No, it is not green-tinted. It is white when it comes out of the tube. I suffer from redness too. I use this for my hormonal acne & Cliniques Redness Solution foundation for my redness. I am very pleased at how well the primer works on my blemishes. Ask your nearest Sephora for a sample. I always ask for a sample before making a skin-related purchase. It saves time & money in the long run. Good Luck!

No, it's not like the green primer. This primer is white and the misconception comes from the green color of the tube. I was a bit disappointed at first. I still use the green primer to correct for redness in my skin, but I also use this primer for breakouts. I love both of them. Maybe it a ploy by Smashbox to get you purchase more products, but both products work for me so I purchase both, though it's pricey.

This is not green tinted at all! The bottle is just green in color. The product is creamy and white, but blends right into the skin and evenly spreads.

I put my primer on after my moisturizer (morning routine). My pores stay open, so that I can use a mask or exfoliator to clear my skin during my night routine. I've used the primer by itself, but only while on vacation in a humid/hot climate.

I've always heard to apply the thinner serum or lotion first, so the primer goes on first. My moisturizer contains SPF so I always put this on last before my foundation. Would suggest doing the same even w/out SPF moisturizer.

The Smashbox rep I was talking to about this product recommended that I use it in the morning and before bed after cleansing to clear up my skin. I tried it for a couple of days but I found it was too drying for my already dry skin. That's just me though. The rep definitely said that it could (and should) be used at nighttime as well.

I've have terrific results with it clearing up my skin. I hope it works for you :)

This product can be used before going to bed; I believe it depends mostly on your beauty regimen. This is not the most inexpensive way to apply salicylic acid, but would keep things simple. If you are looking for anti-aging properties, you may want to select something else.

I have no idea if it's actually meant to, but I recently did on two pretty large pimples and had no problems. I used quite a bit more than I normally would, and I only used it as a spot treatment, but it cleared them up faster than anything had before.

I use it at bed time too and it works great for me. If a pimple is coming on, I dab the product on and it either goes away or seems to diminish the breakout significantly so it's doesn't get big and it may just be a small bump. I love this product.

Because there is really no color after application, and the primer is not tacky, I think it would make a lot of sense for a male to use this if they are looking for oil and blemish control.

I have sensitive breakout prone skin. As amazing as this stuff was for coverage, it made my skin worse by the week. I really really wanted to like it, but it just wasn't right for my skin. If you want to, I'd try a small patch on your skin and see how it fairs. I broke out a lot on my chin when I used this.

I am going to say yes, your husband can use this product. It is non-drying if used once a day. It also creates a great barrier between the skin & make up, so it will also protect from the elements in the air if worn alone. Good Luck. You can always ask for a sample in store. The employees are always willing to help with samples before you commit to a purchase.

Wash your face first. Then Moisturize your face. Try using the smashbox item on your face, Then let it sit on your face a few seconds just like foundation. Then put on your foundation. After setting spray !! Works wonders :)

Salicylic Acid basically sloughs off dead skin and sebum, so you may find that exfoliating before you get started will cut down on the peeling, if it is your skin doing the peeling.

If the product is pilling up, it could be the buffing motion that you are using. You might try sweeping the foundation on in longer strokes, then blending it out in another direction, and not working it in so much. The same with applying the primer itself. If you overwork it, many foundation primers will start to peel off.

It's really pricey, but it's a "less is more" type of item, so if you use it wisely you can totally increase its longevity. It's also a great working product in itself and is worth the splurge if your skin is a focal point of your makeup routine.

If you are able to get to a Sephora, ask an emloyee for a sample & they will make you one. If you are ordering online, everything has a money back guarantee. I happen to love this product. I read all the reviews & decided to try it anyway. Could not be happier with how well it has cleared up my hormonal acne!

I love it and it's the only thing that has worked for me. Plus Sephora will take it back if you're not satisfied. However, I have purchased a smaller size for travel at other stores/sites. I'm worried about running out so I just purchased another large size on Sephora and received a deluxe sample size too with the promotion code "clearskin" (if this code will still work for you and note the code should work with any purchase over $25).

This primer does not have that many reviews yet because it only came out about 2 weeks ago... and no they haven't made this primer into a mini size yet because its so new. On Sephora's website right now you can get a mini tester size of this if you enter the code PRIME at checkout.

This product is white in color so it would not help with redness correction, just the bottle is green. It does contain salicylic acid to help keep acne down. If you try it and don't love it or it doesn't work for your skin, then return it. Sephora has a great return policy! Hope that helps you!

No. Just the tube is green. The product is white, and goes on clear. Due to the salicylic acid, it might actually irritate the skin or cause more redness. It is primarily for acne control, and helps control oil somewhat.
