will be my 2nd question posted for this prod. ) would be greatly appreciated :) ! Thank you ladies!

I would say to use something with sunscreen just to be safe. Anything that exfoliates or encourages exfoliation would, in theory, expose your younger skin cells to the sun. Without the dead cells on top of the young ones, they're more vulnerable to sunlight. You wouldn't want to ruin all your hard work by not protecting your skin!

Yes, always add sunscreen to your daily facial routine. I have noticed that all the philosophy products I use do not have sunscreen in them.

No. I have very sensitive skin (it usually breaks out from even the most expensive and "delicate" of products). At first, I was like you and very hesitant to purchase this due to my bad history with certain products. But somehow philosophy did it and this item is GREAT! Seriously, give it a try. It will not make your skin oily, nor dry it out. It is perfect for sensitive skin, like they made it for people specifically like us.

Absolutely not! You will be amazed at actually how clarifying this product is for oily skin. I have combination acne prone skin and it has helped these problems. I tried it for the anti-aging benefits and am pleasantly surprised at all the fringe benefits it has provided for my skin type less oil, acne, and visible scars and that's in addition to erasing my fine lines and improving the deeper ones. You will love this.
